I attended Big Valley Grace for several years and was baptized here in March 2024. The very next day my mother passed away, and the church became a place I leaned on for healing. On Sept 7, 2025, I arrived early at the Ceres campus to help set up for service. Later that month, on Sept 21, I was told by campus leadership that I was being asked not to attend further and could face trespass if I returned, even though I had not caused any disruption or misconduct. I asked for an impartial review of this decision but have not received one. It has been discouraging after years of faithful attendance and connection to this church. My hope is that leadership will prioritize fairness and transparency when making decisions that affect members' ability to worship in community. No church member should ever fear trespass for showing up to worship. read more

My mom and I attend this church with my little brother for the Tuesday night recovery thing. The people were not friendly at all. I felt very judged. No joke people were looking me up and down as if I was an alien and the small group leaders for the high school group never said hi they just stared at me. Everyone was so cliquey and weird. The only normal person was Bob, I don't know his last name but he taught the main message for the high schoolers and it was very interesting, I will be going back just for his teaching but oh my goodness guys this church is the most unwelcoming church I have ever been to. I used to attend and in a wheelchair. I was involved in deaf group and in choir. But after a couple years was told by 2 different pastor heads that I was no longer welcomed unless I provided my medical records! And I brought a witness with me to that meeting, who could barely believe what they demanded of me too! I was both very upset and frustrated as well as left in tears! I will never, ever return! Nor do I have any respect for those who believe the pastors did anything wrong, and both pastors are still there in leadership roles! read more

An organized, friendly, positive atmosphere. The way a church should be. It all starts at the top. When it's ran well, the guests and members can see and feel that! I received a lot of encouragement, support and good teaching here. I like that there is a church government where one man doesn't hold all the power and is accountable to his peers. The people seem real and not posers...playing at Church and acting above others. This is why I rate them highly. I grabbed a tattooed fellow once from the foyer who looked straight out of prison and said, "Hi! Are you a Christian?" He said, "I'm in church, aren't I?" I told him that don't mean nothing...Are you a Christian??? He said YES. I pulled him by the arm and showed him a strung out addict sitting in the patio and he went to that man and encouraged him. Sermon is very basic. Doesn't make me think deep into God's word. Pastor seems to be more of a joker than a person who took God's word serious. Very animated speaker. Basic points in sermon. Too big. Lost in the congregation. Wasn't greeted. Congregation has older group. No diverse. Financial institution. Focus is far from truth of God's word. Sorry but this church isn't for me. I love this church. It's a lil further from my house an since I get off work AT 2am I can't always make it. My experiences here have always been very great an welcoming. The pastor really knows what he's talking about too. He's a very humble guy which I. Dig. Cuz I been to some places an they really just seem into themselves being praised. The place is alot bigger than I thought it would be. You gotta be real lucky to get a seat. Luckily this older woman named Margaret invited me over to her seat as if it were reserved for me. We've been here for 10+ years. We came when our kids were little because they had a great children's ministry. With recent changes this has only gotten better since our kids were young. The services offer a variety between traditional (early service) and several contemporary options on Sat. Night and Late Sun. a.m. As well as in the Venue. I'm so thankful I found out about this church! The members of the church are all very welcoming, friendly and humble. Going to big valley made me find God and changed my life forever and I could not be happier. The pastor preaches the bible in a way that's interesting, very easy to understand, entertaining, and even funny sometimes. There are fill in the blank sentences in every program that you can fill out as the preacher is giving the sermon, which is awesome. The band plays such inspiring music and they sound great. wow! this church's football organization is the worst! My observation is if you are hispanic or black DO NOT ENROLL your child in this group! you are asked to volunteer at every game yet when you do you are criticized on how you do it!! In fact I noticed being reprimanded for the silliest of things is the norm! read more

7 years of fellow ship and had car keyed while people in leadership participated in the vadalism. Lead of mens division and anger management were overseeing the vandalism. Pulled van up infront of cameras so criminal act could take place. All as a result of small disagreement that could of been resolved. Disgraceful. I LOVE this church and love Pastor Rick Countryman! He is REAL! He knows the bible and definitely is anointed by God. He speaks so clearly and makes you want to come back for more. Now the actual church is beautiful and everyone is so friendly and helpful. We have been attending for about the last 5 years and we sit in the upstairs balcony. The ushers are super friendly and makes me feel welcomed. Especially when he tells us he saved us a spot next to our family that also attends there. How does he remember us when there are 100s of people??? AMAZING!! Childrens ministry is wonderful! My children come out with smiles every time and are eager to tell me what they learned. I highly recommend this church if you are seeking for a home church. If you can't make it to service you can watch it online live! So awesome! read more

I have attended special events at Big Valley Grace Community Church and I have been very blessed! I have experienced the kindness and gentle love of Jesus at each event and been encouraged to grow deeper in my relationship with Jesus. I've never been to their Saturday or Sunday services (as I attend another church in town) but have many friends who do and they love it! read more

I am a retired woman and was advised by someone who attends this church that they have a "ministry" to help people move, if help is needed. I decided to check on this and called the week prior and was advised to speak to "Tara," and transferred to her line; left a VM msg. No return call was received. Fast forward the following week, called and was again connected to her VM, and a day or two later received a call from "Jason," who advised that he is a pastor at the church. I explained the referral and that I had just a few items of furniture to move from one apt to another in the same complex and was willing to pay for the help. To my shock, he stated that the "ministry" is for "members of the church only," and elaborated that it was for those who came to their church, and that it didn't include Christians from other churches in the area where the moving ministry is not available. After I asked some questions and discussed some Biblical theology with the young man, not for my sake, but for the interpretation of "the body of Christ," I relayed my dismay of that "doctrine," and a well documented opinion that many churches today appear to be rapidly going apostate in their somewhat humanist doctrines. He shocked me even further by stating that he didn't agree that they should even have that "ministry," and that they should focus on evangelism!!! Seriously?? What is his interpretation of evangelism? He reminded me of the members of the Sanhedrin during Jesus' time, where they were all for show. That's why he referred to them as hypocrites. Evangelism encompasses much more than he has obviously been taught, and is different that what Jesus taught. Then it appears, according to more than one review, that the pastor is somewhat a comedian, a joker, who doesn't teach much from the Bible, according to a YELP review I read. Far too many churches are NOT teaching from the Bible, but rather from their humanist, "feel good" personal perspective. If you find those evaluations to be true, RUN, DON'T WALK!! Find a church that really teaches the WORD OF THE LIVING GOD from the BIBLE. I'm not ordained, but I am certainly NOT a new Christian and something is very, very wrong with this "church." read more
