This is your spot for dining in Filipstad. Gorgeous beautiful site with a tower to climb and a bar inside ( not open when I was there ). I had the venison meatballs w gravy and creamy mashed potatoes. Delectable ! Outstanding. Very pleasant staff. Cod back looked amazing and had 4 of my party loving it. Def come here when in Filipstad. read more

History

Established in 2018.

1934 uppförde Karl Stjärnlöf det 28-meter höga utkikstornet. 1983 köpte Arne och Inger Stjerlöf Storhöjden och dåvarande "Bosjögården". Under deras år lades grunden för vad Big Hill Lodge är idag. 2018 tog Carl och Renate Stjärnlöf över nycklarna och renoverade och utvecklade Storhöjden till en fantastisk resturang i en unik miljö med fantastik utsikt.

Meet the Manager: Carl S.

Under decennier har anrika Storhöjden med sin storslagna utsikt varit ett kärt utflyktsmål som har lockat både lokala ortsbor, turister och äventyrare från hela Europa. I januari 2018 tog jag, Carl, och min fru Renate Stjernlöf över nycklarna för att en tredje gång ge nytt liv till "Hôjda" i sann Stjernlöf-anda. Allt började nämligen för snart 90 år sedan...
