It was great staying in the inn. The bus took us to most of the activities on the property. Breakfast was outstanding. We did the buffet each morning. Some of the items were the same each morning, but they had new items, too. Unfortunately, we were not able to partake in dinner ate the restaurant. It is formal, which we were prepared for, but you need to make reservations in advance of getting there. Other restraunts on property work better with reservations in advance. Contact the Inn in advance to make reservations for outdoor activities and restaurants. Christmas was special here. The tour of the Biltmore house at Christmas was worth the trip. We are already planning a return trip.

Coming to the Biltmore Estate has been 4 years in the making. I really was pleased at the architectural marvel of the place and the grounds. The place is truly beautiful, one floor after another. I am very glad that I decided to stay over and see this huge estate

The gardens are just beautiful. There are complimentary shuttles that run from the Inn at Biltmore and if you are staying at the Inn admission to the gardens is free of charge. The grounds are immense so wear comfy shoes and by gosh don't forget your camera. There is also a food truck on the premises that had the best chicken salad pita and roasted tomato hummus and chips for lunch with reasonable pricing. Also a very nice gardening gift shop too. Great way to spend a day while in Asheville.

I have seen pictures and videos of this Mansion. When you actually go there and see it in all its glory , you are taken back. They were just starting to decorate for the holidays ( Christmas ). I thought the decorations took away from the grandeur of Biltmore. Yea, I know everyone like Christmas decorations. The Conservatory was amazing. The flora and fauna inside was amazing. The Orchids that were blooming were fantastic. The shower succulents that were blooming were psychedelic. I felt energized after visiting this area. The oxygen that the plants give off gave me a boost. The Mansion itself and the tale of its beginning is amazing. Although I would have liked to see more of what Biltmore had to offer, many areas were roped off. I would like to take the secret area tour, concealed stair and walkways, rooms that were hidden. Also the roof top tour looked really cool. As I walked through the rooms on the tour , my jaw dropped so many times in awe. Although I did notice in the bedroom's, the beds....... They were small , I thought they would be bigger. If you have not been to Biltmore yet, make plans to visit. If you enjoy architectural design , art, decor, these are just a few things that will enamore you. Oh yes, then there is the mansion and the grounds. I loved it and I will come back.

Beautiful estate! The audio device self-guided tour gives you all the information you need. I have not done any upgraded tours, but seeing the house every few years is wonderful. The gardens/grounds are fantastic and also dog-friendly! They have many exciting seasonal exhibits, like the new model train exhibit and all the model buildings made entirely from plant material. I recently returned for the falconry experience, and it was unforgettable. I highly recommend signing up for falconry!

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! We arrived to the property and it was about a few miles in. Such a beautiful drive in, with all of the trees and little bridges. It was an absolute dream! They are definitely taking Covid very seriously, they even want you to have your mask on when you were in the line to enter the home. Once you enter the home, you can pick up your audio device, which I highly recommend. Otherwise, you were just walking through the home not even knowing what you were looking at and what the history is behind it. It is definitely worth the couple of dollars. You are allowed to take photos, no video and no flash photography. I actually obeyed that, but I did see others not obeying it. I thought that was sad because that is what is preserving all of the beautiful artifacts in this home. The property has many restaurants on it, quick serve locations for food, a creamery, and lots of shops. You definitely need a whole entire day for this visit. Make it worth your while! We did the rooftop tour which ended up being private for just the two of us. It was amazing! It was so hot but there was a very nice breeze. We got to see all of the hidden gems that you will not get to see on the regular tour. This is definitely a thing to do and have on your bucket list. It is so gorgeous, there are so many gardens that you can walk to and a pond with a bass, it is truly amazing. Now pack your bags and go visit!

Covid; They where very responsible when it comes to Covid-19 and taking responsibility for people wearing masks. They made everyone stay 6f apart, made sure there was not too many people visiting at the same time. I saw workers cleaning constantly and they still managed to make the tour comfortable and enjoyable. Regular; Love this place!! Me and my husband has been here many times and we love it every time. The roof tour is our favorite but the regular audio tour is definitely good as well. Very informative, beautiful architecture and art work. It's a perfect visit for couples or the hole family.

Amazing experience at the Biltmore Estate. The estate is gorgeous. The home, grounds and the village are a must see if you happen to be in the area. I had the fantastic opportunity to take the last Christmas candle light tour of the holiday season and I was enchanted! I'm still conducting my own research online to learn more of the history, after seeing the biggest estate in the U.S. The home had a bowling alley and a lighted swimming pool in the late 1800's! Mindblowing. The multitude of rooms and amenities of the home is amazing for the time. It is hard to see everything during one visit. I cannot wait to return and explore some more. In addition to all of that I mention, the ticket included a wine tasting in their tasting room and the Downton Abbey exhibit, which is a must see. My only wish is that I had another day to spend there exploring!

This historic history museum is so beautiful!! The only downside is that inside the house it is really hot and not air conditioned but you can pretty much plan to spend the whole day here. My friends and I went to the gardens and conservatory first and then did the self-guided tour of the house. There is an option to buy your ticket with the audio tour but we did not. Tip: buy your general admission ticket in advance because time slots can fill up quickly in the summer! We also went to winery after which was 2 miles out and included in the ticket. We could try as much wine as we wanted to. If you want to buy, it is actually pretty reasonably priced (paid $12!). Everything and everywhere is breathtaking and definitely worth a visit one time!

This is a lovely historic home. We visited a month ago and took advantage of their annual pass holder offer and joined for the year. This review is of the garden and conservatory. We came today to see the gardens, which was totally beautiful! The tulips were in bloom and a bunch of azaleas too! It's a nice walk around and we also stopped for a beverage to stroll the garden paths. There is a lovely patio outside the greenhouse where you can get a snack and a mimosa (made with Biltmore sparkling wine) or other alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage. We love the greenhouse/conservatory. The flowers are beautiful but the most amazing part is the orchids! They have beautiful orchids, so many different types. They rotate plants in and out of the greenhouse and even in the cold the conservatory is warm and full of lovely flowers to see.

Since getting engaged here a few years back, Biltmore has become our romantic getaway. Nestled away in the mountains, the estate elegantly lays claim to a patch of land that overseas the river and trees across the horizon. It's a spectacular site to see in the autumn when the leaves change color from emerald green to crimson, amber, and golden hues... The mansion itself is breathtaking. The remarkable craftsmanship that was required to construct the estate is astounding. My favorite room in the entire house is the Winter Garden where you can really appreciate the woodwork in the ceiling beams, the large iron-casted hanging light fixtures, and the beautiful greenery that completes the room. We've stayed at both the Inn and at the Village Hotel where service has always been top notch. I love the convenience of the Village Hotel as Antler Hill Village is located right behind it and hosts the majority of the restaurants and shopping boutiques. Be sure to check out their tours as they offer a glimpse into history and fun activities for the family (i.e. Segway Tours, horseback riding, falconry). We can't wait for our next visit!

If you want to feel like you're in Downton Abbey -- but in the United States -- Biltmore Estate is probably the closest you can get. It's impressively grand and opulent, and it puts you in the frame of mind to day dream about the people who once walked its halls, their stories and their lives. I visited Biltmore on a recent trip to Asheville, and a couple of tips right off the bat: * Tickets are expensive, as mentioned in other reviews. But if you go on a weekday, the price goes down about $10 a ticket. * And if you go with a group of 10+, call ahead to get the group rate. This saved us an additional $18 per ticket with a group of 11. We parked and walked a short distance to the home, and it's impressive to come upon. The large green space in the front of the home -- it's not quite right to call it a "yard" -- is perfect for photos. At our designated time we lined up in front of the home and were soon inside. From there you can follow the line through many of the home's rooms. And here is when we get to a complaint: I appreciate that there is a designated time to enter, but even with this, there seemed to be way too many people inside the home, especially at the beginning of the tour. It was hard to get into the first several rooms and see around everyone. You can't really take in the grandness of a dining room when you can only see the top of a chair. After a bit, the crowd thinned out some, but it was definitely a drag. My favorite parts of the home included the veranda, the solarium, the main bedrooms, the large stairwell, the gym, the bowling alley and the pool. Yes, this is all in this estate. That veranda -- I could have stayed out there all day. It overlooks a beautiful North Carolina forest, which, I now know from the tour, was manicured by Frederick Law Olmsted, designer of New York's Central Park as well as several parks in Louisville, Ky. (where I live). Plus when we were there, Biltmore was hosting a special "Titanic" exhibit that featured costumes from the movie in the rooms where the characters would have lived if they had lived at Biltmore -- all the better to visualize what life may have been like at Biltmore. After the tour, which took a good two hours, my group relaxed a bit in the courtyard that boasts a few food options and gift shops. Much like the wait to get through the tour, several of these food shops had long lines (and staff that didn't seem too eager to move folks along). But the gift shops have a nice collection of goods. I ended up buying a few gifts including a coffee mug and table runner. And once you're done with the home, don't forget to tour the gardens. My absolute favorite part of my visit to Biltmore was the conservatory. We weren't sure if it was open when we visited because a wedding was being set up outside of it, but happily it was. And it included room after room of tropical and rare flowers, with an entire room devoted to orchids. With your ticket you also get a free wine tasting at the winery. Unfortunately, the wait for this was going to be 30+ minutes so we didn't get to do that -- further proof to expect lines when you visit Biltmore despite the steep cost of admission. But the winery is still fun to visit. We ended up coming home with several bottles. Biltmore Estate should be your bucket list if you appreciate architecture, history or just one-of-a-kind sites. I would definitely return, perhaps taking one of the other tours, such as the rooftop or upstairs/downstairs tours.

How incredible it was to see how American royalty lived. Built in 1896 for George Washington Vanderbilt. It's back drop the Blue Ridge Mts and sets on 8,000 acres. It currently is the largest privately owned property in the country. Most of the home is accessible by self guided tour. A few cool things I enjoyed the most. The octagonal sunken Winter Garden is lush and stunning. Special events are held here through the holiday. The massive 1,700 pound electric chandelier that hangs above the grand staircase. It's suspended three stories from a single bolt. There are tons of things to do on the grounds from gardens, horseback riding, hiking, 4x4 driving experience, shopping, cafes and a of course Biltmore's Winery which my wife and I toured and is under a separate review. Still to this day owned by one of the Vanderbilt's descendants. It consistently ranks among the top architectural designs ever in the U.S. This national treasure is a must visit in Asheville.

Before coming, I read that the Gingerbread House competition had just ended and that the displays were still up. When we arrived, I didn't realize parking was now paid $30 which was surprising since the first time we visited it was free. Walking up to the hotel is impressive on its own. Seeing how this massive structure was built out of stone so long ago is amazing. Inside, there was a video playing that explained how the hotel was constructed, which was very informative. The roof being made of solid concrete to help make the building waterproof was especially interesting. When you walk through the front doors, the entry is grand and open, with huge fireplaces on both sides. The gingerbread house displays were spread across two floors and were absolutely incredible. It's amazing to see the talent, from young adults to experienced artists. Some of the displays look incredibly realistic. I added photos, and hopefully the video of the grand prize winner shows as well, it's truly impressive. We walked around the rest of the hotel for a while and then stopped for lunch (see my restaurant review). The food was excellent. We hope to return one day and stay here. I booked a one-night stay at the Grand Bohemian on New Year's Eve, using points along with an elite night upgrade award. From the moment you arrive, the hotel is impressive. The drive-up experience feels like you're entering the hotel itself. The valet service was outstanding -- they handled our luggage and belongings with great care and provided clear, helpful instructions on where to go for check-in. Walking through the front doors, you're greeted by a large open fireplace with chairs and couches surrounding it, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The associate at check-in was excellent. She thanked us for being Titanium members, provided water, and clearly explained where our room was located. We took some time to walk around the hotel, especially since it had been closed due to last year's flooding. The restoration work was impressive -- floors and walls had been replaced, and much of the décor had either been cleaned or fully refreshed. The hotel looks amazing. We then went up to our second-floor king suite, and it was exceptional. Straight ahead was a large bathroom, with a deck and minibar to the left. Waiting for us was a board with chocolate-covered strawberries and a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary and my wife a happy birthday -- a very thoughtful touch. The view from our window overlooked the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. While waiting for our luggage to arrive, we turned on the 65" wall-mounted TV and took in the room. When the luggage arrived, it was promptly unloaded, clothes were hung in the closet, and everything was placed neatly -- truly excellent service. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We had a late checkout, so we slept in, went downstairs for breakfast before it ended, then returned to the room for a nap before checking out. Breakfast was very good -- see my separate Yelp review of The Red Stag for details. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you're well taken care of, and everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome. Yes, it's expensive -- but the level of service and attention to detail make it worth it. We will absolutely stay here again, or at one of the other Grand Bohemian hotels.

The bedroom included a king-size bed with a large flat screen TV attached bed; the kiving room included a sofa bed, upolstered chair and another large flat screen TV. The final room was dining area - complete with a dinig table, four dining chairs, two upholsted chairs and a kirchenette with a 2-burner stovee, a frg amd a microwave. The package my wife booked included an afternoon (5-6p) reception with a complimentary glass of wine or beer (addional glasses could be purchased) and a charcuterie board. You could enjoy your wine and charcuterie in their lounge area, on one of their porches (our choice) or back in your room. THe package also included breakfast which was served in the dining room. There was a breakfast "special of the day" or you could order from the menu. ALL of the staff - from the front desk personell to the servers in the dining room - was great. Great southern hospitality - always cheerful. This truly was a 5-STAR experience.

They do have valet for $22 a night and you can go in and out without any extra charge. We were greeted with a glass of champagne upon check in. The room was bigger than I expected! The views form the hotel room were beautiful. We went down to the bar to check out the sunset but since our room was on the 10th floor and the bar was on the 4th floor we made our way back up to watch from there. My main complaint was the lack of water access. We had to go to the gym to fill our water bottles up and the water didn't taste very good. Since it was a Sunday night we wanted to relax and watch TV in bed. We couldn't find a physical copy of the TV guide and struggled with the TV remote to scroll through the guide, so we ended up just clicking through channels. The towels were quite rough. Everything is very walkable from this area.

As a choice hotel member we received a small bag of goodies then off to the room. The room was clean but it seemed there was a lot of wasted space. It seemed that the majority of the furniture was on one side of the room with a lot of just open space to the other side. The shower was also not really powerful. It was just drips but it could have been a better stream like the shower head needed an adjustment. The room had a safe which is a positive. One of the last items was really about that member bag. Seems like if you want to reward your members with a bottle of water. You should give them more than a tiny water bottle. So while there were a few drawbacks it wasn't entirely awful. Just some tweaks needed to be better.

Service was exceptional. The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the understanding & speed at which this situation was handled. My son, who has autism, left his most-valued stuffed animal in the room when we checked out. I called in absolute panic the following day & long story short, they located it & are sending it back to us. The tears of joy that I've shed. Thank you so very much! He would be lost without his best buddy!

Upon check-in, we were welcomed with the Biltmore champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a book about the estate--such thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly celebrated. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable--exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. The only minor downsides were the lack of accessible outlets for charging devices and no easy way to grab ice unless you called the operator or waited for housekeeping. We also noticed that sound traveled a bit--you can hear hallway noise due to the gap under the door. That said, the experience overall was exceptional. There's so much to do on the estate. The highlight for us was the complimentary wine tasting at Antler Hill Village--nearly an hour with 8 tastings per person, which honestly felt like such a great deal. We also rented bikes to explore the property, which was a fun and scenic way to take everything in. While there are several dining options, reservations are definitely needed--probably the only logistical wrinkle during our stay. One thing we really appreciated was the shuttle system around the estate. It made getting to places like the Biltmore House incredibly easy and stress-free.
