Amazing Jani burger. Cooked perfectly to specified temp. Best enjoyed immediately after the order comes out, especially because the bottom bun will tend to soften/melt away if you let it sit around (I wouldn't recommend placing a delivery order of this). Prices are pretty steep in my opinion but quality is high. Fries are tasty and well seasoned. Expect a bit of a kick from the burger and fries, but to me this was a plus. Sadly this place offers a limited menu. Hope they can expand to more sides and mains. read more

They said our order would only take ten minutes. After waiting for thirty minutes the lady only gave us our food after asking what was taking so long. After that long wait they forgot an item in our order. People who ordered way after us got there orders way sooner than we did. I decided to give their Midtown location a try after reading about this place on The Infatuation as one of the best burgers in the city. Their main locations are in Brooklyn I believe. There was no line when I ordered but the burgers take about 15 minute to cook after you order so be prepared for a wait a bit if there is a line. I tried their signature burger, The Jani, which is an interesting twist on the classic burger. Instead of the usual ketchup, there is a spicy chutney sauce. The lettuce is removed in favor of just a grilled tomato. They also have more classic burgers, but why not try something new? Interesting that they chose to use a simple sesame bun instead of a different type of bread (maybe a pita would have been interesting). Note that this bad boy is a CHONKY 1/2 lb patty. I definitely was full without needing to order a side of fries. Knocked off a star because I found that the sesame bun got somewhat soggy towards the end, and my burger was cooked medium well instead of the medium I asked for. Liked the burger enough but definitely would like to try the lamb chops next time. read more

The Jani burger! Man oh man. I've been wanting to try this spot for years now. This was genuinely the best burger I've ever had and so worth the hype. I got it cooked medium with medium spice. So juicy and flavorful - cooked to perfection. The mint chutney is UNREAL. Equally as good were the fries - they were incredibly fresh, crispy and flavorful with generous masala/seasoning. Service was very friendly. They made the food fresh so it took a couple of minutes but not a long wait at all. I will be having this again! Worth the price and they have a lunch special too. This place was good! Came here for dinner on a weekday afternoon and they were surprisingly packed! Great location at the Hugh so you can grab your food and then sit in a beautiful space and eat. We ordered the kebab burger and masala fries. The burger was good but felt a bit undercooked to me, but overall the flavor was awesome. Definitely the highlight of the meal. It has a real nice spice to it which is surprising given it doesn't give off super ethnic vibes. The masala fries were disappointing... wish we got the normal fries. This is a unique Halal Pakistani burger place with two other locations in Brooklyn. I would recommend coming here during lunch time because they have a nice lunch special which comes with masala spiced fries (or regular/sweet potato if you're looking to be less adventurous for whatever reason) which are quite tasty. The Lahori burger is likely one of the spiciest burgers I've ever tried. Real big patty with a whole lot of flavor though there was a bit of an odd chew (perhaps from the apparent Seekh kebab it is made from.) Would recommended for other spice heads. I LOVE THIS PLACE and the EMPLOYEES SO MUCH, the burger was so good and juicy and honestly one of the best I've had. Their sweet potato fries are so crispy and yummy whilst being flavored good. The masala fries are also so good and are spicy if that what's your into it. My vegan friend got the impossible burger which tastes as good. Their lunch deal gives you a good price for a good amount of food that is delicious. The friendly customer service you get at this place makes you like the ambiance more and being there, top customer service. Disappointing. I had the Jani burger & fries. It contained enough salt for my weekly supply, the meat was quite dry and not sufficiently seasoned. The fries were too salty as well. disclaimer - i went here about a month ago, so maybe they've ironed out some issues by now, but will probably not be returning anytime soon to figure that out. a friend and i visited the newly opened food court and placed an order at bk jani. at this point, there weren't that many customers (only one couple ahead of us, who had already ordered). while staff were friendly, it took a while for them to take our order and we then had to repeat items several times because of some issue with the system (?), including our add ons. maybe we should have been a bit concerned at this point, but i have always had very good food at their dekalb market location and moved forward with wanting to try this one out. because of my great experiences at this other bk jani location, i was really looking forward to eating their lamb chops again (which i highly recommend trying - again, at that other location). i made sure to place one order, and my friend and i were going to also split two burgers and an order of fries. we took the time to explore the rest of the food court and then returned to pick up our food. at this point, there was another group of people waiting to place an order (do not come here if you're in a hurry), and only one bag on the counter. the other couple before us had already left. we took the bag, which the staff indicated was ours. when we were already back home, we noticed that the order was completely wrong and not what we paid for. we received two of the same burger (we had ordered two different ones to try, including the jani), with no lamb chop in sight (which was one of the items, even, that i had repeated several times). at this point, i don't remember if the fries were regular or masala as we had ordered, nor would it have made a significant difference to have one over the other. the sauces were as expected and good; nothing to note there. we tried to call the restaurant to see what could have happened (there was no way the order could have gotten mixed up with someone else's, because it didn't seem particularly busy enough for this to be an issue...), but there is no direct number to call this location. instead, we were routed to the manager at the brooklyn bk jani, who was absolutely wonderful and addressed our issue to the best of his ability, even a borough away - i would have originally given this location one star, but i made it two because of this manager, who doesn't even work here, lol. maybe it's because this is a new location with less experienced staff, but making sure orders are going out correctly - particularly during a very low traffic hour - seems to be step one to building a successful restaurant. the food we received was okay (again, i prefer the brooklyn location for that as well) but the experience overall was already not a good one and the food wasn't enough to make up for it. hopefully management addresses these issues as soon as possible because with the layout and location of the space, i can imagine it being very popular once we are able to eat and congregate more safely again. read more

Definitely one of the Best Burgers if not The BEST burger in the area I've tried so far. If you're looking for a place to order a burger in the midtown area this place will not disappoint. The most recent burger I tried was the Backyard burger and it was grilled medium rare to perfection. The fries are really good and the tomato type sauce go great with them. You may have to wait a little while, but it's worth it since it looks and tastes like everything is fresh. Will recommend to friends and coworkers. read more
