This is a great local place to eat. Full ice cream bar with folks working it who will create some unusual stuff. They also do their own barbeque. They make their own sauce, make their own cole slaw, and even make their own home made hamburger buns. Very involved employees, happy to be there serving high quality home made food. Good food and good service! Brisket sandwich basket (7.99 - sandwich + side) was delicious but a little light on the bbq sauce. The meat was cooked very well. I had waffle fries as my side. We love eating at Tom's when we go to Pierre to see the family...in fact we go twice when we're there. Brisket Basket is my favorite and their baked beans side is awesome! Yum. We love BBQ and this hit the spot. We both ordered the Big Pig Burger. The gentleman (assuming owner) said he'd pay for any food we didn't like. He probably doesn't have to do that often. The BBQ sauce was excellent, homemade of course. We don't come to Pierre very often, but I'd definitely eat here again! May be the best bacon cheeseburgers in central South Dakota, certainly the best in Pierre. I only eat here once a month, because the double bacon cheeseburger would make it even harder to lose any weight. Seriously worth a lunch time visit if you're in the area. read more

Two Thumbs Up! We had the Pulled Pork sandwich and Half rack of ribs! Really nicely done Memphis BBQ and a great sauce to go with it. The rolls are made in house and are awesome! I was here 3 years ago and looked for it when returning to Pierre. Food is very good and flavorful. The ribs just fell apart and the meat fell off the bone. The pulled pork did not have any fat wich is what the wife prefers. Definitely recommend to anyone that love BBQ. This place puts famous Dave's to shame! Good job guys! read more

This place was very "meh". It was kind of cheap inside, and a bit dirty. The food they served us was bland and the menu was just so-so. The staff was pretty nice. I might try again if there was nothing else around but I think there's better options in Pierre. read more

My husband and I were in town for a conference and some of the locals recommended this place for lunch. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and my husband ordered the brisket sandwich. The burger was delicious and when my husband saw it he decided he wanted one so he ordered one as well. He wasn't fond of the brisket, but I thought it was good. He loved the burger. Today was mine and my girlfriends visit here. I was always intrigued by this place when I drove by so I thought we ought try it. I ordered the bacon BBQ sandwich and she ordered the grilled ham and cheese. The menu was very large but with great options. The sandwiches were very large and very delicious. It didn't take long either! The cook (I'm assuming the owner Heath) was very nice and asked how it was. By the time we finished eating, a larger man named Tom came and cleared our baskets and again checked how everything was. It was clean, friendly, and fast service. It was also very well priced for the amount of food we got. Very pleased and will definitely be back if we ever come through Pierre again. read more
