I would give this trail 5 stars if it was more demanding. This isn't really hike but more a walk and what a walk it is.
I've been through deserts, mountains, forests, and this was my first time through a bog. As such, it has its own beauty and unlike the other ecosystems which are more about the grand picture (vast expanses of nothingness, jagged mountains, big trees) the bog is about the microscopic and the minute. There are guides you can take with you at the trail head that point out pitcher plants, birds, moss, and explain the ecosystem. It's a beautiful place and the floating trail is a lot of fun too - be prepared to get wet! read more
