The doctor didn't call this person until the following Tuesday to advise. I've called and am still waiting for supervisor to get back to me. Super unprofessional, disappointing. Stay away from triple cities specialists if at all possible.

In the beginning of the week, I was seen by my gastroenterologist in NJ for symptoms of disease progression related to some form of esophageal/gastric carcinoma. Night sweats, throat pain, the inability to swallow liquids, and a throat nodule were what led me to seek help four years after a diagnosis of esophageal and gastric metaplasia. My gastro put me in for an EGD on October 23rd, which was uncomfortably far out for myself and the other medical professionals involved in my case. That night I contacted this office, Northeastern Gastroenterology, and spoke to a lovely woman who had worked here for decades (Misty), explained my symptoms, and she urged me to get the test done sooner and at their location. I agreed to this and began the process of moving my information into their office by contacting my primary gastro; I also had a follow up with my primary the next day, yesterday, and she also expressed concern in getting the procedure done quickly. She ordered me a CT scan with contrast with the concern that I might be experiencing some form of cancer, or cancer progression. I then called Northeastern gastro again and spoke to a woman named Jenn who was just as helpful and attentive as the first lady and we confirmed that I was having my information sent over to have an EGD scheduled in the coming week. Cue to today. I called to confirm everything was moving smoothly and a woman, who wasn't one of the aforementioned two, stated that that's not how it works in the office and that I would need to schedule additional visits. I explained my previous experience with the other people I spoke to and she proceeded to tell me that the policy changed...yesterday.. and somehow before I spoke to Jenn. My response was "I doubt that, can I speak to the office manager please?". The office manager doubled down. Not only did he tell me that their policy changed the day prior, but he also said it was my insurance that possibly wouldn't allow it based on the need of the diagnostic vs. exploratory test. So I asked him " Okay, so you're saying it's the insurance ? How do you know, you didn't run my insurance?" To which he replied "Well no, you see it's our guidelines". I then asked him those same questions over and over again, in different variations and words and he kept waffling between the two as each being a different reason for why I could not schedule my test anymore. If you're like me, and you're a young man in his 30s looking for help on a potential cancer diagnosis (one of the most lethal in the western world), you would get a smidge annoyed at this, especially when you're dealing with some of the first stages of really experiencing the existential threat that looms ahead. Cancer IS a battle, but that battle is personified by socially inept and emotionally bereft healthcare workers that either only care about the bottom line or just want you off the phone. My last words to him after hearing him go back and forth to deny me my EGD were , "Okay man, I get it.. Shut the f- up, you're clearly full of s-". Avoid this office like the plague and take the extra time to ride out to NJ to get proper care. This is where you go to get gaslit and die.

I have been a patient of this practice for over 13 years. Dr. Adam Berg was extremely…read moreunprofessional and very disrespectful. During a consultation he refuted that he ever referred me to another physician to receive medical marijuana for treatment. He more than once said he would never do/ done that. I told him I was not lying, that he did. I have paperwork stating that he referred me to said physician. Additionally Dr. Berg asked me why I was there to be seen when there is nothing he can do for my IBS. He himself scheduled me for a two year check up and I received a written reminder via the mail to schedule. He then continued to tell me he does not have the expertise to treat me. That I have IBS but do not have a GI issue. Something else must be wrong and to seek a primary care physician. He also told me I was at fault for my condition for deciding to not take an injectable steroid that had many negative side effects. I deemed on my own accord this was not beneficial to my health since it's my body. Then after asking Dr. Berg to assist with my ADA workplace accommodation he become very agitated and aggressive. Asserting he would not ever do that. He does not have the staff to complete it. He would never help me in that regard. I then stated to him his practice had assisted with my FMLA for the same specified illness IBS. He attempted to deflect and said he would not ever do that. At this point I decided to leave the appointment. I apologized for wasting his time and his clear frustration. I have never been spoken to or treated in such a manner by any health professional. I came there simply for help and was treated with no empathy or kindness. Dr. Berg is unfit to practice with this type of patient report. I thank the office for previous help over the years with c-diff, IBS, and Crohns. The previous doctors who are now retired were of a different ilk. They practiced respect and humanism. I hope Dr. Berg receives some help and will work on himself. I hope other patients don't experience his lack of humanism. I hope he can practice some self reflection and take time to work on his mental health.

I wouldn't recommend Dr. Lee to anyone! He was completely unprepared for every one of my appointments and obviously didn't look at my patient chart prior to the appointments. He is argumentative, does not provide results in a timely manner, and for that matter has yet to provide me with the latest results of numerous tests and procedures that were done months ago! It is unacceptable for me as a patient to have to guide the entire appointment and waste most of our precious little time reviewing information a professional would already know and be prepared for. The upper endoscopy and colonoscopy he performed were immensely stressful for a variety of reasons, the biggest of which was no one at the hospital was informed by Dr. Lee that I required general anesthesia. I nearly cancelled both procedures minutes before I was to be wheeled into the procedure room because every single medical professional that checked in with me told me I was going to receive conscious sedation, including the anesthesiologist minutes before the procedures. This was totally unacceptable! Forget trying to change your health care to a different provider at this practice. I was willing to at least try a different provider and was told by staff there would be no problem with this. Only to find out the practice refused to let me see a different doctor, stating the other doctor had "nothing additional to add". Which is a joke; I didn't even have the test results that I had waited months for, nor a care plan for my ongoing symptoms. HOW CAN THERE BE NOTHING TO ADD? Tabitha Dona, the office manager, never once spoke to me, yet the office staff informed me that she said "the decision stands". I called awhile back to see if I…read morecould get scheduled, they told me to wait longer and that they should reach out once they got the referral. I didn't hear back again so I called back only to find out they don't take patients that have been to another gastro provider. Would've been nice to know 5 months ago. Both times I called the lady who answered the phone was rude. I think she's worked there too long. Not recommended
