I've highly recommend donating here to many people. I've had excellent experiences in the 67 times I've donated, however, today I was greatly disappointed. I called the center because I'm trying to look at new medication options with my doctor. I have an option of a medication that I wanted to see if I could take while donating. When I called I was basically told that I'd have to take it and find out when I come in and get screened. I find this frustrating and absurd. What if the medication costs hundreds of dollars? I have to go spend hundreds of dollars and then go see if it's ok? This medication is ideal but I have options. Do I just do this over and over if I find out that I can't take it while donating? There's no way that there isn't a database of a medications that can or can't be taken during plasma donation that they can check. I'm pretty disappointed that they aren't willing to be more helpful to people that are trying to be loyal and forthcoming. I feel like this approach and making things difficult for donors increases the danger of donors being dishonest to avoid not being able to donate. It's kind of sad. I really like donating but im feeling pretty conflicted about it right now especially because at the center they have a plethora of advertising indicating how much care about and value their donors and this doesn't feel like that. read more

I originally gave grifols a higher rating in the past but recently it has drastically changed since then. Normally I don't just give a poor rating let alone a 1 star, but I have been having a repeated history of poor behavior and lack of professionalism from my previous visits. I am veteran and even while holding my VIP card up I am ignored, it usually requires staff that are either leaving to acknowledge me. Other than the wait, when taking my pulse, the person will often have an attitude and will get upset that I want my pulse checked before I have my blood taken for lab results. When they take my blood, my pulse spikes, so it is important that I don't get my blood taken first. When I finally get into the back to get my plasma taken, I have had several experiences where they either didn't put the needle in far enough, or forgot to turn on the machine. When they finally come around to fix the mistake they quickly pointed to me to blame as they will say that it is taking forever to get my plasma probably because I'm eating unhealthy or not drinking enough. So far I would highly advise going to another plasma center as this one is poorly managed. read more

These people will cheat you out of your money. I do not recommend this place, I can only imagine how many other people have suffered the indignity of donating plasma and not getting compensated accordingly, not getting what's promised and owed to them. I gave twice within a 7 day period just like all their literature reads. I work and can't get there in their schedule and to have an employee confirm that it was my second donation and was going to collect the latter fee and for it to not happen is not right. I asked the screener and she confirmed, verified, for me that it was my second donation and I would be collecting the $100 dollar fee. The manager JR was not concerned with resolving my issue, he was more concerned about me understanding what a week looks like for them and telling me he was going to "council" the screener. They do not care, business is to good for them right now. How is that helping me? He should have made it right and paid me what was owed to me, instead his asking me to come back and donate again! Like that's going to happen. I am just one person and this my voice and my warning to you. Hear me They will cheat you.. They only loaded $30 when I should have been compensated $100. read more

Having to wait I irregularly long just have a quick med screen due to my 1 medication. As a regular donor, I am NOT very impressed that only 1 nurse is available for them. My dad recently had to have platelets for his brain surgery; so, I donate with purpose. If it wasn't for helping patients , I'd rather not be out in the old rain. Going on 1hr waiting. And still nobody in this now 6 people line has moved. read more

I donated plasma when I went to school at Angelo State. I did it because I thought it would be safe and it is an easy way to make money. However, the last time I donated it burst a blood vessel in my arm and they couldn't put the blood they had taken out back in so I lost about a liter of blood that day. And because my blood vessel burst from my hand to shoulder was bruised black for two weeks. My immune system was off track for 8 months after that and every time I see a doctor he tells me I need to be taking more iron. I made the wrong choice donating plasma for my body and my health. The LIFE LONG track marks on my arm are less than attractive too, something no ever mentioned. read more
