I've been to Birdfish a ton, and every time it's so much fun. They have something for everyone on their drink menu, so you're sure to find something you enjoy. Staff is very friendly and they have so many fun events going on you'll never be bored. My favorite time to visit it when they have bingo nights or table top game nights. We came to a cute little town called Columbiana to try Birdfish Brewing. Today there happened to be a band called Captain Colada that performed Jimmy Buffet music and they were pretty good. There were a lot of parrot heads in the crowd so it definitely added a cool vibe to the already lively atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed a cold beer and great music. Really can't go wrong here! My husband, dogs, and I were staying in a local miniature cabin nearby, and we were itching to get out for a few hours. We immediately chose Birdfish because they allow dogs inside the taproom, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The first evening we visited, it was rather empty, but the male bartender was super kind and accommodating! We took the time to play some games, have a few drinks, and listen to live music. We had so much fun that we decided to go back the following evening for Bingo. Again, we brought our dogs, and it was a lot more crowded than the previous night, but it was still conducive to furry friends that can tolerate a bit of extra noise! This place is awesome! Birdfish is absolutely massive and was buzzing with people, so you can tell it's a popular spot. We loved the setup--there was a food truck for some great eats, and we were lucky enough to catch an open mic night, which was a lot of fun. I don't know about beers but I know when people love their beer and enjoy a great spot! What is a penguin? A bird? A fish? A Birdfish!! Very family friendly. Lots of pinball games and other game tables available. Dogs are welcomed too! There is no food sold by the brewery, but the have food trucks. As such, depending on what time you arrive, there may be limited options available. Eat before you go or take a pizza with you! Very friendly crowd. The best part for me was the band! People were dancing and singing along. Impressive group of about 8-10 members. Some were high school kids! Place was packed but large enough that it didn't feel crowded. We were looking for a place to take the pups for a day out and about. Birdfish is so welcoming to families, pups, and all. They have a great outdoor area for when the weather is nice. The main entrance welcomes you into the taproom where there is amble seating, pinball games, and the taps, of course. Take a walk to the back of the bar, and you will find another room where live music is often played and additional seating and games are available. If you are looking for food, check their schedule as they usually have a different food truck on rotation. The beers (ipas) we had were quite delicious. The atmosphere was bumping with visitors and so welcoming to us as first-timers. We will definitely take our Ace & Luna back for another visit. We drove in from Pittsburgh to see my husbands cousin & she wanted us to check this spot out! It's a great little brewery that has multiple different indoor & outdoor seating areas. There are tons of games to play inside too. During the Saturday we were there they also had 2 food trucks & live music going on! The bartender was super welcoming & excited to tell us about their beers. The whole vibe was great. They also had a cute little gift shop with lots of cool logo'd gear. I'm not a beer lover so opted to try their seltzers. I wasn't a fan of the first one (Berry) because it smelled so much like beer to me I couldn't quite get past it. The 2nd one (salted lime) was interesting & pretty good! We'll definitely visit again next time we're in town. read more

You'll find a little room with the coolest merchandise for fans of the brewery (which you will be by your first visit) and an arcade to play around in while you enjoy your brew. This is a great stop and you can often find some really delicious food truck parked in the immediate area for those who prefer to drink on a full stomach. They are very generous about letting you sample the brews on tap to pick your favorite for the night and their flights are well worth trying out. This a wonderful little gem of a brewery that has a great atmosphere and great beer. It sit's in Columbiana, OH which is, selfishly, the only drawback as it's a half hour drive from my house so I either gotta take it easy on the beer consumption or bring a designated driver. I will not let my selfishness take a star away nor will it keep from enjoying their beer. They offer IPA's, porters, pilsners, stouts, etc. that are on a rotation within their 12-tap system. On yesterdays visit I enjoyed a Pinball Porter and a Cherry Yo. The porter was everything a porter should be. The Cherry Yo was ok but it is a sour which isn't high on my list of beer types but to each their own. I would assume if you enjoy a sour fruited beer, this may be a great one to try. The atmosphere and décor is fabulous and they have a selection of pinball machines and other games that will make the visit fun for everyone to include children. They don't offer food in-house however have a nice rotation of food trucks that offer some delectable menu items. In fact, the food truck that was there on our visit (Smoke Worx Street Cuisine) was good enough that it earned it's own review that will be completed in the very near future. Oh yeah, also appears to be dog friendly as there was a couple who had their golden retriever with them as they dined. All in all, an excellent brewery to visit and enjoy some great craft beer. We've always had a terrific time at Birdfish. It's the kind of brewery we'd enjoy finding while traveling, and it's right here in our backyard. I like how they've adapted and continued to build and develop, finding ways to make every visit enjoyable. The ticketed music events are an example. Last night our foursome got ourselves a table and were treated to not one but two terrific singer-songwriter acts, in the new and spacious 'ballroom'- itself a beautifully crafted and welcome addition to the space. I like this concept, and although it was a pandemic workaround to the gathering rules I hope it continues (albeit with a bit more capacity). The reason is that it's inexpensive at $10, one has a guaranteed seat and space for your party, and I'm guessing the artists make out a little better, maybe, and the folks around you are a more dedicated audience. A nice way to say polite. The food truck rotation is appealing to us, and I also like the business's involvement in the local community renewal projects, new dog park and that sort of thing. Constructive criticisms are few: please offer something beyond water or lemonade for my non beer-loving companions. They indulge me so much in breweries, is there anything you can offer like local wine, ciders, mead, anything? They don't like beer. It's sad, but it's not their fault. Secondly, the website makes it seem like there is a special kind of deal with Homestead Kitchen for meal delivery during the week. We were looking forward to that during the concert. Alas, in reality it's completely up to the manager there on any given night, and this wasn't our night. That should be clarified on the website so patrons don't end up hungry (although fortunately Belleria delivers!). Thirdly, and this is just my preference, I'd like a standard, non-infused, non-experimental stout or porter on rotation. So head on down to Birdfish if you haven't been. I'm really hoping the summer brings life back to our local scene after this dreary year and a half. Drink local! read more
