I don't think I would come all the way to Alvik just to visit this store though. It is a bit pricey and there's not enough stock inside to really make it a destination. I like the look of the place and the general type of items they carry. I would just need a lot more to want to come back. To carry furniture and home goods, I think your store should be much bigger in size. I really would have liked to see a lot more inside the place even if it stays small and where it is right now. Currently, it just feels like a half empty "odds and ends" kinda joint. A very expensive one at that. I can't justify buying a throw pillow for 800 kronor unless it's going to make me dinner and tuck me in at night.

This whole place had a lot of different local items that were so cute. Some items included: jewelry, kitchen gadgets, backpacks/wallets, notebooks, cards, soaps, stuffed animals and other kids items. I picked up a handful of smaller items that didn't seem unreasonably priced. The woman working at the counter was also super cool, and asked if I wanted to get my items tax free and explained the process for when I go home and showed me details of how to do it.

The owner (who we met and was very kind) told us how he spent years traveling the world to find amazing artists and work with them to have their work fit in his gallery. Each artist has a portion of the wall with a piece of their work h going and a description about their methods/inspiration and 3 different sizes of their assorted original art. The owner knows all of the artists personally and gives great insight to the work when inquiring about them. I really love this concept for a gallery - developing personal connections with the artists to gain greater appreciation for their skill work. The gallery also features occasional exhibitions when the artists visit and their pieces are sold on larger canvases than typically offered. So glad I stumbled upon this place and I highly recommend anyone who appreciates art to stop in.

I have received some as gifts but had never visited the store itself until now. IMO this is a unique place in Sweden, or anywhere. There are two sewing machines right in the store, and everything is made in Sweden. The designs are delightful and the fabrics are workmanship are quality. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices! The dollar is strong right now and these items were much less than I thought they would be. When I'm gathering Items for a party, i'm usually always in a rush anyways. There's really not anything special about this store specifically. I just find that it's helpful being next to an Åhléns and a Party Land. This trifecta of stores usually saves the day when it's party time. I find that Lagerhaus is one of the best places in Stockholm to find something stylish without breaking the bank! The wrapping of a gift is just as important as the gift itself in my book and this store's range of items are always pretty cute. It's all about the presentation people! The customer service is questionable. We dropped by here on two separate occasions and let me just say that the second time was a better experience. The guy basically told my friend she can't try on the helmet display by the window unless she's buying it. Hello, rude!
