The two items we ordered were both SO good. We ordered some sort of toast that has almond butter, hazelnut butter, jam, and coconut flakes. It had the perfect amount of sweetness to satisfy a slight morning sweet tooth. The other item we ordered was the bowl of the month (or maybe it's the bowl of the week?) It, too, was wonderful, and so filling! Grounded is really cute and cozy inside, but I will say that it was HOT in this small space. Also, there isn't much seating in here. The mixed plate of appetizers, including homemade hummus and baba ganoush was scrumptious! The calzones were superb and the bio vin rouge is delicious. You see Winky with his one eye on the baked potato there, and yes, he got some, but the lovely proprietor, who has tattoos of her dogs on her forearm, as well as a beautiful mural of them on the restaurant wall, had treats for him as well. What a lovely evening! Vegan friends, don't miss this sweet spot when you are in Paris - then while you are in the area, finish your evening with a mini hike (or tram straight up the hill) up the Butte Monmartre to #SacreCouer, and another glass of wine in one of the lovely restaurants at the top of Monmartre.

As for the menu typed quickly on the computer, with a layout worthy of five-year-old child and slipped into a plastic interlayer antediluvian, we do not even talk about it. I will not go into a description of all the dishes but you make a summary: the elements are overall good, well cooked. We will simply note a great lack of knowledge of a category of products that are vegans though: spices! Indeed, all dishes are singularly lacking in tone. Everything is pretty bland. The taste memorable. I have never had a sushi roll like it and now I want to live inside the restaurant so I can have it forever. We also got five pieces of the yummy Seitan Crispy, which comes with a lovely Doenjang sauce, that is thick and flavorful. These unique, protein boosts are also cleanly fried, delectable and filling. Lastly, my husband got the small BBQ Donburi which was a bowl of rice, a flavorful bbq soy protein, and some mesclum. He loved it.
