So here it goes:
Once a year, over in Marin County CA a bunch of environmentally conscious, sustainably minded creatures take over the Marin Center in San Rafael, CA.
If you are into any kind of eco-artistry, design or thought this is the place to beehive for that weekend, usually in the late teens of October, to find out more about innovative ways to view the world, and inspire others to do so.
It's definitely a scene, and certainly catered to the over 40 crowd who can afford to shell out almost $400 for the weekend. However, I highly recommend going for the free entry spots, like the exhibitors hall, where you can see a lot of the artwork, music and latest and greatest in eco-hype literature, or the Saturday night party, where a good band or DJ is almost always guaranteed.
If you're into it, there is also the Cool Crew, where you can volunteer for 8 hours, and then participate in lectures and workshops at no fee. This is the way to go, but certainly makes for an even more tiring weekend.
