UPDATED September 18th 2025 - Never got offered a loaner. Yes, I asked. Truck is finished. Turns out Ford finally did the right thing and issued a general recall on the AC for those trucks that came out of the Kentucky plant that are failing left and right. Mine would have been covered under warranty anyway, but the service writer said there was an actual recall on it. I'll look it up of course. GRUDGINGLY - I am updating the service department to 4 stars. Grudgingly. I got my truck fixed a couple days faster than I expected (was without it almost two weeks), but I DID NOT get the same service as other Ford customers. The dealership over all is still at best a 3. The tires looked extra black when they brought it out to me. I thought, "Cool they washed it." NO THEY DID NOT. For some reason they oiled the sides of my tires. Hours later they looked the same, and when I brushed my hand over it I drew back with an oil residue on my fingers. Like I said I only upgraded them grudgingly. UPDATED Sept 10th 2025 - No news. No loaner. No star. UPDATED September 9th 2025 - I'm not ready to give them back a star just yet, but I feel a little better today after finally speaking with the service writer. This is one of the trucks that came out of the Kentuckey truck plant with a bad AC compressor. They are replacing it. They also said, they are going to try to get me a loaner vehicle by tomorrow. I did have a conversation with Ford at a higher level just trying to ask when I would hear something about my truck. I expect they may have got some word of that. I won't read to much into it, but my AC compressor and a lot of other AC parts will get replaced under warranty. BACKGROUND: I just had the first oil change (3500 miles elsewhere) last week, but the first recommended dealer service at 10,000 miles isn't due yet. The air conditioning is failing. It just stops periodically. It's gotten worse over the last week, and I tested it today in my driveway. After 20 minutes in the driveway it never started blowing cold air, so I headed for the dealership. Of course on the way to the dealership it started working again. I stood there at the counter for a few minutes with no other customers waiting while four (4) service writers did other things. One was on the phone, 2 ignored me, and finally a 3rd asked if he could help. He listened and asked me to leave the truck, so maybe he believed me. Maybe they won't just start it up feel cold air, and call me to come get my truck claiming there is nothing wrong with it. I expected a loaner. None available. I was surprised because everybody I've spoken with who dropped off a warranty repair truck there said they got a loaner. I guess my surprise showed because the service writer stopped whatever he started to stay and started telling me how they haven't had any loaners available for a week. If that's true it should tell you how many Fords trucks are in for warranty repairs. So far nothing that would make me downgrade my opinion of the dealership, but nothing to make me upgrade it either. I'm open to being pleasantly surprised, but I left kinda wishing I'd taken a day off and driven to Buckeye or Phoenix with or without air conditioning. We shall see how it goes. I'll be honest. If they fix the problem without petty (or major) issues I'll upgrade them a star, but I don't think I can upgrade them two stars as things are. read more

General manager calls me a liar :( Today I blew a tire on the freeway today and under my ford warranty had towing included, I called them and had a tow dispatched. It took about an hour to get me, I was 15 miles away. Not too bad. On the way, I called again and asked if they had my size tire in stock for when I arrived. They checked, and they did. When I arrived, they told me they wouldn't be able to get me in today. I was super surprised because they agreed to have me towed in for this and I had also double confirmed and spoken with their service team about the tire. They said who did you talk to? I didn't ask the name when I had called, so I had no clue. Was I supposed to ask? They said well we don't know who told you they could get you in so we can't get you in. I am from San Diego so I for sure needed it done. They obliged and gave me a 2 hour time frame. I reluctantly agreed as that's all I could do. When I got my keys back I saw my steering wheel cover was torn on the left side. I immediately asked to speak to someone about it. They took my number and called me back about an hour later. The general manager said I was lying and was trying to pull a fast one. He said "you know damn good and well we didn't do this." I was utterly shocked!!! I said "I'm surprised you're calling me a liar but I mean it was not like this before. And I just wanted to bring it to your attention." The convo ended with him agreeing to give me a new cover even though he knew I was trying to pull a fast one on him. Beware and be aware this service department is horrible and they DO NOT CARE! They will lie to your face while they are taking your money. Check labor they tell you they performed. If they will lie about changing your wipers or can't clean excess oil after a change, leaving you to clean it off driveway, you have to wonder about serious issues. My husband purchased a car from Alexander Ford in June while on a business assignment. He purchased an extended warranty. One month after purchasing the car, it started having problem after problem. His job sent him to TX the first week of July. While trying to get the car repaired in TX, he was denied service. They told him they have no record of the warranty in the system! I called Alexander Ford to have them enter it in the system. I was told I would be called back but was not until today (several days later). The car will not start, the key fob will not work, even after putting a new battery in, and he is not in his home state due to his job, so pretty much stranded and relying on strangers for help. I am do disappointed with this dealership. Buyer beware. They give good customer service while reeling you into the deal but once you buy the LEMON, you are on your own. We had the pickup a week when we were called by the finance department that they made a mistake and needed $10K more money down. I dont like to give bad reviews not the person i am, shit happens but when its more than once it becomes a problem. I brought my car brand new from Palm Springs, California and when i took my car for service they checked the whole car, there was a time i took it to service and they check the battery to make sure the voltage was ok and since i was losing voltage somewhere they gave me a brand new battery. I moved to Yuma in September and took my car in for service at Alexander ford. The staff in the front was very nice and helpful. My first service was ok but i had a crack in my coolant reservoir which they wanted to charge me to fix but they didn't check to see if it was covered, didn't fix it there because i did it myself for less than they wanted to charge me for 10 minute swap. My car is financed through Ford and I'm sure they want to protect their investment by making sure there is a great preventative maintenance services in the dealerships. At 60k miles my warranty ran out but i took it in for the last service and i think only the fluids were checked and oil change done a quick walk around to tell me i need new tires and i left after it was finished. About a month after the warranty ran out my car started to stall if i was at idle. i didn't know what it was but i read about a recall on the engine stalling, i took it in and the computer was reprogrammed. that didn't fix the problem so i decided to check the air filter to see if it was clogged blocking air getting to the engine and omg the filter was caked with dirt so i replaced it. This is preventative maintenance not done. The engine still stalled when i was at idle and sometimes moving, i stalled in the middle of in intersection in mexico and those who know about driving in mexico know i almost pooped my pants. i didn't have a obd so i brought one since the check engine light was intermittent i wanted to catch it while it was on and i finally got the code p0087 low pressure rail system. Instantly thinking $$$ i have to dump into this car again. i read up on the code and the fixes cheapest fix being the fuel filter which sounds legit being the check engine light was intermittent so it it was clogged not any more. I brought a fuel filter for a 2016 ford focus but the fuel filter was were it was suppose to be, on the SE the filters are part of the fuel pump inside my gas tank and the filters cant be brought individually i have to buy the whole fuel pump, once again 60k miles, live in the hot desert, preventative maintenance not done. I had other issues but i was able to speak to them and fix the problem, but like i said the staff is very nice but my question is are the mechanics good enough to work in the dealership? who torques the plug for the oil pan? wrench tight and who makes the filter so tight that i had to put a screwdriver through the filter to get it off ( i didn't have a filter wrench) read more

Not happy with their Quck Lane service today. Arrived at 8:00am for a Diesel Works oil change, tire rotation, coolant test (not flush, just a test -- takes about a minute) and wash. Waited 3 hours for that to be done. When paying the bill, I had to ask for the coolant test result as it was not on the paperwork. They said I need a cooling system flush. If that was the case, why did I have to ask? Makes me wonder if I really need it or if they are just saying that to get another $160. They did rotate the tires, but did not check the air pressures. F350's run different pressures in the front and back. They were doing trucks the whole time I was there so they should know that. And I was missing one tire stem cap which they didn't replace. On a positive note, the oil change was reasonably priced and the car wash was good. read more
