We bought a vehicle in November. When we bought the vehicle part of the deal was that a set of floor mats would be included. They didn't have them in stock at the time so they said they would send them to us. It's now almost May and no mats. We've called many times and have been promised that the mats were on their way at least three times. I've talked with 2 sales managers and both of them have failed to get this done. I mean, it's floor mats. How hard can it be? They're either totally incompetent or actually messing with us for some reason. It's too bad because our buying experience was actually pretty good. We went into Big Valley Ford on Saturday 6/14 to test drive a Hybrid Ford Maverick. We had been to 2 other dealers previously but we were unable to test drive one because they had been sold before we got there. The difference between those dealers and Big Valley Ford was that before we even arrived Tony said that they might not have what we wanted but they would be able to order it for us. Dealer one flat out said they would have to order it but then wouldn't put in the order. Dealer would only talk with my husband even though he and I both stated several times the truck was for me and again he said he would look for one but never offered to order it. Tony at Big Valley Ford not only took us out to test drive the hybrid model, he also showed us the Lariat trim package and then helped us order the car. Two days later a car that was similar to what we ordered arrived in a dealership close by and Tony called to see if we wanted it. We looked at it yesterday and brought it home. Tony was very responsive to our questions, did not pressure us to add on anything we didn't want and was a pleasure to work with. Giving 1 star because I can't give 0 stars. I had my car towed in on 4/30 because I thought the starter was gone. I reported that I saw and smelled smoke, car wouldn't start, and the starter or something wouldn't stop clicking. 5/2 Big Valley called and told me it was just the battery and the burning smell and smoke I had noticed were probably from "rat feces or urine" and noted "system is running as designed", then sent me on my way. The car died in the middle of the road the next day (5/3) and I had to wait 2 hours for a tow in the middle of the road because the car wouldn't shift to neutral since it died while in drive while running. I had it towed nearby to Heritage Ford in Modesto where I had to pay another $200+ just for them to tell me it's the starter. I feel I am owed at least my $205 back for the "diagnosis" from Big Valley Ford and I am thankful my car didn't die while I was on the highway just minutes earlier. Greg C has avoided my calls/not returned my voicemails for the past 2 days. I don't think I'll be returning or saying anything positive about my experience at Big Valley Ford. read more

My overall experience at this location was very subpar and uninitving. I bought a 2024 Darkhorse, the deal was reasonable after some negotiation and walking out. Being this is probably the 13th car I've bought, the experience was not all that. It was simply move the deal with no sales support in constantly having to nag the salesman for an update. Thank you The fun started when it came time to pay the down payment. It was agreed that we could put all of it on our AMEX, but all of a sudden the dealers card machine was "broken", however we were fast to catch the bluff when we mentioned that I bet it's broken so you don't have to pay a 4% processing fee. A little later on it miraculously started working again at this point the finance manager stated that we could only put a certain % and the rest via check. (Which was fine as many dealers have minimums, but it would be better if they could've layed that out first prior to locking in the deal). Overall, this dealership needs some work on being honest and proving some better pre and post sales support without judging the customer read more

I can't express enough how bad this place takes accountability for their actions. I was in early this month for an oil change on my 21 Shelby Gt500, and the oil filter was left loose. Shows how much importance is given to your vehicle, if my car is treated like this I can only imagine what they do to other vehicles. I go back the same day as my car is smoking and loosing oil pressure on the highway. I was told the filter was loose and the oil on my under shields is clean. I receive the car with what appears to be dirt and oil on the hand rest, along with a scuff on my Recaro seat. This was after I told them to take their time and get my car right. I ended up having to take it down there again to get the shields and undercarriage cleaned along with them to inspect the seat for damages. I had confirmed for a ride to work that morning and was told I could be shuttled, upon arrival I was told I worked to far and they couldn't lend me a loaner vehicle. I had to move my schedule around and miss working hours for an error they made. They cleaned the under shields and I was told the seat was not related. Then I confirm with them it wasn't as I barely drive the car (4k miles on dash). They then told me they had footage of the tech when he worked on the vehicle and it wasn't him. When I asked to see the footage they said they would send it to me. Fast forward almost a month now and apparently there was never footage and they aren't covering the damages. So not only did they do the service wrong, made me add miles to my vehicle, damaged my seat, they also lied to me. The manager was little to no help. Never again will trust this dealer. read more

I called and said it was being jumped and could they look at my car when I got there, it was a Saturday and I assumed the service department would be closed. It surprisingly was open. They were waiting for me when I arrived. I believe his name was Omar or Oscar, IDK, but he was wonderful. Being recently widowed. I'm terrified of being taken advantage of when it comes to car care. Just experienced the CP4 fuel pump failure in my 2015 6.7 superduty in mint condition with 92k miles on it. Not one of Ford's better ideas! Of course their recommendation was to replace the engine and add the "disaster" kit just in case it happens again, at a cost of $36,000.00 to , $40, 000.00.? Ford started using the CP4 pumps in 2011 and are having to pay tens of millions in class action claims but still installed the same pump on my truck alone with the "disaster" kit which don't solve the pump problem but hopefully will prevent the debris from the new pump failure from destroying your new engine. There 's only thing I can say at this point and that is I just found a new way to spell STUPID and that's FORD!!! I've owned Ford trucks my whole life because I always believed they are the best trucks on the market but now I'm having second thoughts about that. This is like marrying your first wife for the third time and expecting a different result? The real disappointment was when they gave my truck back and several hoses were not secured to their brackets, the positive battery cables wasn't tightened to the post, electrical wiring wasn't secured to the brackets and brackets were broken off, there was grease on the driver side step handle, door pocket and headliner..... Makes me wonder how many more things are not done right that I can't see? I'll just close by saying I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about driving it too far from home? I couldn't call the attorney fast enough to join the class action and hopefully before I die I'll get some of my money back from them? They just killed a fifty plus year relationship. read more

I sold my vehicle to this dealership over a month ago and was told I would receive payment within 7-14 days. That seemed fair at the time, so I agreed. However, 15 days passed with zero communication from anyone. When I called to check in, I was told they hadn't received the title yet and that I would get paid once it arrived. Then, without explanation, I was informed it would actually take 2-4 weeks before I'd see a check. Fast forward to four full weeks later -- still no payment, no update, no courtesy call. I took it upon myself to contact my loan company, who confirmed that the title had already been released over a week prior. So clearly, the dealership had what they needed but was still dragging its feet. When I called again, I was bounced around from person to person until finally being told to speak with their DMV clerk. I left two detailed voicemails that day and never heard back. Later that afternoon, I called again and was told she had already left for the day. About 45 minutes later, she finally called me back -- and instead of being helpful, she was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from the start. She repeatedly talked over me, had an attitude the entire time, and actually said, "Since you're refusing to listen to me, your check will be ready Monday at 11am." That kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable -- especially from someone representing a business that's holding thousands of dollars of someone else's money. The dealership has had the title electronically for over a week, but they're refusing to release my payment because they want a paper copy -- something my lender doesn't even issue. That's their internal process problem, not mine, and it's completely unethical to delay payment because of their own inefficiency. This entire experience has been nothing but frustrating, unprofessional, and disrespectful. The lack of honesty, accountability, and basic communication is astounding. I would strongly urge anyone considering selling or buying a vehicle here to go elsewhere. Took our 2013 explorer in to get the 3rd row seat belts installed. Was given a quote for the parts and labor over the phone. Had the parts installed on July 25,2022. F.C. was the advisor who called to tell me the cost was going to be $925, asked for the ok to install. I foolishly ok'd this without thinking about the original quote. When I went to pick up I asked about the price change and was told this is why they call, and they asked who quoted me on this. I didn't have this info on me. I asked would it make a difference had I had the name of the person who gave me the original quote. F.C. just said this is why I called to confirm. So what you mean to tell me is that you wouldn't have done the work at the original quote I would have to pay what you charge me or I wouldn't get my parts installed? Right? Uhh uhh this is the labor not sure why you were told the lower price ($400 cheaper). So basically nothing I could do. Now I leave and read the paperwork at home and notice there is a part that states these was a missing trim. I had NO idea what this was. Well I found out. In the third row the cup tray the insert was gone for the tray. It was there when I dropped it off but supposedly this was the missing trim. So of course when I take back to find out about this they tell me it was the missing trim stated on the paperwork. Well this wasn't missing when I brought my car in. But of course it's my word against theirs and this isn't even called a trim piece! I'm so pissed! THEY LIED! This tray insert was NOT missing when I took my car in to have the third row seatbelt installed but it sure was missing when i picked it up and these dishonest people didn't own up to breaking or misplacing while working on the 3rd row. Please read! Despicable at best, criminal at worst This is more than a review, this is a serious warning to consumers. In April of 2023 my grandmother, age 93, went to have maintenance done on her mustang. I don't know the exact model but it was a late 90's/Early 00's white mustang that I happen to know is currently very trendy with young men these days. She had purchased the vehicle new and like most older ladies, put very little miles on it. We didn't think much of her trip to Big Valley Ford until she got back home. They told her that something was wrong with her car. Something far too expensive to repair. They suggested (coerced) her to purchase a new vehicle. Which wouldn't necessarily be wrong BUT if you have an elderly person, wearing glasses, just going along with all that you're saying without asking any questions, small and frail, shifting about instead of walking, you would think they would at least put her in a small mini van or something with some safety features? Right? No. Instead she returned home in a previously owned, modified, bright blue Mustang with a loud muffler. Take a look at the photo I attached here and ask yourself if that's appropriate for a 93 year old. Immediately we ask what happened and she tells us everything in a daze. "It just happened so fast." She also tells us that she's scared of the car and all of its buttons and how fast it is. The very next day, my father goes down there to get this situation fixed and get her car back. When he arrives he begins speaking to a woman on the staff and as soon as he says my grandmothers name, her face drops completely. She knew exactly who he was talking about without an explanation. I believe the salesman who took advantage of my grandmother was Angelo. (Not 100% sure on the name) But he's not the only one to blame. Everyone in that dealership watched it happen and not a single person stepped in. Businesses need to have a code of ethics but as people yourselves, I would hope you'd all have a conscious. Unfortunately, they had ALREADY SOLD HER CAR in less than 24 hours. This leads me to believe, the salesman knew the value of her car and its current popularity. It couldn't have been in better condition for him to slip away from her. We were able to return the car but she couldn't get all of her money back. These people took the last bit of independence she had and because of that her condition has worsened this year and she was recently hospitalized. If you have cared for the elderly, you might have an idea of how devastating it is to them. I was venting to a friend of mine who works with the district attorney about this situation recently. It was very upsetting for her to hear and she said she wanted ask about what kind of ramifications legally could be taken. At most all I hope for is some accountability for this wrong doing. Took my Ford truck to get serviced. I was having issues what seems to be drivetrain related, heater was not working and headlight alignment. Dropped off my truck overnight and the service advisor called me the next morning and gave me estimate for diagnostic for the above mentioned. SA later called me again to state that they found the area of the problem by placing truck on a lift and used stethoscope onto the rear differential and they "heard noises". They will need more time to open up the rear differential to see what the issue was and was an additional expense for diagnostic . Authorized the additional time but they were unable to go more further due to the type of work would hold up a lift. They completed the rest of the service . After getting my truck back, heater works which I was happy about. It was getting too hot so I turned AC on and heat kept on. Something doesn't seemed right. Called SA and he told me that maybe another vent motor went out and they would look at it when I take my truck back in for the rear differential issue. He said that the AC shouldn't work because "it's cold outside". Quite the contrary, should work even better due to the cold temperature. Nevertheless, I wanted to get another opinion about the rear differential issue so I took it to a local rear differential shop that specializes only on rear differential. He took it for a drive and said no issues with rear differential. He told me to take it to a transmission shop due to a studder he felt while driving . This was the same issue I have been complaining to the dealer . Took it to Transmission shop and he describe to the T the issue. It was the torque converter and is a well known issue with my year of Ford truck. He advise me what to do which was a simple fix and it has worked ever since. And guess what, no cost to me. It's been a week now and still no issues. I paid over $200 for diagnostic which was the wrong diagnostic. I paid for the heater to work but now AC doesn't work. The only thing that I was happy about was the headlight adjustment . I am not a happy customer and will not be coming back to Big Valley Ford. They should have checked my heater and AC system before they gave me back my truck AND the wrong diagnosis was the straw that broke the camels back. I will stick to my reputable local shops to do service on my Ford truck! read more

My husband and I walked in Thursday afternoon in hopes of buying a new "explorer 2022" we look around and we settle for one. We decide to trade in our 2018 Nissan Altima. After we close the deal we are told we are being put in a 2019 loaner vehicle because there's a recall on our NEW TRUCK and we won't be able to get until Tuesday 6 days later. Monday we Get a phone call that we needed to come back to sign the agreement so the truck can be released. So we drive over there sign the papers and they tell us the truck will be ready for he following day. "And mind you there playing all nice while knowing that there's a recall" The next day I decided to drive to ford and I'm being told that unfortunately the truck that I just purchased can't be released because there's a recall and they don't know when the problem will be fixed. Jesus the sales manager tells me that they received the recall around 5pm Thursday and mind you WE WERE THERE THURSDAY!!!! He says that they sold many explores over the weekend and we're not the only ones going home with no vehicle. My biggest issue is why would you sell a vehicle knowing the client take home. My husband and I decide to VOID THE CONTRACT and they tell me that my 2018 Nissan is no longer in their lot and is on its way to be auctioned off!!!! But that they will have it here the next day! I get on the phone with ford and then tell me that it definitely sounds sketchy and that they most likely have my car hidden somewhere. They advised me to look for it because it sounds like they don't want to loose the deal and might be waiting on that recall. We call Tracy, Manteca, Elk Grove & Fremont ford and ask about the recall and all 4 said that's there's decía recall but they don't understand why we couldn't take the car home and once they figured our what was going on they would give us a call. I have brought my vehicle in due to a miss fire since March 5 2025. They had my car for 5 months and still haven't fix the problem, then had the audacity to charge me 2500 dollar!! Just so they can leave my car sitting out on the sun collecting dust. Outrageous, Greg is a horrible service advisor leading me on, we need to change this, change that. I got tried of it and request my car back. When I picked up my car they wash my car carless i was upset and disappointed they felt swirls and scratches and mind you I have applied ceramic coating on the vehicle! Then I realized the engine bay had multiple connectors disconnected and also noticed one of the coil was not secure properly causing more misfires. I contact Greg about it and instead of " sorry to hear that we will check it out . Greg started to complain that it came like that and or that wasn't us?? Unbelievable then the employee/ sales and the parts reps there started to judge me. Clearly these people are ghetto and unfit to do their jobs. I should had never brought my car here they have left it worse and now I have to find someone else to fix the mess they left and STILL FIGURE OUT THE MISFIRE. I scheduled an appointment online for two recalls on my 2013 Ford Escape. I printed out the appointment info which included the service contact (Flavio) and the date and time of the appointment - Jan. 27th, 9:00 A.M. After arriving this morning at 8:45, the service department couldn't find the appointment on their computer. They told me they could try to work me in sometime during the day. I told them to schedule a new appointment, which one of the girls did. There was no apology or comment on why their computer couldn't find the appointment, like "I'll try to find out what happened" or "This is pretty common" or "Wow! I've never seen that before." It was just a ho-hum, take it or leave it non-response. Moral of the story: If you make an appointment online, call and make sure they have it in their system! My return appointment is in a few weeks. I'll give a good review if they do a good job. read more

Brought our car here for warranty service for a coolant leak, rear differential leak, and one TV monitor that comes on and doesn't shut off.. paid deductible of 100 each problem for diagnosis and repair.. they claim to repair both coolant leak and differential leak. But yet it's still leaks, both coolant and rear diff oil. The monitor screen cable has been on order for over a month. And it is promised that it will be here at the end of Friday for the past month. read more

I purchased my car in Richmond, CA but I live here in Stockton, so it's better for me to have it serviced here. My first scheduled service was free, and that was very nice! The only problem is they don't have a big waiting room, so since we are in a health crisis some customers have no other choice but to stand up. Criminals... don't think this is even legal. Went in for a oil change. Which should of been free since we purchased a maintenance package from ford. However I was told that the maintenance package only covers $55 of the service. I asked them how much an oil change would cost. The service counter guy told me $80-$85 for an oil change. I told them go ahead and do the oil change and I'll cover the rest. Once the oil change was finished I was charged $70.11 on top of the $55 that the plan cover. I ask the guy this doesn't make sense " the math isn't mathing". I believe I owe around $30 he then said no I owe $70.11 since I have the service plan the price for an oil change is around $120. I told them I wasn't aware of this and should have been told this up front and why is my price more than any other person that walks in for a oil change. The service guy told me he's going to talk to his supervisor and see what they can do for me. 30 minutes later he comes back and told me there is nothing they can do. It's best not to purchase the service plan and just pay regular maintenance since the plan wouldn't save anything. I was already running late since the oil change (had an appointment for the oil change) took 2 hours and 1 hour trying to sort this issue out. I just paid the $70.11 and left. Since I took my car there for a coolant/transmission fluid change in September, both of those systems in my car have now failed. The transmission leaked all of its fluid and paid them $3500 to replace it. When I picked the car up it was overheating so I took it back and wanted me to pay $450 more to fix it. I declined and they still want me to pay $150 to pick it up. What a joke. Never going to a dealer again. The same day I took my car back to get it checked the two other people in the lobby were there for failing transmissions as well. It must be how they stay in business. read more

I had the worst experience here at the Stockton big valley Ford Flavio was absolutely terrible I brought my car in for recall services and they kept it for a week after telling me originally it would only be gone for 2 weeks Flavio was extremely rude and never called to give me an update about my car he never offered me any rental after my car was serviced for 6. Weeks. The day I received my car it was extremely dirty and the battery didn't work! Instead of telling me the battery was low or charging it they told me it was fine and I drive off and the lot and 2 minutes later my car is stuck on the side of the road this place does extremely bad business and treat their customers terribly! read more

To be clear up front, I have only worked with their service and parts departments. I used to be in their service department it seemed on a semi regular basis until the warranty expired on my truck. Until recently it had been a number of years since I had any interaction with them. In the past, they're reliability was in my opinion? It seemed like sometimes they used a hunting pack method for diagnosing problems. The last time I went to them for warranty work I knew exactly what was wrong with the truck and told them. They dismissed me and claimed to have fixed the problem which was not the case. After the warranty expired, I did the work myself and it turned out I was right and the problem was fixed. A few weeks ago I needed some diagnostic work done that was beyond what my equipment was capable of and I tried to bring my truck in. Apparently they no longer have a certified diesel technician in their regular service department and told me they could not work on my truck. They said I needed to take it to their fleet service department. I left several messages for the fleet services without getting a call back. I finally got someone to answer the phone and they would not work on my 7.3 PowerStroke because apparently it was too old for them. I ended up taking it to a Mom and Pop shop that had the diagnostic equipment to confirm my suspicions. The service writer at the other shop told me that a lot of the dealerships will not deal with vehicles older than 10 years because they have plenty of work to keep them busy with warranty claims. Disappointed is an understatement. Typically "car salesman" have this stereotype..... and in this day in age we would like to believe family owned dealerships such as Ford Lincoln in Stockton is different and emoloyee car salesman with integrity. Sadly its not. I was in need of a car and chose to revisit Ford. Salesperson Angelo was slow to unresponsive to almost all communications. Him along with supervisor Geoff pulled all the fancy lingo and pressure to buy a car...even picked me up from my home at 8pm because "they" had only a deal for tonite!! Made promises for new car matts and seat covers....But, all is well until you sign the dotted line. Here I am almost 6 months later...getting the run around and every excuse in the book for the car seat covers that were promised when I purchased the car. So frustrating...nothing worse than feeling like a chump or lied too! Really this is Family Ford business...and how you treat your customers. False promises...no follow ups and responses. There car seat covers!!! I found 2 sites that make them, I gave you the order requests...why cant you fulfill your promise? My advice to any future customer to Ford Lincoln Stockton...dont go...and if you do, make sure that you have everything written down and signed off before purchasing the car... ! read more

On Tuesday July 2nd 2024, we took my fiance's mustang into Big Valley Ford for an oil change,tire rotation,brake inspection,etc. because we were heading out of town and we wanted to make sure her cars fluids were topped off & new oil. She paid for her oil change and an additional $35 for "the works" which includes tire rotation,brake inspection amongst other services. One hour after leaving FORD, while diving to Santa Cruz my fiance stated that she was pressing the brake to the floor and nothing was happening,at that exact moment we were approaching a curve so I slowly engaged the emergency brake to slow the vehicle down. Honestly we could've died, but we were ok. We carefully drove the car to a local wheel works mechanic, who took a look at Ford's paperwork/inspection report. He noticed that several of the services that Ford claimed to perform and "passed" were not in fact executed. They did not rotate the tires, they did not perform a brake inspection, they did not top off the fluids in her car and we were pissed! We immediately called Big Valley Ford to notify them of what happened. We asked for the quicklane manager, but we were transferred to DJ Adams,the service advisor that was on the paperwork. We informed him of what took place and told him of the findings of the wheel works mechanic. When the mechanic checked for brake fluid the reservoir was as dry as hell. No brake fluid had been added,no wiper fluid, nothing!!!! Keep in mind ,We paid an Extra $35 to have these things done. Not to mention,their negligence almost cost my fiance and I our lives. While on the phone with DJ, we informed him that we would be out of town until Friday and will bring the vehicle back to them on Friday. We parked the car at our hotel and didn't drive the car the remainder of our vacation, until it was time to return home. So Friday comes and we're heading home, the brakes are grinding, we're terrified but we had to get the vehicle back to BV FORD. Once we reached BV Ford, I simply asked DJ "So what happened"?..bc he explained on Tuesday that they would investigate cameras,etc. DJ lookrd me right in the eyes and stated that they simply just didn't perform a brake inspection. Explaining that they don't always inspect every car thoroughly for $35 smh. I swear to God, I wanted to hit him! But calmly,I explained that their negligence almost cost me my life and he was again apologetic. I showed him the paperwork where they claimed to have performed the work and even "passed" her inspections,just to show him how they were falsified and again he apologized. As if he already knew that this is normal practice as a company. He didn't know that I was recording the whole conversation and continued to tell me everything I need to file a Consumer Fraud Lawsuit and file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau for Fraud as well. They knowingly charged us the $35 and deliberately did not perform the work. Then admitted to not performing the work bc it was at their discretion. What the f***?!!! I made him explain why they didn't rotate the tires, that excuses wasn't valid,and he lied saying "oh we didn't rotate the tires bc we didn't want to put the new tire on the front of the car"..only problem is,that tire was already on the front drivers side,so another lie missed it's mark. I showed him the paperwork again, showing that the tire rotation not being performed was the 1st discrepancy. Then he explained that without rotating the tires,they can't perform a thorough brake inspection,only a visual inspection. The only problem is, we paid $35 extra for "the works", which includes an actual BRAKE INSPECTION!!! I left the car at the dealership awaiting some news on the situation. A short while later, we get a text/introduction from the service dept manager. Immediately he shifts the blame of this whole incident on a "freak accident" not knowing that DJ was already honest about the situation. As manager was trying to offer an explanation,I simply stop him and say "DJ already said that the brake inspection wasn't performed",manager fumbled thru his words and said"I don't know why he would say that", I replied.."because he's honest". This man then tries to convince me that a caliper nut was over torqued(how would you know?) and it broke off causing the brake fluid to leak out completely. After the meeting, the manager agreed to drop the price of fixing her car from $1200 to around $500, only bc we filed a complaint with the BBB. This whole situation was eye opening, 2stars only bc he dropped the repair price. Even though they were at fault. read more
