New to the state/area.... Found this thrift store and I really enjoy it. It's not over priced like my CA Goodwills & Savers have become. I didn't really buy much here. I found a Easter plant pick and a cute Alaska mug. The bathrooms are located by the children's department in the left corner of the store. My mom found more stuff than me. Staff were nice. There was a gorgeous chartreuse green painted armoire. Too bad I live in MN and have no room in pickup truck. read more

Was an okay thrift store! Wouldn't be my 1st choice! Prices seemed a bit high! Cluttered a bit! Check out ladies too busy talking and being very loud about personal business! Had a hard time breaking away to check out customers! read more

Has an extensive variety of clothing, furniture, wall art and misc stuff. I've made several purchases from there over the years. Prices are a little bit higher than the last time I was there but prices are going up almost everywhere. read more

I like the idea of a "ministry" thrift store and I definitely like this particular Big Fish store better than the one further north. There is a lot of merchandise to look at and it is fairly well organized; clothing in one room, sporty items in another room and a third room for household merchandise. Pricing was a little odd. Clothing was a tad high as was some of the chotchkie & knick knacks but some of the furniture was, especially TV cabinets were really cheap. This facility is definitely worth the stop to take a look around. read more

There's a pair of these stores in the Foley area and we stopped at both yesterday. The northernmost location has more furniture and bigger items but this one has a good selection of clothes, home decor, etc. Big Fish Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that seeks to meet the needs of the homeless and addicted in south Baldwin County. We do this by providing long-term residential, Christ-centered recovery and outpatient recovery services. Funding for our programs is provided through the generous support of individuals, churches, businesses and our two Foley thrift store locations. read more

Helpful employees. Not tons and tons of clothes, but a good selection with good sales. $0.50 and $1 items, and there were actually a lot of them, unlike at some thrift stores during colored tag sales. Left with several vintage items and a few name brand items. read more

I have been shopping at big Fish before they move to the store. Normally I have an absolutely amazing experience with all the employees at both stores. I was there last Thursday there was a recliner I wanted it w sold. No big deal. Went back in today which is Monday and it's still there. I inquired about it right lady at the door told me that normally they'll make a phone call to see if they're coming to get it or if there was a situation and I was very grateful to hear that they were willing to do something to find out if I could get this chair for my handicapped neighbor who was in there with me on Monday. I wanted to surprise her. So they couldn't find the assistant manager because the manager was off. IFinally found the assistant manager sitting in a chair back in the corner by the dressing rooms. On her phone. I can I expressed to her the situation and asked if there's anyway she could make a phone call to see if they were coming to get it if there's any chance I could get it today. She wouldn't even get off her phone. Much less look at me or address me... still sitting in the chair on her phone saying nothing she couldn't do anything. I was like a big inconvenience for her to even stand up and put her phone down. So I kind of pursued it in a very nice manner saying could you please try to find out something or call somebody who could find out something knowing I only have today off from work but it's possible for me to do this today, once again...sitting on her phone still sitting. I could tell she did not want to try and help me in anyway, saying this was not her store and she's not there and she doesn't email anything that I would have to get hold of the manager tomorrow. Instead of calling the person she said would be there or had stepped out. Walked away without saying anything. As I was walking away she called me crazy. My daughter was looking at clothes in the first row.And could not believe her ears. We are Christians your stand people have hard days, but this treatment of another human being, and being so rude and not helpful was actually very disheartening. Very sad. Stopped at the door on the way out and talk to the original woman and she was super nice but reallyCannot offer any help, so this is the assistant store manager Paulina.I don't understand Why employees are allowed to be on their phone much less sitting in a chair not even trying to be cordial to me. Very very disappointed,, never once was I disrespectful did I raise my voice. Is it too much to ask for some have a common courtesy for another human being and at least stand up and address them. So so very disappointed, I have never been treated like this before in my 58-year-old woman who treats everybody regard and respect. This was my first time there. The staff was very nice and very clean shop. Great selection of fun clothes.

Don't use pickup service - incredibly unreliable. Only picked up half of items donated after three different scheduled appointments. Desk manager only makes excuses and doesn't listen to understand how this impacts people trying to donate, so the problem won't be solved anytime soon. We will not deal with them again. read more
