birdies has quickly become one of my go to spots in dallas - the food, the patio, and the drinks are all phenomenal! the cobb salad with popcorn chicken is amazing as well as the queso!!! highly recommend! they also have a great happy hour (definitely get the sauvignon blanc slushie )

I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and spinach artichoke dip. The Caesar wrap was cold, and the chicken wasn't that crispy. I've definitely had better chicken Caesar wraps elsewhere. I did enjoy the spinach artichoke dip though.

Birdie's Eastside is a lively place to bring your family and friends. There is a large patio outside and plenty of seating inside as well. There is a mix of booths, high top tables as well as low tables as well. Many families could be seen at the outside patio with kids playing in some of their open areas. We chose to sit inside and it was lively with music playing and conversations. I was able to hear the friends sitting next to me but was unable to hear other conversations in our group of 9. We had a choice of brunch and lunch items. I had the brisket tacos and a frozen Bellini. Both items were very good. You could tell the tortillas were fresh made which is always nice. Our group ended up sharing two desserts. One was an upside down pineapple cake and the other was a s'mores cake. Both were very good. Birdie's is a place I would bring friends for a casual meal and drinks. It has a lively atmosphere that puts one in vacation mode. Service was friendly and our group was not rushed through the meal. They were very good about giving you time and refilling drinks way past when most restaurants would have stopped. Overall, a fun place to hang out with friends with good food and drinks.

Came for happy hour with friends and stayed to watch the game. Isaiah took great care of us. There is a good selection of options on the happy hour menu, I opted for the smash burger. For $9 this is a steal! The burger was flavorful and the fries were fried perfectly. I also ordered the sundae and recommend it as well, it's a great way to end a meal. Everything that was ordered at the table was a hit. I look forward to coming back to dine again.

We were in the area and stopped in on the spur of the moment for lunch. Luckily it wasn't too crowded and were able to get right in. The food was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed the Southern Fried Bird. They had the perfect amount of pimento cheese on the sandwich. The crust on the chicken was perfect. I would definitely come back. It has a really cool looking patio that would be perfect in Spring or in the fall when it's not so hot.

We absolutely love Birdies! We came here last weekend and had such a great experience that we couldn't wait to come back. This visit, I ordered the Vegan Harvest Bowl again because I loved it so much the first time. Unfortunately, it came out extremely salty. But what really impressed me was how the staff handled the situation. Our waitress, Olivia, was incredibly attentive and kind. She immediately took care of it and asked the chef to prepare a fresh bowl for me. The replacement was absolutely perfect! To top it off, the manager came over personally to apologize and made sure we were taken care of. They didn't charge me for either bowl and even treated me to two complimentary drinks. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but exceptional customer service is what keeps people coming back. Birdies went above and beyond to make things right, and that's why we'll definitely be returning. Huge shoutout to Olivia for her outstanding service and to the entire team for genuinely caring about their customers. Highly recommend!

Great happy hour!!! Solid drink menu with great prices. The happy hour fries are a great steal and I love how they are served with guac and sour cream!! Crunchy, crispy, and fresh!! The Caesar wrap was solid, I wish the lettuce and chicken was more chopped up and tossed! Other than that it was great! Can't wait to come back and try the birria sliders and sit outside! Service was great and the ambiance is great for happy hour or to watch a sports game!

This spot is a good neighborhood spot. We've been a few times and always had a pleasant experience. I wish the food was better but it's not bad. They are family friendly and do have a kids menus which is nice. The staff is always friendly and does their best to take good care of guests. The food is just average but not bad at all. I think the big patio is very welcoming and a great spot for watching a game or lounging with family and friends.

Visited Birdie's Eastside on a Saturday around noon. Super busy on the patio, as it was a nice day outside. Parking lot can get crowded so carpool is the way to go if meeting a group. Birdie's is super spacious inside and outside. We dined on the patio and got sat right away. I tried the Sauv Blanc Slushie - this was so delicious. I usually never like frozen drinks but this is a hit! Out of all the food I tried here, the Birria Sliders were my favorite. Loaded Fries are a close 2nd. Definitely a great patio spot in Dallas to check out!!!!

Great Bar & Grill on Mockingbird. They have a massive outdoor seating area and a large dining room with a couple of smaller more private areas. The place is really large. There are plenty of TVs around for watching games. The food is very good, and is mostly traditional bar fare. Everything from tacos, to burgers, and sandwiches. They also have wraps in bowls, along with a couple of pasta dishes and the salmon is good. The staff are always super friendly.

This place was my last meal in Texas. This place is really great place to eat and hangout with your friends. The patio is very lovely with a fireplace and tvs all around. However I thought the menu was very limited. Shrimp Mediterranean bowl (3/5): There was just too many olives and it overtook the flavors of the rest of the ingredients Although I thought the food was okay, the servers were amazing

This was my second time visiting Birdie's Eastside and my first time trying their brunch! My family and I were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait for a table for four on a Sunday at 10:30 AM -- which, as many brunch-goers know, is no small feat. However, by the time we left around 11:30, it started to get crowded! I like to describe Birdie's as the more adult-friendly, upscale version of Katy Trail Ice House. It's the perfect spot to catch a game, bring your family or dog, or sit outside and enjoy a great meal in beautiful weather (there's plenty of indoor seating too). We started brunch with the Caesar deviled eggs, and I was honestly shocked by how much they captured the flavor of a Caesar salad -- these were a hit with everyone at the table. For my entrée, I went with the steak and eggs, a brunch classic. The dish itself was solid, but the real standout was the crispy, perfectly salty potatoes that came with it -- they were easily my favorite part of the meal. The only downside to our visit was the service. Despite the restaurant being fairly empty when our food arrived, our waitress didn't check in to see if everything came out correctly. After about 10 minutes, we finally flagged her down to ask for ketchup for the potatoes, which took another 10 minutes to arrive -- and she only brought one small cup for the entire table. We ended up having to flag down another waiter for more. Overall, though, Birdie's Eastside remains a great spot: delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, and a setting that makes it easy to enjoy time with family or friends. With a bit more attentive service, it would've been an excellent brunch experience.

That's the whole thing. French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. The goal is to make you forget entirely. I forgot entirely. The tallow fries helped.
