This is a really neat bison sculpture located near the parking lot for the Nature Center at Battelle Darby Creek Metro Park. It's a great stop on your way to visit the live bison, whose pastures are located nearby. This steel sculpture was designed by Michael "Smitty" Smith, and it really captures the spirit of the bison. It's interesting how the steel looks like different textures in various places on the sculpture, resembling the shaggy coats of the bison. read more
