First time back after awhile and not a good experience. Placed order to go on GrubHub at 5:49. It gave me a pickup time of 6:30. Got there around 6:05 and checked in. He said 20 minutes. Our food for two people finally came out at 7:02 (1 hr 13 m). It was Friday night, but they should be staffed appropriately. A couple who said they were regulars came ordered and walked out with their meals in 10 minutes. Huh? The temperature inside the restaurant was 88 degrees (see pic of thermostat). People were waiting outside where it was 90 because at least there was a breeze. Felt sorry for the two guys working there. The one guy (Adam) was super apologetic and made several nice gestures to make things better realizing I waited over an hour. Nice touch and the only reason my rating wasn't one star. Food: I ordered the onion ring burger half pounder. Bun was good, but wet by the time I got home to eat it. Condiments were good. The beef seemed low grade and a bit fatty. 3 of 5. My wife got the chicken gyro. Said it was good with no complaints and plenty of food. 4 of 5. Crinkle cut fries. They weren't fresh, some burnt. 0 of 5 Two chef salads...4 of 5 No napkins, forks, ketchup for fries...and no mention they weren't in the takeout bag. 0 of 5 Inside the restaurant was not clean or organized. We ordered Big City Grill through UberEats. Every Tuesday, my fiance and I have dinner night. Typically, we cook for each other but in the time of coronavirus, we have been participating in the #takeouttuesday campaign. After finally narrowing down what we wanted to eat, my fiance suggested Big City Grill. I've never seen this place, never been there, never heard of it. The UberEats menu looks a little different from the menu on their website but the prices match up. I had to look at both menus at the same time to make sure I was picking the right item on the UberEats app. I placed the order around 6pm via the app while I was at work. I scheduled the order for delivery between 7:15pm and 7:45pm. I arrived at my fiance's house around 7:30pm and the food was there waiting for me! My fiance said it arrive around 7:15pm, so the delivery was prompt. I ordered a double angus burger with cheese. The burger doesn't come with sides but it was less than $8 to begin with it. My fiance ordered the buffalo chicken salad with the meat and dressing on the side as a special instruction. We were glad to see the special instruction was followed. The burger was really good. It was cooked well-done, no pink at all but wasn't dry. It wasn't overly seasoned but it had a good taste and to me, seemed to be good quality meat. The condiments were fresh. I asked for extra pickles and that's what I got. The side of onion rings were crispy and tasty. Not greasy. Other reviews said the onion rings traveled better than the fries for delivery. Fries don't do well with delivery from anywhere really. My fiance's salad was good she said. It was large and came with an ample amount of buffalo chicken. At the end of the evening, we were satisfied with our meal. It was delivered quickly and was still fresh. The quality and taste was good and the whole meal, with delivery, came to less than $30. One of the best burgers I've ever had and I'm not even big on eating red meat. Their customer service was great and they were quick, it literally took no more than 10 minutes. This is a review for an online order placed on GrubHub. Was staying at a nearby hotel and got a craving for a burger. Order arrived fairly quickly. Their black angus burger sure was tasty and a good size. Nothing to complain about, it was a pretty good burger. The best part were the gigantic portions of fries. These certainly taste fresh and you'll find yourself eating every last one no matter how full you are. Also ordered their "Buffalo Chicken Fry Pie." Their description of it sounded amazing not really sure what to expect. Really it's just buffalo chicken strips covered in cheese on top of fries. Good for an appetizer. Ordered from here a few times. Food was decent until today when I found GLASS in my food. Tried to call the restaurant but all the phone does is ring and ring. I ordered through Uber Eats so I did get my money back, will never order from here again. Save yourself and never order from here either. I started eating at Big City when they were located off Oakfield drive, since it was my go to for lunch during my break. Ordered multiple items from their menu, never had I had to send my food back, or complain. Big city is your typical burger and fries, chicken tenders, chicken wrap, wings place. You can dine in, or carry out or do delivery with them or through Uber Eats. Place is decent, though I preferred their original location on Oakfield. However, these are NOT those fries. Stick with the o-rings; they travel far better. The gyro was good, not excellent. The Philly was very good, about one soggy hoagie roll and a limp lettuce leaf from 'great'. I would imagine that, in person, the food is quite good. The saving grace out of a sea of mediocre is the price. This meal, delivered to my door, cost less than a much skimpier meal in person at most local places (and, frankly, it got to my table just as quickly as many sit-down joints). Nothing here screamed, "Eureka!" but nothing was less than "okay". For this price, that's a home run. What got this place the fourth star was the Greek salad. HUGE and with a really good flavour. Ordered a Philly and Fries on Friday night while I was struck in the house sick. Free delivery...very nice, great prices and I was so pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty the food was. Even sick, I thought it delicious. What really won me over was the speed it was delivered. My husband & I both had tough weeks so we decided to try their free delivery, I went online but delivery would take 1 hr. Went back & changed it to take out.. 45 minutes. My wife is 3 months pregnant and called in with her co worker to order a chicken salad. She asked the gentlemen to please make sure the chicken was cooked well done because she is pregnant and uncooked food doesn't go good with her.. 10 minutes later the food was already delivered. My wife ate the food and within minutes started to throw up and have extremely bad pains to the Point she had to leave work and her co Worker got sick as well. I called in to speak to a manager and was advised i would receive a call back.. I never received one. I called back and talked to someone who called himself a manager and said he wasn't gonna do anything for us and didn't seem to honestly care. I advised no problem I would submit a complaint with the BBB and write a review.. i was advised "well ill respond to the review". Ok? Respond. I am attaching a picture of the vommit that was so bad that she was bleeding from straining herself. I am sending this complaint to every social media outlet as well as BBB and also the health department. I literally watched this place make a rapid decline and needless to say the pandemic did not help this business at all. The restaurant always had questionable cleanliness but now it's like they're like bleep it. No table is ever clean. Today was the final visit that did it for me. The worker who was basically the chef, cashier, and everything is the same guy who prepared the food last visit looks like he's living off the streets ( to be clear this is not okay when working with food). I went to use the bathroom and wash my hands and didn't enter and instead went to TJ Maxx's cleaner bathrooms. Big city grills was filled with yellow urine that looked to had been there a while. Now, this place looked like it hadn't had much business earlier on this Monday so my only guess is that it was the employees who I envisioned probably urinated throughout the day without hand washing. I've always called ahead to order so my food would be ready to eat in or just order when I get there. I've never had to wait. I guess they have a problem with delivery but, I've never gad a delivery order. I've always had very good fast service when eating there. The only problem is calling in the girl at the cash register does not always understand the order. It just painful to call ahead. She has never gotten my order wrong though. She just seems new and not that families with the menu yet. Other than that I've always gad great food there. I either get the Gyro or Philly steak combo with drink and fries. Horrible service I would never in my life feed this food to a dog. The chicken was under cooked I was into 3 bites of my food and within 10 mins I instantly threw up. This is probably the best place I've ever had food delivered from. I was craving mozzarella sticks, only had cash, and needed something to eat ... which is when I found out that Yelp delivers and this place checked both of those items off. I placed my order, and it was here in about 15 minutes, (much quicker than UberEATS and DoorDash) and I highly recommend. On 1/7/19 a coworker and I ate at Big City Grill in Brandon Fl. She ordered a turkey sandwich a coke chili fries or fries with the works and ordered me a double cheese burger and fries with a coke. This was around 11:45am at about 1:00pm I was at my Eye Doctors Office when my stomach started cramping and I began to feel really nauseous. As I finished my Doctors appointment I rushed home to make it to the bathroom where I was violently vomiting and having a bowel movement at the same time. Which we're all symptoms of food poisoning. After that horrific ordeal I immediately called Big City Grill to speak to a manager about the situation. The young man I spoke with was very professional he explained to me that the manager that I needed to speak with was not there but would be coming in and that he would have him to call me back that same day. Well I never received a phone call at all. So the next day 1/8/19 I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I explained to the manager Paul that I called yesterday and that the manager was supposed to have called me back yesterday because I received food poisoning from his business. He replied yes I seen that and asked me when did I start feeling sick I told him at around 1:00pm he replied well it takes 4 hours or a day to have symptoms of food poisoning. I explained to him that I've worked in the medical field before and it was food poisoning from his establishment. Paul intern and replied that he was certified as something and that they cook their burgers at the right temperature and that I had to have eaten something else somewhere else. So I asked him Paul was there someone else that I could speak to. He replied no. So I asked him could I have his corporate number he told me to go online. I told Paul instead of him accusing the customer of not getting food poisoning he should have handled the situation in more of a professional way. He replied I don't know what you want me to tell you. That is when I asked him for his last name he replied you don't need a last name!!!... So I hung the phone up. 1/10/19 I was at lunch and seen one of the young men that brought our food out to our table on 1/7/19 so I asked him is there a manager at Big City Grill above Paul he replied No. So UNPROFESSIONAL and food can give you food poisoning. Just found out from Facebook review that this has happened before at this establishment. These were the best gyros I have ever had probably. Everything was fresh, the vegetables were perfect (although for some reason they didn't come with lettuce??), the sauce was fresh and tasty, the bread too, and the meat was juicy not dry. The fries were perfect. The cheese sticks were perfect. I'm kind of a critic when it comes to food, so for me to say everything was perfect is not an exaggeration. Literal trash! Online ordering doesn't have all items. Get attitude when you call to order. Chicago dog was raw sc, cucumbers and two pickles. Mustard and onion hot dogs have three extra thin slices of onion and a few drops of mustard. Gyro with extra everything and extra sauce on side came with no sauce and basically no toppings.
