We finally tried this place and it did not disappoint! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, the kabob platter, and baklava for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and the portions were generous. The restaurant itself is elegant, clean, and very spacious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. this place is SO cute inside! i was shocked by how cute and vibey it is inside and outside. it was crystal clean, with only one other person inside. service was so quick! had my food in minutes. i ordered a gyro wrap with rice. the rice was excellent, the meat was tender, and the tzatziki was the perfect consistency. they do chop their gyro meat a ton, where its almost ground - that was the one thing i didn't love but otherwise loved! definitely would come again. i can't believe more people don't know about it! read more

First time trying out this restaurant. I ordered the gyro combo plate, and I will say it was a lot of food. I had plenty leftover to take home. The plate included gyro meat, chicken, rice, and salad. I wasn't a huge fan of the salad since the dressing tasted a little weird to me, but other than that, the food was pretty good and the portions were great. My favorite was the dessert Pistachio Baklava, it's amazing! The location is super easy to find since it's in a shopping center, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces available. The restaurant also has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area looked really pretty and nicely decorated, and the inside was also very clean and well decorated. The employees were very welcoming and nice, so the customer service was really good overall. read more

Stopped by here while visiting Carlsbad and everything went well. Located in a shopping complex with plenty of parking, this place has a beautiful indoor and outdoor seating area. While all items were delicious I couldn't help but feel something was missing. For example, the salmon wrap was tasty but it needed more flavor. The persian pizza was delicious but the dough wasn't firm enough for all the toppings. The servers were all nice and polite but we needed to get up and ask for things. You order at the counter then seat yourself. There's no one to bring you sauces, napkins etc. overall, I was happy with our experience and if visiting Carlsbad I would come back to try other items. read more

Pressed the surprise me button on Yelp and they suggested Bistro Kabob which is right next to work. They had a lunch special where you could get a gyro wrap for $13.99. Service was top notch and the ambiance outside is like you are on a Mediterranean island(I have never been, but I hope to someday). The wrap was packed with meat and really satisfying. I noticed next door at 5 Guys they also have a $13.99 special for a burger, fries, and drink. I don't know what is a better deal. I asked a bunch of people and they were split. Five Guys you also get peanuts to snack on while you wait, but you don't get the ambiance & feeling of Bistro Kabob. You are also supporting a small business at BK which I'm a fan of. read more

Great place! We went here to watch the final World Cup game and they could not have been nicer! The food was superb - very flavorful, fresh ingredients, and an amazing variety. There's a really lovely covered outdoor area with comfy-looking Persian decor but we didn't use it because we wanted to watch the match on their nice big screen. Service was excellent. The baba ganoush was the best I've had, and so was the falafel with garlic sauce. read more

However, when we arrived, they handed us a limited menu on a piece of paper with a fixed $45 price per person, which was extremely overpriced for the quality and type of restaurant. On top of that, the place was overcrowded, uncomfortable, and poorly organized. The service was horrible -- staff were not attentive and the whole experience felt rushed and misleading. This was my first time here. This is a great place for lunch. It also looks like the have a night life. As they have a bar section and I saw large speakers. There are multiple mounted TVs. So I am sure the show sports. The decor is casual. Greek music plays in the background. The service is pretty good. My food came quick and the workers were polite. I had the Steak Salad. The meat was very flavorful. And the salad was good as well. I did not care for the fruit in it. The sweet did cut the vinegar. I just can't eat, what I thought was mango. I do recommend the Steak Salad, but it does have a strong pepper taste to it. If you do a yelp review, you will get a free baklava. I will come back again. read more

Probably the best beef kabob I've had in San Diego County ! Came here with my buddies and we got a bunch of food ! We started out with the eggplant dip which was amazing ! Me and my buddy shared the big mixed grill plate. Definitely recommend especially if you are hungry !! Tons of meats and it came with rice and salad. My buddy's got the gyro wrap and spicy chicken diner ! They both loved it. We all shared a kabob pizza which is amazing !! Definitely worth trying! They have beers on tap as well! This Mediterranean restaurant has a warm welcoming interior with a relaxing patio area. The menu has a ton of options from several combo plates to salads to wraps. We ordered the salmon plate entree and the gyro and chicken combo plate. The chicken and salmon were grilled over fire on a metal skewer. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The combo plates are a bit pricey and are well over $22 to $28 each but they do give a ton of food per combo plate including salad, rice, pita, and hummus. The staff was fast and efficient. We have been here a number of times and we like the food typically, but we had a very bad service experience on our recent visit. Ordered an expensive dish, the lamb shank and it is served with rice. My son's order of chicken kabob's came out at the same time as my rice but the lamb did not. We waited and waited. Got up and asked where it was and they said they were working on it as there were some other orders. Not sure why they would not plan the dishes to all be served at the same time like normal but it seems the chef forgot it. They didn't seem to care nor did they try any recovery even though they ruined the experience fully. Not a good customer service place. The lamb was ok but my rice was now cold as was my son's lunch. read more

Tasty Gyro, Great Vibe, A Few Fixable Flaws Stopped in for lunch at Bistro Kebab in Carlsbad and went with the lunch special--gyro plate for $12.99 (a bit over $15 with tip). It was a solid experience overall. Atmosphere: The ambiance was unexpectedly nice. The inside has a clean, casual feel, while the shaded patio out front, complete with a bubbling fountain, gave it a relaxing, almost Mediterranean vibe. Great spot if you want to eat outside and not bake in the sun. Service: Didn't interact with the staff much, but they were straightforward and polite. Food came out fast, which is always a plus during a lunch break. Food: The gyro was flavorful, especially the meat. Good seasoning and texture. They include tzatziki on the side, which I liked since I could control the amount. There was also a bit of a light sauce already inside the wrap, which added some nice moisture. I also tried one of their tomato-based hot sauces--super fun kick and paired well with the dish. That said, a couple things held it back from being a 5-star meal: * The pita was a bit dry and crumbly, so without the yogurt or sauce, it felt too dry in the mouth. * The folding of the gyro felt a bit off, and it started falling apart as I was eating it. Might just be the way they wrap it, but I had to do some gyro surgery mid-meal. * A little more meat would have gone a long way toward balance. Bottom line: A tasty and affordable lunch with a great setting. With a moister pita and a touch more meat, this would be one of my go-to gyro spots in North County. Would I go back? Yes. Worth trying again--especially to enjoy that patio and explore more of the menu. read more

I have lived up the road for years! I am not a huge fan of kebabs, gyro, etc, so I never checked them out. BUT THEY HAVE PERSIAN FOOD! I love fesajoon! I wish I knew they had Persian food earlier!
