This one was tough because you need a membership to buy anything, so we asked this sweet older lady that was checking out to buy our chicken, and she happily agreed. I tried to pay her extra and she would not take the money. Shout out to the real heroes... A whole bird ran $4.99, which means they are shooting a direct head up with Costco. How could you not respect that? My Head of Production and I got the bird, and drove to Woodgate park to film this episode of chicken wars. I found a perfect spot on the playground to rip into this tissi with my mule skinners. First off, this thing was a TANK. Especially for $4.99, this may be the price per pound champion. Overall, a solid bird. I can't complain, but if I could I would say it was a little dry, and on the first bite of the leg I got a mouthful of sodium. A lot of salt on these birds. It ended up ranking at a 7.75/10, which puts it #13 out of 26 grocery store chickens I have currently ranked. My ranking is purely based on taste though. Buying from online as they dont stock a lot of products. 4 days in still have NO TRACKING, they act like its top secret information. Want to take down older TV and prep for the new one, would be nice to have a delivery date. Also to get gas U need to show up at certain times only, long wait and no room for cars to wait, when they're filling the tanks U have to go around to other entry area. Buy in bulk and save some money. You are greeting by a friendly doorman who will be awaiting your exit to check your receipt. Throughout the store there are seldom employees to provide assistance so if you're a newcomer be prepared to spend some time navigating by yourself. The app shows coupons you can clip, and are applied to your membership card at checkout however that is false. There was also an issue with the scanners at self check out and only one person to go through nearly 10 self checkout stations, while only one assisted checkout is open. Dumb. There is one customer service agent who is extremely professional, however very clearly is needing an additional person at the customer service area as the line is long and we waited patiently with about 6 others who were also waiting for assistance. The bathrooms? Literally disgusting like so gross. Filthy. Full of dirt and bacteria, so gross I will never again use their bathroom. The gas station is a mess, always has been. This location has gone downhill quite a bit since it first having opened and sad to say but the only reason we got a membership was the T-Mobile savings. And I see why they're offering discounts on memberships if this is how they handle their company. Sad that they are letting their employees fend for themselves to save some money probably but the building is seriously suffering. I'm in Clearwater Florida at BJ's waiting to get gas after hurricane Milton. BJ's is the only gas in town so the wait to get gas is about three hours long just to get to the pumps; but don't worry, they have trucks lined up and they're refilling the tanks fast. A lot of people don't have electricity or gas so there's a line here for propane tanks as well but at least they have that option. Kudos to BJ's for making it possible after the storm read more

You need a better conveyor system for self checkout . You have a conveyor that an employee says isn't used to hold large shopping loads. This is stupid. Change the direction so that shoppers can scan and it goes to the end to be loaded when done checking out. They are bringing a separate cart to load, I have my toddler in the original cart so now I will need to unload her to. We have experienced missed items when checking out over this issue and I have considered dropping our subscription altogether due to your inability to make checking out easier for those shopping for more than two items. If we could leave no stars if we would. We ordered a tv. We were charged for 2. The delivery company kept the 2nd tv and started the return. 2 months later and with emails from BJ's stating we never returned the 2nd tv, now have said they closed the return without refunding our money. We went to the Better Business Website and there are tons of complaints similar to our. We will close our account after we find away to get our money returned. read more

picking up curbside order and had to wait for anparking spot and 2 different cars took spots and went inside. told employee who brought my groceries and he didnt like that i wanted to complain to a manager. he said "I wouldnt do that cause they might get towed". We recently renewed our membership thanks to a $50 incentive in the form of a credit. Our visit to the Clearwater store was not good. Here's why: The customer service desk had no idea how we'd get our $50 credit. She told us a gift certificate would be coming. WRONG! A second employee found our credit was available right away. In the store, I spotted an A.T and T display and a sales person touting the Dish network. We avoided him. Later, at checkout, an employee tried to get us to sign up for a credit card, and would not take "not interested" as my reason not to sign up. It took several "no.. thank you" to get her to go away. Then, as we made for the exit, another person wanted to talk about roofing or windows for my house. Geez!! Do I have to run the BJ's gauntlet to pick up some chicken? This is a broken business model that I don't see at Sam's, where we also maintain a membership. I'm honestly thinking about wearing a sign around my neck that says "leave me alone." Come on BJ's. ***WARNING*** I have never been to a BJs before but I had a coupon for the membership so I figured I'd try it. I told the rep I do not want the credit card. He kept pushing it and I kept saying I do not want it. I told him at least 4 times that I do not want it, I do not need it and I don't care about $40 credit you get with it. I DO NOT WANT IT. He tricked me into applying for the credit card. He had me enter all my personal information and I was like why do you need my ss#? why do you need my annual salary?? and he would say "for the card" which I thought was the BJs card because I SPECIFICALLY SAID THAT I DID NOT WANT THE CREDIT CARD at least 4 times if not more. then when I was done putting my information in, he said you will receive the credit card in 5 business days. I said didn't say I did NOT want the credit card????!!! and his flippant response was "you can cancel it when it comes". Well that's helpful after 3 hard inquiries on my credit report made my credit rating go down 10 points and if I cancel a card it goes down again! fucker!!! I hate this store, I will NEVER shop there and I am going in to get my money back for their stupid membership. they are PREDATORY and dishonest. RUN don't walk away from this company. I purchased one year membership, bj's never disclosed at time of one time purchase, they are keeping your card information on file so they can auto bill you annually without your consent. They need to disclose this information verbally to your face when you are standing in front of them making an in person face to face purchase. I've relied on BJs for long time since I was much younger. Haven't had good experiences in forever. This particular one in Clearwater Florida, is infuriating, prices keep going up, I was screwed over totally when card switched to new company to handle it, I lost 390 rewards dollars. I had documentation and still refused. Try get help at customer service your in line for over 30 min. Some employees are grouchy and annoyed when ask for help. Only Bright Spot is Optical Center the employees there are Amazing all of them. Last night I had email leave review so I did. I didn't swear or use any language like I did in this review when I said I was screwed with credit card rewards. No. It was for a stand Mixer, I didn't like it. The arm across machine over bowl is too low. While using trying to add ingredients was tough. Yes if u stopped opened arm then added but adding slowly while mixing I lost some then measurements off. Plus it didn't mix close enough to bowl so wasn't worth all that money, because their not cheap. So I explained it just like that. Well I got email today saying sorry their not using my review. Thought that was funny, neg review why would they want that?? Besides that the Gas area is a nightmare. Takes 30-40 min sometimes get gas because soo poorly designed. I've been shopping at BJs for a little over a year now, and I really like it. The prices are good, it's easy to get around, and I usually get through self checkout easily. Recently they added refrigerated options to their curbside pickup, which is a game changer. Basically you build your list on the app and submit it. Then they text you when it's ready, you drive up to a marked spot, check in on the app, and someone bring it out in a few minutes. I'll be using this feature constantly. A couple things for others to know about BJs: - It's a membership club like Sams or Costco, but they run discounts on it - You don't have to be a member to buy liquor or lotto tickets from BJs - They accept some manufacturers coupons, which is different than other membership clubs The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because their customer service has been hit or miss for me and they don't seem to have enough checkout staff when I'm there in the weekends. read more

To summarize...eh. Don't use the fuel perks that much and with local gas stations nearby and being signed up with their rewards programs I can't justify sitting in a line for 10-15 mins to get fuel and save $3-5. There is always a line at the pumps. We've seen people argue, enter the wrong way, cut off other drivers, etc. all over "saving" a few dollars. No thanks. We pretty much only stock up on toiletries and cleaning products at this store nowadays. We're also not fans of their selections of meats or produce so we mostly only purchase non perishables. Honestly if it wasn't for the convenient location and close proximity, we wouldn't have joined. Have returned items before and the employees are always friendly and accommodating. read more

My new favorite store. I now do 90% of my food shopping here. The meat selection is better and test fresher the the big guy down the street. The produce is also way better and you get twice as much as the regular grocery stores. The gas prices were lower than the local pump stations but now they run about the same. The benefit though is that you can get gas points and rewards offers of $20 off of a gas or food purchase. read more

I've been a fan of B.J.'s for more than 15 years, but my last visit on 12/4/20 was extremely disappointing. I can only give the store one star after this visit because of how lax they seem to be taking the Covid-19 precautions - even while the numbers in the country are at their highest, and Florida numbers continue to rise. Initially, when the pandemic started, BJ's seemed to take it very seriously, had someone diligently cleaning carts, had signs on the floor controlling the flow of traffic and to help guests stay 6 feet apart, and made sure everyone wore a mask when they entered. During this most recent visit, I saw a few customers either half-wearing masks or having them completely pulled down - in addition to some wearing regular bandanas that didn't seem to cover much. One customer had a mask around her ears but had it pulled down below her chin. she walked by several employees who said nothing to her - and even interacted with one of them - but no one told her to put her mask on (despite signs on the entrance doors and at various points around the store). The worst part was seeing BJ's staff members only half-wearing their masks. On this visit, I saw at least four employees with their masks not covering their noses, and some barely covering their mouths. One staff member was from the meat department (but out with customers), and another was from the bakery department (out in an aisle talking to customers). Not only are they all directly interacting with customers, they are touching and interacting with the food and items we are there to purchase. If they are so lax about mask-wearing in front of customers, it scares me to think about how they may be handling hand-washing and sanitizing behind the scenes. After looking through other reviews online, it looks like this wasn't a one-time event, and other customers have complained about their lax procedures. This is a real shame because there are some foods and products BJ's sells that my family really likes - but it is not worth risking our health and safety if they are not going to enforce basic public safety measures with their own staff and customers. read more

Really like the Dietz & Watson cold cuts and the prices - but PLEASE require your all Deli Counter Staff to wear hair nets and beard nets, if appropriate. Having to clip coupons is annoying and clipping them on the app is not a treat either. If something is on sale, please save the printing costs for flyers and just post a price on the shelf. Buyer beware- you really have to know your products and pricing, as many items, even with the coupons, are not a deal. read more

I will update this if BJ's actually responds to my complaint. I was there yesterday. Purchased a rotisserie. Scanned my card and they said it was expired. This store didn't open until April 2019. My card should not expire until April 2020. They said it expired in November. But the rules state if it expires in November that you get until the end of the month to renew. Charged me an extra dollar to purchase my rotisserie. Not ideal. I was mad enough after traffic and parking and walking through the store that I just bit the bullet and paid it. Customer service not helpful. I do not recommend this store. We will gladly take our business to Costco where they do not say our card is expired for no reason and parking and the store are better. Every single time I've had a question or needed customer service it's a complete fiasco. Today's incident caused me to write this review. This was the first time I tried to buy a propane tank for my gas grill. I was directed to pay at the liquor cash register and was told someone will be out back to get my tank. After waiting 10 min in the hot Florida sun i went back in to ask how long am I expected to wait. The rep got on his phone to inquire again. I could hear the response stating " he's on break right now". The rep then told me " someone is coming in now and give them 3 min. 10 min later , still nothing. At this point I went back to the cashier where I paid for the tank to just give me a refund. He responded I need to go to the member serves. When I got to the service desk, of course there are four people before me. After an additional 15 min and asking several rep to see a manager, I got a supervisor not a manager. Apparently that is not an option. After nearly an hour I don't have a propane tank but she gave me a $15 gift card. What a joke. $15 for the incredibly bad experience. I wish I gave the $15 card back. Just to show it means nothing. Costco is fair superior. I'll be canceling my bjs membership. read more

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. We were charged an automatic renewal fee 2 weeks before our membership expired. We called to say we weren't renewing. It's been a month and we are still trying to get the charge (now plus late fee) removed. You will be on hold for hours sometimes trying to talk to someone. I just got through to rep and about halfway through, my call was ended and a prompt came asking me to rate my call! I figured the rep would call me back since they have my number on file. Nope! Now I have to spend another couple of hours to try to resolve this. This will affect my credit report if I don't get it handled. The aggravation is just not worth it. Costco and Sam's Club have excellent customer service. Both have better quality than BJs too. read more

Brand new, clean, organized looking and fully stocked. I visited during their soft opening so the gas station was not fully operational but will be soon, new employees didn't always know the answers to questions and cashiers were having a bit of difficulty with the cash registers and computers running them and there was much confusion and traffic jams at the entrance/exit of the store but overall, very, very nice! I am super impressed with the lay out of the fresh produce and meats. There seem to be a lot more to choose from than at Costco or Sam's Club and you don't have to buy in gigantic portions, they do offer supersized bulk packs but you also have other options if you have a smaller family. It seems through out the store, there are smaller family friendly options. The aisles are wide enough for multiple shoppers and are in a grid pattern making navigation easy. I am excited to have this warehouse closer to home and am looking forward to shopping there as they iron out all the wrinkles that come with something so new. read more

The store is very clean and the staff is very helpful, and that's pretty much all I have good to say. I'm very glad I got in on the $25 membership a couple of days ago. The store's limited selections and poor layout make shopping here frustrating--a complete waste of time. I won't renew my brand new membership next year. I'd rather go to Sam's, which has a better selection and their own products from which to choose, and I'm lucky I know a lot of people who shop there. We've been members of BJ's for years. Dating back to New England at least a decade ago. The store has typical offerings but the service is well below a reasonable standard. Was sent on wild goose chase to buy propane and never got it. Got a refund instead after 30 minutes trying to pay and then watching a child try to figure out fill. Waste of my time and not acceptable. In store a lot a bad directions for product I was looking for. This store has a long way to go, don't know if will improve or not. Love the new BJ's Warehouse. Especially the deli. I save 40-50% over Publix deli. At first the layout was difficult but I'm getting used to it, just wish the wall aisles were more clearly marked. Love that they have bulk and smaller options both. Another plus is coupons. The missing star is due to the entrance and exit being the same door as it can get pretty congested at times. I joined during the promotional period so that was a nice savings. I currently also have a Sam's Club membership that will probably not be renewed due to the savings, quality and convenience of this store. read more
