I've seen this place a few times but was convinced that I had to come back after hanging here before a Yelp Elite Event. When I came back for dinner with my boyfriend, I was beyond hype to try their chicken sandwich. To my disappointment, they ran out. After dealing with that heartbreak and consulting the bartender for recommendations, I decided to get a burger. Thankfully, it was amazing! Very flavorful, juicy, and filling. It also came with house made potato chips which were pretty good. I've yet to return for that chicken sandwich but I look forward to trying it real soon.

We were happy with the golf simulator experience. Our server Alexis was a sweetheart and fantastic. She answered any questions we had about the simulator and was at our attention whenever we needed anything. Such a great atmosphere and a great bang for your buck in terms of golf simulation. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

I went here for my friends birthday last weekend and I have to say it was super cute and we had such a great time!! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect. We were going to go to a real golfing range but they were booked. We saw Birdies just opened and decided to give them a try. Downstairs is a large lounge/bar area. Upstairs they have all of the virtual golf plus other games you can play. It was really fun. They partnered with Rhum. They have a handful of appetizers and burgers. We ordered through the app and the food was delivered quickly. Everything was great. It would nice though if they could extend the menu a bit. Maybe add some tacos? I'm not sure if it was the owner? Manager? Didn't get his name, however he was SO sweet!! He let us bring a cake for our friend and went above and beyond. It's a great place to practice golf, play fun games or just hang out the bar downstairs. We will be back and I wish them much success!!

Good selection of drinks and if you're hungry, they don't have their own kitchen but they have a deal with Rhum next door to order food, which is some good tasty bar food.

I stopped in for lunch, and I must say they have one of the best lunch offerings in town. A full entree with choice of side (fries, chips or slaw), and a fountain drink for only $13! I ordered the tavern chicken sandwich without the bun and it was very good! It was topped with some delicious smoked Gouda cheese and it also had bacon, shrooms, tomato and honey mustard. I chose fries as my side which were nice and crispy and seasoned well. Now normally this sandwich is $18. You can't beat this lunch special at all! Service was lovely. I opted to sit at the bar. Caroline was my bartender and she was a delight. I'm glad to see they improved from my last visit nearly 10 years ago. I definitely plan on returning again!

Their game room is perfect for kids to enjoy during your visit! Monday's kids eat free (with purchase of entree) and get a free game room card all day! See below for more specials! We were really impressed with the space Arooga's has to offer. It has a massive bar that is surrounded by big screen TVs, with an impressive draft beer list. They are also serving up hand crafted cocktails - we enjoyed a few of the signature margaritas and a nice Moscow mule. For food we got the fried pickles (love when they are in chip form)served with their Arooga's sauce that paired great. Of course we had to try some on their award-winning wings that didn't disappoint. Both entrees we got we really enjoyed - great Philly Cheesesteak and we love a good burger on a pretzel bun! On top of that, my damn car decided to up and die, so I've been bleeding money on Ubers just to get to and from work. I even had to go into work on my day off just to sit around waiting for the tow truck so they could junk it. Love that for me. After I handled business with the junkers, I said eff it and headed to Whiskey Neat. I was starving--no breakfast, running on fumes--and since my job's in Patchogue, I figured I'd finally try them for lunch. First of all... happy hour on a Saturday from 12-6?! Uhhh hello?? In my Angelina from Jersey Shore voice. And if you pay cash, you get the discount. Say less. They've got a fabulous small plates menu. I started with the French onion soup--ooey gooey mozzarella, cheese pull was undefeated. Soup was delicious too. I haven't had French onion in ages and it really hit. Then I had the pulled pork slider, which was really good, but BABY... those short rib croquettes? To. Die. For. I also had to get my classic deviled eggs. A little heavy-handed on the paprika, but still solid. Drinks were half off, so of course I indulged. Started with an espresso martini because I needed something to jumpstart my day. Then I had a French martini because duh--I'm a French girl ‍. That one was good. Finished with my classic cosmo. Not gonna lie, I've had better, but it did what it needed to do and helped me forget my troubles for a couple hours. Also great playlist of music. I got there and they were playing Ska. Love me some Reel Big Fish and No Doubt. Mixed with some Motown and Bob Marley. Made me remember the good old days.

I've been to Main Street Patchogue a few times before and I'm always amazed at how it's now like Huntington, with tons of eateries, bars and places to hear live music. It was a busy late Spring Friday night and my cousin told me if we were there just two weeks later (ie, post Memorial Day), there would have been lines to get in anywhere. So make resos! I made one easily earlier that day and when we arrived around 7:30, it was not packed, but it is pretty loud in there even half full. Our waiter, Jonathan, expertly took such great care of us from start to finish, even taking my father's dad jokes in stride. There's a solid cocktail menu, but I had a couple glasses of a better-than-decent prosecco. My cousin loved his espresso martini. For food, count on a couple respectable vegan entrees and I went with the Japanese eggplant with cashew ricotta. The eggplant is delicious, slightly sweet with a creamy rather than chewy (thank god) texture. The cashew ricotta is also tasty, but I do think it needed to be blended a bit more to remove the slightly grainy texture (the cashews might have needed more soaking). My father loved his French onion soup and pastrami sandwich. Separate paragraph for the fries. They deserve it. I'm glad we ordered these to share- it's an enormous platter of them. I appreciated that they were salted perfectly. I appreciate restaurants that can make satisfy a variety of preferences and dietary restrictions. The vibe here is festive and vibrant and a great choice for groups and families.

I had to go to the UPS store (avoided rude unpleasant character in Shirley), and saw Howard's Cafe. Looked it up here, seemed great. Went in, and greeted by really NICE people! And they have GLUTEN-FREE rolls! Caryn came to seat me and take my order. She was the BEST! She didn't know if the turkey burgers had breadcrumbs, so I went with the grilled chicken. I also decided that I deserved bacon, so got the Mary, Mary topping--bacon, mushrooms, and sautéed onions. Entrees come with a salad, which arrived in a bowl topped by another bowl, with two things of dressing and croutons on the side. Caryn didn't think that I could have the croutons, and she was right. The salad was iceberg lettuce, which I hadn't had in YEARS, lol, with tomato and red onion. And a shaker of BAC-O's!! Oh my. Hadn't had those in 30 years. Very salty, which explains why. There was a choice of skinny fries (boo), steak fries, or sweet potato fries. I got the steak fries, which were wedges. Yum! The grilled chicken was yummy and generous, the bun was TOASTED (yay), and the toppings piled high. So good! A tad dry, but Caryn brought me some mayo. I forgot to order cheese. Ack. This is a nice place, with a bar filled with convivial locals, a cheerful bartender, and the marvelous Caryn. There are booths and tables. The iced tea came with two slices of lemon! I was SHOCKED when I got the bill. SHOCKED. It was $20.06 for a LOT of food and an iced tea! I took half the sandwich home because I couldn't finish it. I did finish all the salad--and Caryn asked if I would like more (declined)--and all the fries. Astonishing. What a great value!! That seems so rare these days. I had looked at the menus of a couple of other nearby places. Very glad that I chose this one. Sad that it's not near me, but I'll be back.

I felt extremely unsafe at this bar…read more Just after midnight, I was helping a friend who had too much to drink and brought her to the bathroom so she could calm down. A group of women were screaming, and I politely asked them to lower their voices. One woman became aggressive. Shortly after, a woman who claimed to be the owner entered, put her hands on me, and immediately kicked us out without asking what happened or attempting to de-escalate. A male security guard physically grabbed us and forced us out the back door into the cold rain, even though we were not resisting and our jackets and belongings were still inside. Later, while I was calmly seated with my group, that same guard grabbed me again and told me to leave, saying "you smell like shit." For context, I am brown, my friend is Black, and the staff involved were white. I can't say whether that played a role, but the treatment felt targeted and inappropriate. Because of the physical handling and unsafe treatment of patrons, I have filed a complaint with the New York State Liquor Authority. I would not recommend this place.

NOW!!! - WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE PRICE IF THE CAESAR SALAD AND THE COST TO ADD CHICKEN. This is where the negative stats come in. I don't care who you are but the nerve to charge that much money to add chicken to a Caesar salad salad which probably cost $1.50 to make is maddening. This is a dish that you probably make the highest return and profit on so to take one chicken small chicken breast which you're probably buying in bulk and getting for next to nothing and charge $10 for it to be cooked and cut up into a couple of pieces and thrown on top of the salad really was a turn off to me. Other than that we got a fair price on drinks and the chicken wings which were on Special. So I think we got 10 wings for 12 bucks or something. It was a good deal and they were good. Fix that salad situation. That's totally f&$ked

I had the dogfish head 60 minute IPA. Really good, very cold which is a huge plus. App was shrimp wonton tacos. Good, not great, small portion but not bad as part of a price fixe item. Crispy shell, fresh shrimp. Main was chipotle chicken wrap. Very good. Not dry with a nice blend of cheese, a little kick as well. Negatives: we asked for the wrap without pico , however it was not left off. It was quickly returned without any issues . When we received the check we were charged double. I actually gagged a little like it was meant to be baby food, to each their own though. The overstuffed garlic knot while enormous, do not be fooled by the name, it was maybe some kind of cheese and butter with some pesto. While tasty I consider myself a garlic knot snob this was like the third cousin of a garlic knot twice removed.
