This place is awesome. We sat outside in the shade and had a wonderful time. They have lots of tvs for watching sports as well as cornhole and other activities, this is a great place to bring a family. The food was really great. I loved everything I tasted and thought it was very well done. Our server was a bit slow and many of the food runners didn't seem to know where the tables were supposed to be. I love the ambiance at this newly opened brewery in Omaha! There's TVs to watch the game, and ample selection of barstools, booths, and seating outside. It's exactly the place I'd put on the schedule for an after work happy hour. I love their beers and cocktails. The vibiest new spot in Omaha! The space is truly beautiful, the food is delicious and the service is so warm and friendly! The standouts for us were the apps - the reuben bao buns and queso are seriously out-of-this-world! Had to check out the new brewery in town so I took my parents here to kill some time in the afternoon. We were seated right away despite them being packed, and I gotta tell you, this place is massive. And while the inside might've been full, we chose to sit on the patio. The setup is awesome whether you're wanting to sit around a fire pit, at a table, or at the bar, there are options for each. Despite them being swamped we got our drinks right away. I got some kind of key like sour and it too was phenomenal. Super sour! We also got the chips and queso for something to munch on which was super solid. We have been to big Grove breweries in other parts of Iowa. I'm so glad it has made it to the Omaha area! Big Grove has a unique outside area with heaters and fires that make for a comfortable dining space for a good part of the year. The food is consistently top-notch. The menu is smaller, which works perfect for the quality of food that the kitchen puts out. The proprietary beers never lack in options or big flavors. Went to Big Grove for the Husker game. Our waitress was so nice. Some seating has better views of the TVs than others, but all seating is comfortable. The food was very tasty along with the beers. The three of us had the Brewers Board pretzel for starters. Best pretzel I've had in a while. Chicken sandwich was solid, good buffalo sauce Noodle dish was good but the tofu was a let down. It wasn't cooked in a way that helped the dish. It soaked up all the sauce and the bites became soggy and salty. Finally BEST bite of the trip, the mushroom melt. The sandwich was cooked with hefty meaty chunks of mushrooms. The cheese and sauce were in great balance with the house made focaccia. My only qualm with the sandwich was that it fell apart while I was eating it because it was so packed with goodness. I'd happily get my hands messy again to eat that melt. Started outside by the warm fires for a drink then went inside to grab a bite to eat. The cheese and mustard that came with the Pretzel were tasty. The picture of the Mac & Cheese speaks for itself - chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Definitely enough for dinner and a lunch the following day! I had the best experience at this spot. I visited twice last week & I plan to go back again this week again. Highly recommend the fondue fries. We ate every last bite. I would've licked the bowl if the place wasn't so packed. . My taste buds were having a moment. The salad was so fresh and crisp. I appreciated the fresh dill on top. You cannot go wrong with the stir fry noodle bowl. We did the chicken and shrimp. The Prime Dip.. Also fire. First off the seating arrangement is kinda weird. We noticed the large dare I say gigantic outdoor patio space and picked our seat. Only then was I approached by a young lady who said you would have to check in with the front desk to be seated. What is this a hotel restaurant? We obliged and were seated in an oddly obscure seat not nearly where we wanted. Service was quick but obviously there are some growing pains in the institution as the waitress who barely knew what she was doing mentioned she was training another in tow. Drinks were ordered and brought by another server. We then ordered a few apps that were once again brought by a different server. All in all apps were good and tasty. Kinda disappointing that none of the flagship beers were on tap as they only had 4-5 for this brewery. Food was good 4 stars, service 3 stars. First visit. At first glance I was excited. The menu looked good. I have a gluten allergy so often I got the Grove salad. When it arrived, it looked fabulous so I was hopeful. Lost opportunity. Drenched in salad dressing, my mistake, should have said on the side. Second, we're talking a dinner salad for about $14. No protein? Also, the pecans were bits and barely perceptible. The lettuce was mixed greens, the kind that are difficult to cut and stick out of your mouth with every bite. I love marinated onions but they were too plentiful. My husband ordered the Reuben & tomato bisque. He raved about the sandwich and said it was delicious. He said the soup was Oily? I may try again but I'll seriously pass on that salad. Visited with my better half on a Sat night and as much as I wanted to leaving raving about a 5-star experience, I could not. The main draw for me was the outdoor seating area, and that did not let me down. The first disappointment was that their liquor license only allows them to sell beer they brew on premises, so there were only 5 options to choose from. I managed to try 4 of the options by selecting a flight, and I would drink 3 of them again. The next let down was the food.. except the fries, which were perfect. I chose the reuben, and when it arrived at the table I was excited as it looked impressive. However, the meat, cheese, and sauce was like a soft gooey blob inside the tasty rye bread with no real texture. The taste wasn't bad, but for those wanting to sink your teeth into something solid you may be disappointed. Lastly, the service was a bit slow. With all that said, some or all of these issues may just be growing pains as they are still getting the hang of things and it may all improve. I will give them a few months and revisit as I'm hopeful this is the source of the issues I had. read more

Love this place! Second time coming to Big Grove, and it didn't disappoint. We sat outside; it was a little cold, but the overhead heaters kept us comfortable. Within seconds of being seated, the waitress came over to take our order. She was very attentive and gave us great recommendations on what to eat and which beers were most popular. Had the stir-fry noodle bowl with chicken, the perfect mix of flavor and spice. Highly recommend. The outdoor area reminded me of a brewery in Colorado--relaxed, cozy, and lively all at once. I originally gave this place 3-4 stars as we went on husband's birthday so already in good spirits. Also have met folks from their original location and looked like they were genuinely trying to improve. However, they continue to have very little selection of beers and chaos everytime we go if it is even mildly busy. Of course, when it's really busy on NYE, it was even worse. Never did I expect after months of ironing things out, that they'd be unable to accommodate 3 adults at a table while the kids enjoyed the Ballon drop and activities rather, had us sitting outside at a huge table because it was "their policy" to leave a handful of tables inside empty since our party included a few kids who were never at the table with us. It made zero sense and thankfully wasn't too cold under their warming lights but also split up the adults as one adult always had to go inside to keep an eye on the kids rather than allowing us to sit at a table inside where we could have seen them just fine. They wouldn't come around to take orders but for once so I didn't get to see what they had available for beers and was only able to order the main meals. Their beers are always good, I'll give them that. Also, NYE was a kid in our party's birthday and the staff said "oh ok" when we told them plus the child even had a Happy Birthday crown on and we all sang to the kiddo while staff just ignored us. I don't know why the staff, our waitor at minimum, couldn't have even said Happy Birthday, at minimum, to her and why they acted completely different than they did to husband who is a grown man and doesn't really care, like a kid does, if someone gives him well wishes. Plus they also gave him a free dessert which maybe was an anomaly. Who knows. Also the company now proudly supports being anti a certain group of people which is not how I'd ever run a business because why polarize someone who just wants a beer & decent food? The place is impressive, but service was spotty and our server looked frazzled. They were super busy on this Saturday night. Understandable. Was told they didn't have a liquor license, so I was not able to order a cocktail. And they had a whopping two beers on tap. This was highly disappointing!! I ordered water. The food took an hour to get, but it was tasty. I ordered the mushroom melt. There was no way to eat it like a sandwich tho, had to go at it with a fork and knife. By the time we finished our meal, our server was now bartending. We made our way to him to pay the bill.
