I've visited BJ's Brewhouse twice and had a great experience both times. My first visit was before a wedding, and I really enjoyed trying the margarita flight. On my second visit, I ordered a margarita with chips and salsa. The kitchen was very accommodating and allowed me to substitute a double order of salad instead of the usual salsa and guacamole, which I appreciated. The service was friendly, the food and drinks were enjoyable, and parking was easy and convenient. I'll definitely be back again. read more

A random Monday night. Three people. A craving for pizza. And the irresistible lure of BJ's $19 pizza night. What could possibly go wrong? Walking into BJ's is like opening a phone book from 1997. The menu is absolutely limitless. Page after page after page of "Sure, we can make that too." If you've ever thought, "I wish one restaurant served pizza, pasta, burgers, tacos, steaks, salads, and probably auto parts," BJ's has you covered. The restaurant is huge and has a long bar. World Cup Soccer was playing...seemed like it could be a fun place to watch sports. We started with beers, a glass of wine, and the spinach artichoke dip. The dip arrived quickly, which was impressive. The dip itself? Perfectly adequate. Not bad. Not good. Just existing. It was the Switzerland of appetizers. Next up, a salad and the burrata pizza. Fair warning: the pizza that arrived appeared to have only a passing acquaintance with the glamorous model featured in the menu photo. Apparently, the menu photographer deserves a raise. The salad and pizza hit the table, but our drinks were still on a spiritual journey somewhere between the bar and our booth. Thankfully, we had water, because dehydration was beginning to feel like a real possibility. Eventually the drinks arrived and we dug in. The pizza was... mediocre. Not offensively bad. Not memorable. Just aggressively average. Somehow it also managed to be dry, which is an impressive achievement for pizza. We asked for extra sauce, and our server happily brought out a cup. Unfortunately, the sauce appeared to have come directly from a refrigerator..... Nothing says "fresh pizza enhancement" quite like cold, cold marinara. To be fair, our server was pleasant, friendly, and genuinely trying his best. He was easily the highlight of the meal. Will we be back? Probably not. We had a reservation, but still waited 45 minutes past our scheduled time to be seated. I understand that busy nights happen, but there were many tables open, and while we were waiting, the manager told the hostess not to seat anyone. Having a reservation should mean the restaurant is prepared to seat guests within a reasonable timeframe or at least communicate delays clearly. The long wait was frustrating and took away from the overall experience. Better communication, realistic reservation times, or offering updates while guests are waiting would have made the situation much more manageable. read more

Unfortunately, my visit to this BJ's location was less than inspiring. The only positive aspect was that the staff members were friendly. However, the food was not very well presented, lacked freshness or flavor, and the overall area could have been a little better with regard to cleanliness. The chips and dip were served to me with chips haphazardly all over the place and having fallen into the salsa and the beans accompanying the tacos (which I asked not to receive) resembled brown sludge, with the tacos shells themselves hard and not very fresh. All in all, I've had better experiences and better dishes here, but I think it can be hit or miss. I don't know, I'm kind of in the middle on this place. It's typical for a chain restaurant, although the architecture ambience was slightly better than similar chains. Some things were pretty good and some things, not so much. Monday through Friday they have $13 meals which come with a small dessert. I went there for my first time to try one. I had chicken parmesan with spaghetti. The spaghetti was good, but the chicken was flavorless and rubbery. My guest had the Southern fried chicken which looked quite good and tasted quite good. Our server was friendly but was kind of rushing us by bringing the dessert while I was still eating the entree. I had the Strawberry Shortcake which was on a very undercooked doughy sugar cookie but thankfully it still tasted good. BJs is a solid pick if you want a little bit of everything and a solid beer selection. We went on a Friday night, and there was a bit of a wait. This was to be expected, though, and we didn't wait as long as the estimate we were originally given. My guest was on crutches, and we were seated at a table that required them to go up a few stairs. This was a little disappointing. Our food was decent and came out fairly quickly. I opted for the fried cous cous mac and cheese balls, but they lacked a little flavor without the accompanying sauces. However, the parmesan chicken was delicious. The white cheddar mashed potatoes are a favorite of mine as well. We went with pizookies for dessert-- I went with a brownie pizookie and my guest went with a salted caramel pizookie. I haven't been here for quite a long time but tonight was a great experience. Despite being crowded, my wife and I were sat within 10 minutes, albeit we did join the waitlist on our way there. For food - we started with the chicken dumplings. They were light and delicious. Good Asian flare to start the meal. For an entree, I had the Mediterranean Chicken Pita, in which the pita served as a taco shell. This was fantastic! The pita was grilled and there were a lot of flavors going on with tomato, feta, onion, and herbs. The yogurt dipping sauce was refreshing. It came with a side of quinoa salad, which was also very good. My wife loved her salmon power bowl, and I enjoyed the few bites I stole from her. I wanted to try a spot I'd never been to before so I decided to dine at BJs and I am happy I did. I went midday so it wasn't busy which was nice. There are TVs all around that had various sports channels on so you can eat and enjoy your favorite team. They have a good selection of beers as well as weekday meals specials and pizookie meal deals which was great. I ordered the southern fried chicken meal deal which came with a good portion of food then a small pizookie at the end. The meal tasted great, the chicken/corn/potatoes were cooked and seasoned well. I didn't realize there were different pizookie flavors so shout out to my server for the suggestions. I got the salted caramel one and it was divine. For an adult beverage I ordered a hard cider as I didn't plan on drinking but figured why not try it! I am happy I stopped here before going off to shop. I will be back again. read more

It had been a while since we stopped at BJs for dinner. This place is always packed on the weekends. We checked in at the hostess stand and headed to the bar for a drink while we waited. It seemed like a lot of time had passed without a text to be seated so I went to investigate and the hostess realized she forgot to add us to the wait list. She apologized and got us a table right away. Great service recovery., Our waiter was truly a delight and very efficient. He checked on us after ordering and provided excellent service. We tried their slow roasted and flash fried original bone in wings two ways - buffalo and lemon pepper - and both were really tasty. You get 10 wings to an order. I had the kicking chicken sandwich with onion rings and cole slaw and really enjoyed it. The chicken was super moist with a spicy crunchy coating on a really fresh bun with pickles. Their O-rings were super good too. We got a sugar cookie strawberry shortcake pizookie with whipped cream that was really tasty but could have been baked longer for a crispier crust. BJ's is a restaurant chain that has hundreds of locations across the U.S. During my most recent visit, the menu for this BJ's in McCandless Township listed foods such as salads, wings, calamari, burgers, pizzas, salmon, shrimp scampi, filet mignon, Pizookies (large cookies), etcetera. A full bar is available. During all of our visits, the seating hosts and waiters have performed their jobs promptly and courteously, and the chefs have cooked our foods well. Some of our favorite foods are the baby-back ribs and ahi poke. I also thought that the power bowl with shrimp and the sirloin tri-tip with shrimp scampi tasted good. read more

I came in for lunch with my parents on Thursday, 2/6/25 around noon. I was worried it was going to be packed, but it wasn't, we were able to get a seat right away. Romeeca was our server and she took great care of us. Our drinks were never empty and she was personable. We all took advantage of the $13.99 Pazookie deal, which really is an incredible deal! An entree and a small pazookie for $13.99! Mom got chicken tortilla soup (upgraded to a bread bowl for $2.99) and the tomato mozzarella salad. Dad had the piadia (that could be the wrong name). But it's a flatbread with chicken, bacon, cheese and a side of ranch to dip in. His lunch came with a side soup or salad too! He got a salad with honey mustard dressing. I have the Mediterranean chicken bowl. And I absolutely loved it, it was delicious. For dessert, both parents had the triple chocolate, Pazookie and I have the strawberry shortcake Pazookie. SO GOOD! I can't believe I forgot to take pictures of everything Can't beat the price, for the amount of food you get. And everything was delicious. We don't have a BJ's close to us where I live, so it's a treat when I find it out of town. read more

Went to celebrate last night and we were extremely disappointed in our experience . We came in well before closing and even called ahead to ensure the kitchen would open for adequate time so we wouldn't be a burden! The restaurant was mostly empty aside from maybe 5 tables. It took about 10 minutes for us to be greeted by our server, another 15 for our drinks to come out. By the time we got our food we had been sitting there for close to an hour and half the food luke warm and fries were cold. When said we'd be brought new fries they didn't arrive until all the food was gone and we were ready for the check. Any request took at least 15 minutes so we just stopped asking. Justin was an amazing server. He checked on us and all the tables around us every time he walked by. This is especially noteworthy given the fact that good help is hard to find. It makes you appreciate good service even more. I love the crispy fried chicken sandwich. It was moist and crispy at the same time. I am completely dissatisfied with the burger sliders that I ordered. The website states that they have lettuce, pickles, grilled onions and ketchup on them. I received a dried out piece of meat on all of them with a little dab of ketchup on the bun. That's it! There are absolutely NO grilled onions anywhere to be found and the lettuce and large pickle slices are just thrown in the to-go container - they are not on the burger! This is such an utter disappointment I don't know what to say. I will obviously never order these again. read more

I usually enjoy BJ's, but I usually get bar food (burgers, pizza). That is always a good choice. Tonight I tried the prime rib special, since it is offered only on weekends. Big mistake. It looked nothing like the picture that was shown on the online menu. I wish I would have snapped a photo. May have been the thinnest piece of prime rib I've ever seen. And I asked for medium rare and was closer to medium, something you never do for this cut of meat. It was really strange, the top and bottom looked liked it had been reheated in a pan or something since it was totally browned; I've never seen anything like that before. Usually prime rib is served pink, especially when I asked for medium rare. I will say it was a good value at $35.99 in that it included a soup or salad, two sides and the famous pizookie dessert. But the disappointment in the main course took away any enjoyment from the value of the the meal. Next time I'll stick with pizza. read more

Not sending it back again, as I was done with my ribs. Pork chop was not cooked the whole way through, ordered mashed potatoes, they didn't come with the meal when delivered, by the time they did come I was done with my meal. This is usually one of the top three places I recommend for large groups. I brought a group of 12 without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us. The staff were super nice and the food is decent. They won't have anything that will blow your socks off but nothing is ever awful either. It felt like the whole staff was on their first week of work just off training and didn't really know anything about customer service let alone anything about the restaurant. No one could answer questions when I was booking reservations for a larger party I was left on hold for almost 20 minutes then tried again and still left on hold for 11 minutes because the host stand couldn't answer if they could accommodate our group size or not. Managers were extremely short, lacked phone etiquette, and in general don't seem to be very aware of how to be a manager. It wasn't like anyone was necessarily rude it was just like no one even knew what restaurant they were working in. Not a single question could be answered or even a general "im not sure but let me ask kitchen/manager/someone" Pair that with food orders that came out wrong (but took so long it wasn't worth asking kitchen to fix) and overall underwhelming plates I just don't think I could recommend this place to anyone. read more

I love this place! The service is very efficient and if you sign in on the app before you go, you can get put on the seating list ahead of time. My current fav is the chicken bacon ranch pizza. I've gotten it full sized and individual. At other places I usually have to ask for extra ranch, not here! There are plenty of toppings! Then if you have room, you need to order a pizooki. Our first visit to the restaurant. I ordered the Caesar salad, and it was good. I love avocados so I ordered the avocado egg rolls appetizer to go along with my salad. Of course, it sounded good at first and they were good, but I had wished I ordered something else. It was too many avocados for one dish (I thought). We had issues with gnats (fruit flies) at our table which was annoying but other than that it was a decent first visit. The menu has something for everyone. We picked this due to it being en route to our kayaking plans just around 2-230 pm and overall we were not disappointed, and while it took a little longer than expected we were pleased with our experience. We had some hiccups though. We ordered the couscous Mac and cheese balls and these had bacon and cilantro. We only noticed one and had asked for no cilantro. Our server Mikayla (sp?) was very kind and was happy to remove this from them. I stopped eating them when I realized they had pork so be mindful of this is something you don't eat. When we ordered our meals I asked for a mini pizza with bbq sauce, green olives, and chicken. Our server was great and asked lots of clarifying questions. Our server accommodated not having green olives by grabbing a few from the bar for the pizza and this was super kind. Somehow tomatoes still ended up on my pizza which was fine but just added an odd taste to the pizza although due to how kind she'd been I just picked them off and dealt with it. We finished our meals by having the sampler of pizookie and this was our best decision. I definitely recommend getting these; we did a caramel toffee, chocolate, and the strawberry shortcake. These were amazing. The cookies were cooked perfectly, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. We did think our server forgot us but it is more likely these take some time to cook haha, so expect these to take some time and definitely order then when your meal arrives or 10ish minutes earlier than you think you need to. Overall everyone of the employees we spoke to was kind, talkative, and engaging. The bar was abundant, and beautifully organized, giving the inside a nice aesthetic. There was a large beer selection and televisions all over to watch different things. This was a fun restaurant and the staff is accommodating of picky eaters, I would recommend you specify immediately what the special needs are. I would definitely be back here. Ordered the potstickers and did not know that cilantro was mixed in with the slaw that was on the side. I would of appreciated being told ahead of time and it was not listed in the ingredients on the menu. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and the manager, and they should've at least brought me a side of slaw or something without cilantro or a discount on my check, very disappointed in the customer service. As we walked in to this (not so) lovely BJ's, we were surprised by the pleasant vibe of the restaurant. Well, that was until we sat down. The server, who I will not legally name but reference as Greg Heffley wannabe, did not see too enthused to be waiting on us. We pride ourselves on not asking for much at all. We like the bare minimum, and yet, we did not even get that. Our very own GH wannabe was barely present throughout our dining journey. The food--kind of cold...and soggy. Portions were smaller than anticipated, especially with those price tags. Bathroom was completely trashed. We definitely saw a gaggle of girls vaping in there. The only reason BJs gets a 2...and drumroll please...were the pizookies (and they weren't even that good!). Overall, we stepped out of our very nice comfort zone to try BJs, and the main thing I leave this restaurant with is one question: "Why did we even bother?". I leave the Yelp community with one tidbit of advice. You'd be more satisfied (and spend less) by getting a BJ from your local hooker. read more
