I used this company to help with a proposal over a year ago and felt the need to commend them on a job well done. Dave was a great guide and give us an awesome experience!

I helped to hold onto the balloon while it was being inflated (I'm the short one!)

Was on my bucket list for decades. The only way I was going to get someone to go with me was to buy their ticket! My daughter and I showed up before dawn on Sunday morning. Dave was concerned about the weather but we rode around in the companies van checking different locations. Sadly it just wasn't going to happen. On the way back to the Dale Evans restaurant he said he might could get another balloonist to fly the next day. My daughter and I were thrilled. She was only visiting from Nashville for the long holiday weekend. Monday was out last chance and we jumped at his offer. Monday morning we met at the restaurant and weather was on our side. He offered for us to help set up the balloon and I was happy to help. We went up in the red balloon and the other balloon was multicolored. Later I was happy it worked out that way because we got to see that one floating by. Dave answered all our questions with enthusiasm never hinting that he was tired of the same old questions he's probably answered a thousand times already. It wasn't what I had envisioned, hoping for a gust of wind to get the adrenaline going, LOL but rather a peaceful floating along. Very pleasant ride and definitely worth waiting all those years for.

We had a an awesome adventure! It was so much better than all of our expectations. From the start, Dave provided an explanation of what to expect, then we got to assist with getting the balloon flight ready, which helped with a lot of the nervousness. Then the flight was peaceful and quiet. Dave even gave us a little history and a lot of info on ballooning. What a great time we had. We would def recommend!

I actually had no idea they had a camp in the summer until one of my son's friends wanted to go here and asked us to join him. I'm so glad he did because it was an absolutely fantastic camp. It is fully outside, but they are mainly in the shade so I didn't worry about sunburn and also the kids never complained about it being hot. I have no idea what wizardry this is, but it was completely fine. Three days they zip line and two days they paddleboard. I was actually quite nervous because my son is small so I wasn't sure if he'd be able to zip line. I did call and ask and they said if it's a windy day that he would be tethered to a Guide. He ended up skipping zip lining for two of the days, but on the final day of zip line, he did it and he loved it. He's actually now asking for us to go back together. They also provide lunch, which is fantastic because I hate figuring out what to send for food. They provide snacks as well so all I had to do was send my son with a water bottle and on certain days with a swimsuit and towel. He had a fantastic time. You can drop off at 8:30 and pick up at 4:30, they really don't start till about 9:30 though and I totally took advantage of a later drop off. You can pay eight dollars a day to pick up at five, which is extremely reasonable. We've already been talking about going back to camp again here next year and maybe for additional weeks. He loved it.

Once we arrived the crew explained everything to us gave us the safety demo and we were off! Our guides, Andrew and Ryan were amazing! They were young and vibrant and kept our daughters entertained (6-7 IYKYK). We went through each zip line and obstacle with ease and had a great time while doing it. We learned a few fun facts about the birds and wildlife we came across and were given a few places to head to once we left. Overall this was a fun event to add to our great vacation. We would definitely come back and do it all over again. Thanks so much guys!

Amazing. She was principal harpist for the Florida Orchestra for 15 years so it is a real pleasure to hear her play. At the end of the trip I felt like I had just spent an enjoyable afternoon with longtime friends. This was our first experience with ballooning and we didn't know what to expect, but Ellen and Gene were super helpful in walking us through the process, and thoroughly answering all of our (well, mainly me..) questions. The flight was very smooth from take-off to landing! Gene did a great job piloting the balloon and Ellen flawlessly provided ground crew support. Unlike the aerial views from an airplane, where it's difficult to see the details of terrain because of the higher altitude, the aerial views from the hot air balloon were very clear and distinguishable. We flew over the Champion's Gate area and the flight lasted about 50 minutes. I brought my DSLR camera, but an modern mobile phone camera would work just as well. Although, at that height, I wish I had a neck strap for my iPhone.. Couple of other things from memory to share: - Our ride started at 6:15 am, which was really cool because we got to watch the sunrise in the balloon - At the altitude we were flying at (~400 ft), it was not cold in the gondola (balloon basket) as I initially expected. It was actually somewhat hot - because when the pilot triggers the propane burner to heat the air, the hot air radiates in all directions - including heating the air above the basket. - We had very calm winds, so the balloon was moving between 5-10 mph. I didn't initially know what speed to expect, but the slower speed made for a very smooth ride. - Ballooning is a regulated industry, so operators must perform annual inspections on their equipment. I felt safe the entire time. - Gene has over 9 yrs experience as a balloon pilot so he's well-trained. I was thoroughly impressed by how smooth the landing was. - You meet up the Aerostat crew at a predetermined location, and they take you in a van to the launch site and they drive you back. - At the end of the flight, they provide you with champagne, orange juice, and some cookies as a token of appreciation for flying with them. I would definitely fly with Aerostat in the future.
