This was my second visit to Bijoux. I'm honestly blown away that more locals don't talk about this place. It is outstanding in every way. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very elegant. The wait staff are friendly and very attentive. All that's well and good, but the food and drinks are what really make Bijoux amazing. The drinks are creative and delicious. I had a rum Old Fashioned, this was blasphemy at first but after trying it, I'm a convert. The blackberry margarita was an unexpected twist, it was more like a blackberry fizz, but so good and refreshing. For starters, we had the crab beignets and duck confit. It would be very hard to say which was better. The beignets were served with a green apple slaw, that just made the crab stand out. So delicious! The duck confit was some of the best I've had. Words just won't do it justice, you must try it! The Entrees didn't disappoint either. I had the shrimp and grits and my date had the cob is special. The portions were large and very flavorful. Their take on shrimp and grits was elevated and unique. The cobia was served with 4 royal red shrimp on top and a beurre blanc. I live in Birmingham, where we have award winning restaurants and I'd put Bijoux right there with some of our best. Easily my favorite place in the Destin/Ft Walton area. read more

My husband and live in the area and we like eating here at least once a month. Sometimes we eat at a table in the restaurant and sometimes we eat at the bar. They have a main chef and a couple helper chefs, if the main chef goes home, food is not so good, so ask. other than that, their menu & the drinks are consistently good and the taste & preparation of the food is good, so long as the main chef is there. Oh and don't show up there to eat 45 minutes or less before closing time, because they're not gonna like it a whole lot and they will show it in their service. read more

We picked this place to celebrate my in-laws 30th wedding anniversary. We made reservations for 13. Our table was set and ready for us upon arrival. We were seated right away. Our server, "D" check in with us right away to take our beverage order. We were also greeted by runners with bread and oil/vinegar. Unfortunately one of the dipping sauce brought to us had a fly in it.... ugh. D took the plate away and quickly brought out a new plate apologized. He went over the 2 specials. We ordered every appetizer on the menu for starters. The fries tomatoes were a hit with the kids, I loved the calamari. For the main dish, many of us ordered the red snapper which was one of the nights specials. The 3 loved every bite. I had the fillet which was cooked to perfection. It was served with roasted veggies. The lamb chops were great and presented nicely. The dessert is a must here. We tried the blood orange cheese cake that was delicious. My sister in law had the bread pudding that I ate 1/2 of. Yum!! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious each dish was. The service as excellent as well. If it wasn't for the fly, the dinning experience would have been near perfect. I would recommend dinning here. It is a little more up scaled especially for a beach town. read more

This place was excellent once again. We eat here when we come to town yearly on vacation. I do have one critique. We had the crab beignets which were good, but they only give you 3. They are really small for $18. So if you have a date night you both do not get equal amounts. Would be nice if they served at least 4 that way it would be a better value for the price. We have been vacationing in the area for years, and we consider Bijoux our greatest 'find' two years ago. On our most recent trip we made two return visits, we love it here so much. Coming from Blue Mountain beach to Bijoux is lovely because we don't have to fight the hustle and traffic of downtown Destin. The chef *always* has something wonderful on special, and the regular menu features some lovely treats like crab "beignets" - these are better than any beignets I've had anywhere - light and airy and full of crab. My girlfriend is partial to the pork belly app, and the fried oyster spinach salad is the best I've had in Florida. The king salmon is divine and also the shrimp and grits, but like I said before, definitely go for the specials, you won't be disappointed. We hope Bijoux continues to be successful so we can continue visiting in the future! read more

Service was stuffy at first but that might be because we were the youngest in the place being in ours 30s Food was SO GOOD! I got the filet and veggies for the table- DROOL worthy! If I could rate this restaurant a zero I would. Made reservations a month ago for Easter. Specifically asked if they were having a special menu and if there were any vegan options available. The hostess I spoke with on the phone said they were definitely going to have a special brunch menu along with their regular dinner menu and the chef would accommodate the vegan in our party. We were seated promptly by the hostess but waited a good 15 minutes before our waitress approached our table with the menu. To my surprise, there was nothing special on it and to make matters worse it was the normal brunch menu which they serve every day. When we were ready to order, I explained to the waitress that I had called a month ago and informed her what the hostess had told me and asked her if the chef would accommodate a vegan. She rudely replied that they couldn't and walked away abruptly . When she came back I asked her about the catch of the day and asked her how it was prepared. She had no response and looked like she did not hear me. I decided to go with the fresh catch anyway but had one simple request, which was to just grill the flounder. To sum this review up, my flounder arrived heavily breaded and over cooked with absolutely no flavor. My husband ordered a burger which was decent and my daughter who is a vegan ordered the avocado toast which was bland. I asked for bread and received one small cold store bought bun. When I inquired if we could have more for the table, the bus boy replied "no problem", but returned to the table informing us the chef said that was all we could have. This is only the second bad review I have ever written but felt the need to warn people what a horrible experience we had. The food was below par for a nice restaurant, Bloody Mary's were weak with no flavor and the waitress was rude and not very knowledgeable regarding food items on the menu. Also, their website clearly indicates vegan options which clearly that was not the case in our situation except for the bland avocado toast. read more

We decided to dine here on a trip to Destin, and we are so glad we did! My husband is someone who doesn't have any favorite things. He likes everything, but nothing ever so much he says it is my favorite. That all changed when he ate a steak from here. He got the "Black Skillet" Filet Mignon and you should have seen his face when he ate the first bite. It was like he died and went to heaven. This was the best steak he has ever eaten in his life. He said it was like bacon on the outside and tender filet on the inside. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The service was also spectacular. This was an excellent date night and we will definitely be dining here every trip to Destin. We may actually make special trips just to eat here again. read more

We were able to come in to the bar area as walk-ins but I would suggest making a reservation. The drinks were yummy and refreshing and the blackened brie appetizer was amazing! I also enjoyed the filet mignon very much, possibly one of the best steaks I've ever had due to the flavor and the char. We found this place on google after searching for fine dining in Destin. It's a bit out of the way and hidden behind a shopping center and not incredibly posh looking but it was delicious. The peach salad was divine and not too sweet. The cheese on that salad melted in my mouth and the pine nuts were a perfect compliment. I had the entree special - a local fish with bourbon mashed sweet potato and brussel sprouts. The sides were ridiculously good, but I found the local fish a bit oily. It was prepared perfectly though. My fiancé ordered the tuna and thought it was a bit sweet, but well done. The desserts were OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I ordered a bourbon and pecan bread pudding with apple and currants that I would have over and over again if I was a local. He ordered a profiterole with coffee ice cream. Both so yummy! read more

Grapes were outstanding Brie and toast points too salty. It was good food. Not great but good. But the service was five star. Full water glass the entire time. This restaurant was a gem. It is in a quiet area and the deck overlooks a lovely lawn. The food was AMAZING! The lobster spring roll and the chef special res snapper were really good. Their dessert menu is also great. Service was also very nice. They also take reservations which is a big plus in Destin. We absolutely loved our experience! Food, service and atmosphere... I had the yummiest cocktail to start! Can't recall what its called but its jalapeño infused Tito's with watermelon juice and lime! I don't like sweet drinks so I asked that they leave out the simple syrup. My perfect drink!! We shared the most delicious salad I've had in so long that at the moment I was eating it I couldn't recall any salad ever being better - it was their Chop salad - very different than any I'd had before for sure. We love Bijoux and have been going for years to dine. Owners Chef Jack and his lovely wife Leslie have truly created the best of the best! The menu is perfect, something for everyone and if it's not on the menu, ask for it, you may be surprised. They also have storage wine lockers you can rent annually and keep your favorites on hand for when you visit. Or scroll through their complete wine list to compliment the perfect dish! My husband and I go to Destin every April and we always try to find a new place for date night. This year I'm so glad we ended up at Bijoux. I was able to make a reservation on open table the week of. As soon as we arrived we were seated immediately. Service was great. For appetizers, the lobster spring rolls sounded a bit strange but they were delicious. I ordered the scallops for my main dish and it was slightly overdone. My husband loved the duck entree he got. High end dining for a special occasion or just an elegant date night. Made a reservation and showed up 15 minute early. Our table was already waiting for us and we were immediately taken back to it. They were extremely accommodating in regards to my service animal. They did not make us feel as though he was not welcome or an inconvenience. Asked for a recommendation on a good Cabernet. A gentleman came over and got an idea of what we preferred flavor wise, provided us with a couple of wines to taste to really get a feel for our preferences, then selected a bottle for us based on a price point we indicated we were comfortable with. He beautifully presented a 2015 Ghost Block. It was absolutely perfect and paired perfectly with both our appetizers and entrees. We started our meal off with the duck confit and blacked brie. I am gluten free so instead of bread they brought sliced green apples to accompany the Brie. I ordered the filet mignon and my significant other selected the 20oz cowboy steak. Wife, son, and I went here to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary while on vacation. Started with champagne, with exquisite service by Elena. I started with the fired green tomatoes with lump crabmeat, and my wife had the lobster beignets. At the first bite, we both knew we were in for a treat! My son had the kid's steak, which was a 4oz tenderloin prepared the same way as the adult servings. I would put that kid's steak against the best choices from almost any steak house in Chicago or New York. My son usually needs to be coerced into finishing his veggies, but my wife and I were quite surprised to see only the tiny remains of the generous serving of broccolini on his plate! My main was the grouper almandine, and wife had the shrimp and grits. We usually share our dishes, and both were so sublime we had trouble determining which one we liked better. The grouper was perfectly prepared with a crispy outer and a buttery melt in your mouth inner. We finished with a beautifully decorated chocolate cake for our anniversary, shared by my wife and son, as I wanted to try the pineapple cobbler. We live in a farm to table town with great choices, but Bijoux made are vacation away super special. read more

There's many items on the menu that I wanted to try but I had to pick one, so I chose the steak and mashed potatoes.
