I think I'd be more inclined to spend my money at 'Joe's fairly average pizzas', as they at least would win points for honesty. Unsurprisingly, the pizza at Jacob's is, of course, overwhelmingly average, with nothing to recommend it above the hundreds of other similar outlets in Leeds. My margherita was cheap and perfectly edible, but missing any obvious hint of having had the 'expert' touch. Unless they're experts at making pizza go from boiling hot to lukewarm in 60 seconds, in which case I will happily concede them the title. They also do curries and burgers, and some good meal deals which, although they won't exactly be a culinary revolution, are pretty good value if you're with a load of hungry mates.

Very annoyed and left hungry after ordering over 2 hours ago, notification came through at 8.56pm stating food on the way, the driver knocked on my door at 9:50pm, 1 hour after the notification that it was being delivered! Bad service, being a very loyal customer for over 4 years and recommending to family for the used to be amazing food and service, i will not be ordering again and i have advised family to avoid! Two times in a row, no previous issues despite being a customer for years and ordering during busy times before too, so no excuse at all! I was with a friend once who asked for some cheesy chips, only to presented with seemingly age old fries with a sparse sprinkling of cold, unmelted powdery cheese. The prices are rather steep, especially considering what you get for your money, meaning that Adel Pizza is generally an experience to be avoided.

Delivery was prompt and the pizza was sufficiently warm so no problems there. There was a small mistake with the order but again, nothing really major and just slightly inconvenient. The real problem was with the actual standard of the pizza. There was plenty of it as it was a BOGOF (which made it only marginally more expensive than the local independent) but the base was a bit cardboardish and the topping was sparse and quite bland. I can normally polish of a 12 incher on my own (stop sniggering) but I found that I could only manage a couple of slices of this one before I needed liquids to stop my mouth feeling as if it was chewing on the box instead of the pizza. Now and again it's good to try something different if only to confirm that you've been making the right choice all along. When it comes to pizza the independents definitely rule the waves.

He dealt with it beautifully; he served us with the patience one must acquire working the late shift on a Saturday.
