I honestly hope so. Belles describe their menu as Asian-inspired American style food and at first I scratched my head a little, but now that I've been there, I can't disagree. The cauliflower nuggets came with a satay dipping sauce, for heck's sake! And it was perfect! I'm normally all for a burger but I couldn't help myself from ordering two snack plates as my main, because those two snack plates were already-mentioned cauli nugs and chipotle mac and cheese, perhaps my Achilles heel of menu items... I also got a spritz to drink made with Okar, which is Aussie distillery Applewood's take on Campari. So good, so good. The dining spaces are airy and lovely, some booths, some stools, and an open kitchen. The back of the restaurant looks out over Bellerive boardwalk and really the only thing missing here is outside dining on the boardwalk side, because summery days shoving Belles burgers in your faces on the boardwalk would be DIVINE. My favourites in the lunch menu are the crispy skin duck, scallops, and fish (usually Blue Eye Trevalla) and chips. everything is fresh and served with either seasonal vegetables or really fresh salad. And I mean fresh salad. There is nothing worse than going into a restaurant where the side salad is limp as if it's been sitting around in the fridge waiting for plating. I understand their speciality is breakfast which we haven't tried. But importantly they have great coffee too! Worth a visit.

Its pizza takeaway business is going gangbusters but its sit-down menu is also busy with an extensive choice for food and beverages. We had a delightful meal of a small shared pizza for entree and two entree-sized mains, Mine was a marinara in a white wine sauce, and my partner's a Bolognese Fettucine. We complemented the meal with a glass each of chianti. We finished with a couple of scoops each of gelato, strawberry and vanilla, and strawberry and banana. Delicious food, fabulous service and incredibly friendly and efficient staff. A must for anyone who wants delicious food, service by friendly staff. The vibe in the restaurant is also fantastic. Lots of happy people (some larger tables) who were enjoying their meals as we did. We will be back. Often.
