This place is a bit of a hidden gem. It's off the beaten path but worth a stop. The food is so flavorful. I asked for spicy and that's what I got. My mouth was on fire and I loved it! They also give you a lot of naan for the price! In fact, everything was we priced. The staff was super nice. I did takeout, but there were lots of tables and there was even some Bollywood on the tvs; a fun touch! We'll definitely be back!

MYSORE MASALA DOSA
Victoria S.

They have been a great takeout place during COVID-19, with generous portions, great prices and fast service. Today we decided to dine in. Ordering was still done at the counter. Shared a mysore masala dosa and an onion uttapam. The dosa was almost as long as the table and rolled up. The interior was lined with a dark red spicy sauce. The masala (potato) filling as served on the side. We spread it inside the dosa and re rolled it. The flavors all went well with spice, savory from the potatoes and thin crispy exterior of the dosa holding it together. The uttapam was made from a similar batter, but thicker and served as 2 large pancakes (filled with onions). It was piping hot and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside with many sweet onions. Both dishes came with sambar and 3 different types of chutneys. All were excellent.

Chicken Kurma

Every time I get Indian food, I alwayssss get some type of curry. I think this place has changed me liking briyani more. Chicken kurma: has a good coconut flavor but it's not the best I've had. I got American medium but I didn't taste any spice. Chicken briyani: all of the chicken is under the rice but it comes with a lot. The chicken is juicy and extremely flavorful! I got this Indian mild but it has a good kick to it! I think this dish will become my new go to for Indian.

Vegetable Biryani

Got their chicken Biryani and as expected it was delicious. Probably the best biryani in Moco. Prices went up, but you can still get 10% off with cash. Plenty of chicken morsels in the Biryani. Indian spice was spread evenly in the rice and chicken. Comes with yogurt raita to cool down ur palette. Portions are huge, certainly got three meals out of it. Service was slow - so call ahead and make time for the order. This place is mostly take out. They have like 1 or 2 tables for dine in. Place was clean with all the chairs up in the tables. Like they don't want to do dine in anymore.

This is actually my go to for biryani and favourite in the dmv for years! If you're looking for authentic biryani try their bone-in chicken biryani which is so hard to find since boneless is everywhere. The rice is sooo good, after the meat's done the rice is still so flavourful. They also do a really good goat biryani and you get a good amount of food for the price! Service with a smile! I've never had a bad experience with them and the restaurant is cozy. Not too much bells and whistles, the focus here is on the food!

5/5 would recommend if you love Indian food. I just got into try this type of food and so far no place I've been has made anything even remotely spicy. I love spice and have finally found an incredible spot!! They have so many varieties and not just a bunch of regular options that other restaurants have. They are truly wonderful and their scale goes from 1-10. I got an 8 and it was spicy. I loved it! Everything I got was so decorous and the pricing was very reasonable. Their entire staff was very accommodating and really walked us through the menu. They have outdoor seating for the to go food. Cannot wait to come back here.

We had a surprise power outage and needed to get some food about a week ago. My wife suggested Indian, so I found this spot not too far away. We arrived and we're disappointed to see that there was no seating for food inside. Ordering was straight forward with a woman up front. We ordered some mango lassi, which was very tasty. They knock that out of the park. For food we ordered saag paneer and butter chicken. My wife isn't a fan of spicy so she got mild. I ordered medium and unbeknownst to me, this was Indian medium. The food took a pretty long time to come out, but sometimes good food takes time. We took our food to go and ate at home. The saag paneer was good. Lots of paneer chunks, albeit the serving was small. The buttered chicken was super hot. Warning: if you order Indian spice levels you are in for the real deal. I legit haven't had food this spicy since being in India. It was borderline assault. The food was good but small portions, the lack of seating at a restaurant, and wait times knock this place down a bit.

Goat Biryani. Lots and lots of rice. Goat meat, not so much.

The chicken was juicy and delicious in the velvety smooth creamy curry. I also loved the zesty salad and the luxuriously creamy and flavorful daal. My husband had the Yellow Crab Curry ($22.99). It contained a very generous portion of lumped crab and the curry was smooth and creamy as well. The curry came with rice and we had the option of ordering additional naan, if needed. The restaurant was very quiet for lunch and service was very attentive by the waiter and the Maître d' The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a nice amount of seating, especially for large events. The waiter advised me the restaurant served about 300 people for their Mother's Day brunch! I thought that was amazing. I also thought I couldn't imagine how difficult it would have been to go to the bathroom during such an event. The women's room had two stalls (and the accessible stall had a diaper changing table), but only one sink! Luckily that was not a concern during our lunch visit. Heads up, the wait staff will ask if you'd like a paper bag to carry out any leftovers, and they are $0.10/bag due to the bag tax.

I don't see crab on alot of Indian restaurant menus. It was blue crab, albeit from Louisiana. Tasted fine though. Our other dishes were butter chicken, and chicken tikka marsala. Both were fine, but most Indian restaurants have that down. We got good service, enjoyed the ambience, and recommend you give it a try.

The restaurant has nice decor and a promising selection of menu items, but the execution of the traditional dishes fell short of my expectations. The Highlights: Timmur Chicken Wings: Absolutely amazing. The flavor profile was excellent and easily the best part of the meal. The Disappointments: Thukpa: I have very fond memories of this dish, but this version was highly disappointing. They altered standard ingredients and added fish oil, which is definitely not characteristic of traditional Nepali Thukpa. Momo: While the dumplings themselves were okay, they were let down by the sauce. What makes a Nepali momo superior is the specific, vibrant momo sauce (achar), but the sauce served here looked and tasted like a generic, store-bought version. Overall Verdict:While the menu features an appealing variety, the execution misses the mark on authentic Nepali cuisine. It has great potential, but they need to stick to their authentic basics.

My go to order: -Combination koobideh: 1 beef kebab and 1 chicken kebab served over a bed of saffron rice and sides of lavash bread, grilled tomatoes, onion, butter and sumac. This feeds me and my husband for two meals- so worth it! -Hummus: they have the best hummus in Rockville!! Garlicky, smooth, and dare I say, luxurious. You HAVE to try it! -Shirazi: refreshing cucumber, tomato, and onion salad with I think dried mint and lemon. So simple but so good. I could eat a whole container of this with hummus and rice. -Fried eggplant dip: this is fabulous too, and tastes so unique with the whey ingredient. You just have to believe me and try it. The dry mint makes it taste like tea leaves and so fragrant. -Their sandwiches are fantastic too and remind me of Vietnamese banh mi with the pickles, deli meat, and fresh herbs. We like the Kalbas sandwich- garlic mortadella with pistachio! The market is my go to place for dried chickpeas, olives, walnuts, Barbary bread, Persian cucumbers, feta, Persian yogurt, local eggs (Poolesville), fresh and dried herbs, olive oil, and so much more! I cannot get the same quality elsewhere, and I appreciate their careful and thoughtful sourcing. They also make fresh cookies in house- my fave is the cookie mix that has like 5 different cookies. Actually, I was quite surprised that this restaurant existed because many businesses in this complex looked like those of the industrial sort. Also, there isn't too much foot traffic in these parts. Fortunately, this was a great find for me. It appears that this restaurant is more of a pick up and go sort of spot because I saw only two (maybe) three tables. Fortunately for me (again), there was no one else in the restaurant so I had the place all to myself. Since I was starving, I pretty much ordered the first two appetizers that I saw on the menu, which were the samosas and fish pakoras. Both items were about 20 bucks with tax and tip. While I was not blown away by the food, I thought the meal was delicious and pretty standard. - in other words, I had no complaints. Also, I thought the portions were pretty fair for the price based on my experiences at other Indian spots in the area. Overall, I thought the service was pretty prompt, and the woman who took my order was super friendly and accommodating. Although I probably would not go out of my way to have Indian food here, it's a pretty decent, low-key spot if you live/work/go to the gym in this area.
