I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the exceptional service of BK Jani at The Hugh, and I can confidently say it deserves every one of its five stars. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a professional atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a memorable visit. BK Jani's expertise truly shines through in every aspect of the service. The attention to detail was impeccable, and it was evident that a lot of passion and dedication goes into every interaction. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular, you'll feel valued and well taken care of. I had the Jani. And it was made to perfection. 1/2 of Black Angus beef, mint chutney, with raita and tomato. Just delicious. The ambiance at The Hugh complements the high level of service perfectly. The modern, stylish setting combined with a relaxed yet sophisticated vibe made the entire experience not just a service visit, but a delightful outing. I wholeheartedly recommend BK Jani at The Hugh to anyone looking for top-notch service delivered with professionalism and a personal touch. Five stars without a doubt!

TLDR: A fun food hall stop if you're in Midtown East! The chicken tikka skewers were fresh, juicy and flavorful. The masala fries always have a nice kick and crisp to them. The seating area is well done and not too crowded of an area.

It was good till the last bit!!!!:)

I told the male at the register I would write a review only if the food was good & he said "it will be "and he was correct. My burger was well done and everything taste fresh on it. I got the potato fries, which was also very good.. The ambience was very clean. I would highly recommend this location.. It was good till the last bit!!!

This place was good! Came here for dinner on a weekday afternoon and they were surprisingly packed! Great location at the Hugh so you can grab your food and then sit in a beautiful space and eat. We ordered the kebab burger and masala fries. The burger was good but felt a bit undercooked to me, but overall the flavor was awesome. Definitely the highlight of the meal. It has a real nice spice to it which is surprising given it doesn't give off super ethnic vibes. The masala fries were disappointing... wish we got the normal fries. Overall a solid place and will come back to try the other items on the menu.

I got a chance to see what's up at the new Hugh food court and I eyeballed BK * Jani as my first try of the place. The Jani was the main burger here, a thick and juicy beef patty full of flavor layered with a house spread and a grilled tomato. Then came the Masala fries, tasty and seasoned well but more OK than special. They got other items on the menu worth a try like the Lamb Chops, Beef Tikka, and the Lahori, a seekh kabab burger,

Pricey for one burger at what is essentially a fancy food court, but the burger is really good.

My favorite stand at the Hugh. Juicy, fresh and perfectly seasoned meats. The lamb chops are worth every bite.

We were thrilled to find two seats at the end of the bar when we arrived. As luck would have it, the two gentlemen next to us eventually left, allowing us to slide over and enjoy an even better view of the TV for the rest of the game. I started with a Tito's and club soda, but unfortunately, something seemed off--perhaps the club soda was flat. The drink just wasn't good. To their credit, the bartender took it back without hesitation and was very accommodating. I then ordered a Negroni after the woman sitting next to us highly recommended it. I don't usually drink gin, but this cocktail was absolutely delicious and changed my mind. Since we were there for several hours, we shared an order of zucchini and eggplant chips and happily snacked on them throughout the game. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, with a nice mix of ages and people enjoying the evening. We made sure to leave our bartender a generous tip since we occupied our seats for the entire game. Even though the Knicks didn't pull out a win that night, we certainly didn't leave defeated. I'd happily return for another game, cocktail, and fun evening out. And maybe even get dinner there. Little did I know there was another big room in the ack once you past the restrooms. They were having a thriving business there!

He was constantly busy zippin around but maintained a nice demeanor and made everyone feel welcome! Must orders of mine: the burger! Although small, it comes out piping hot and the fresh white onion between the bottom bun and burger is awesome because it doesn't make the bottom bun soggy and catches all the juices from the actual meat. Love subbing the fries for a Caesar salad! Standout appetizer is the fried zucchini and eggplant with tzatziki-- crispy, hot, juicy and I get it every time!

It featured a crispy, sugar-glazed exterior and a soft, chewy interior, topped with truffle cheese and served with a truffle butter dip; the pairing was superb, and it tasted great both on its own and with the dip. For the main course, I ordered the miso-glazed black cod. The flavor was flawless, and while the portion was small (which was acceptable), the pool of broth accompanying it was completely unnecessary; it was inedibly salty, so what was the point of serving it? After finishing the fish, I was left with a plate full of broth, rendering the plate unusable. Plus, it was overpriced; for this dish, you're better off going to Strip House Strip House remains the undisputed king of this dish in New York. A friend ordered the chicken parmesan. It was just average. Another friend ordered the short rib stroganoff. The flavor was decent, but it was far too rich and heavy. As someone whose palate is split 50/50 between Western and Chinese cuisine, I could manage only five bites at most. If you have a palate that prefers 100% Chinese food, proceed with caution on this dish. Friends ordered sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. These are dishes originally meant for low-income Americans to fill up on cheaply; there's no limit to how good they can be, but also no floor to how bad they can get. Both were on par with the average quality found in upscale restaurants. Honestly, these are two dishes I would never order myself. To sum up: the atmosphere was great. It's also hard to get a reservation; the place was packed when we had lunch at 2 PM. Aside from that monkey bread, I didn't feel like anything else justified the price or offered something you couldn't find elsewhere. I don't quite get the hype. Perhaps I just didn't order the right dishes; maybe next time I'll try the burger and the steak.

The Thick Cut Bacon (8.5/10) was sweet, crunchy, and cooked perfectly. The Wagyu Cheeseburger (7.5/10) tasted good, but the bun was too dry, dense, and oversized for the burger. The King Crab Rangoon (8/10) was packed with crab, almost too much for my taste, but the sweet chili and hot mustard sauces balanced it out nicely. The Espresso Martini (6/10) was a pretty standard espresso martini. The Long Island Cold Brew (3/10) tasted like cold brew mixed with vodka, which just wasn't for me. Service was fine overall (7/10). The highlight was the complimentary sorbet they brought out for my friend's birthday. The vibes were classic Hogsalt with dim lighting, old-school jazz, and a cozy atmosphere (7/10).
