One lane for an hour plus rental shoes $60+ (We had not been bowling or at this location in 10+ years) Private parking lot, short wait to pay, no wait for shoes, upon setting up game, entering names and selecting our ball, we needed the metal piece to roll the ball and lane rails/guards for the child (9 yrs old) to practice and waited a good 5-10 mins for someone to come so we lost that gaming time however we truly enjoyed playing. ***later that night, all 3 adults complained of soreness in shoulder and elbows from the work out. So get your biofreeze ready :) *** We even helped he family next to us that were two adults and two small children (both under the age of 8). They didn't have the rails or metal piece for ball, the children were hating life crying and tantrums, once I suggested it, the father said "but isn't that cheating", I said "not while someone is practicing especially minor children", once they got those two needed things they had a wonderful time with dry eyes and smiles, even the parents started enjoying themselves and thanked me. Overall good vibes everywhere. Everyone seemed happy, smiling, and laughing. Saw a lot of great players about especially two young men with their own shoes and bowling balls. Impressive to see young folks into this sport. They also had billiard tables and a gaming room for those interested. Advice: prior to paying and getting to lane.....select your bowling ball first and ask about the button to add lane rails to younger players only so you don't waste any gaming time. If the ball you prefer isn't at your lane, they have a selection of balls aligned against the back wall. During the week, they have bowling specials (look for them online). The secret to this place is you have to get here early. No crowds and great service. We got the summer family deal which is fantastic. Sure sometimes the machine gets stuck but it's such a classic no frills kinda bowling place. No overpriced food menus that are really crappy food. No over the top cocktails that you would regret. They do have a bar which has been remodeled so you could but people just stick to drafts and pitchers of beer. Kids order the basic chicken nuggs and pizza and get the vending machine ice cream dots. Decent bowling place - recommend reserving lanes ahead of time because it gets very busy. It's even hard to find parking! Overall the bowling facilities are good, nothing special and nothing bad. Let's start that this place has finally been remodeled and brought up to date. But the billiards area has been shrunk and redone. Not new tables but shrunk from about 16 tables to 8. The bar service closed. The walk up food service closed. Everything now has to be ordered by servers who are barely 19 years old. Poorly trained and consistent under staffed . Friday's and Saturdays are the worst. Unsure why they changed the things they had but everything has gone up. So better save up and be extremely patient to wait to bowl or shoot pool. Bird Bowl is an old school alley that doesn't try to be fancy like the other spots popping up around Miami... Thankfully the prices reflect that too, making it a nice rainy (or lazy) day activity. You can pay by the hour or by number of games you want to bowl. Rates change based on the day of the week and time you go, but you can find all of that info online. For some perspective, I came with four people on Saturday early afternoon and we paid $50 total for two games and shoes all around. I've never tried the food, but we'll usually get a cheap bucket of beers to enjoy While I definitely like the no frills and nostalgic feel of this place, I do wish they'd get some newer balls and update the graphics a bit. Still four stars because it meets expectations, but just be prepared for some grunge if you didn't grow up going to this place. It can get really crowded if you come at peak times. We'll often pass the time over some air hockey or basketball at the arcade which will leave you wishing you could bathe in sanitizer but alas, all part of the fun, right? read more

Had a horrible experience, hope your lane doesn't have issues because if it does no one is going to help you. You have to go out of your way to fine someone because the associates walking try and avoid everyone. One guy after asking if they're going to add time after waiting 5 minutes for help he says hold on I'm very busy right now. All in all the manager needs to be on the floor and make sure people are working you can tell everyone just does what they want and the manager probably sits in the back all day. Would love so hospitality if customers have issues and stay waiting 20 minutes for their lane to be fixed and then only get added 5 minutes. Had a total of 4 issues with lane not working. Yeah, I use bumpers when I'm bowling...so what?! I've never been a fan of wearing rented shoes so I only come here in groups when I'm peer pressured to do so. The prices can't be beat. Overall, the rate you pay per person is much more attractive than other bowling alleys nearby. Yes, they've revamped certain parts of their location but the overly vintage feel gives me major throwback memories. The cheesy graphics when you land a strike enable the walk of pride back to your lanes seating area. Bowling can get quite competitive and even if you initially only want one game, you'll more than likely add a few more because this place makes it a blast to feel like a winner. A lot of nearby schools and summer camps plan field trips here. It's family friendly and on Wednesday's they offer discounted prices on bowling making it an even better deal.
