The crown was then cemented in. My husband complained to me about it hurting for 3 months. We are snowbirds so we went to our local dentist who is an accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. We were told that it was NOT necessary to crown the tooth. There are newer methods which keeps the integrity of the tooth. Since the crown didn't fit and was painful, my husband had to have a new crown. My husband has been happy and not had any pain since.
