The chocolates are beautiful and exquisitely decorated, plus use single origin, fair trade cocoa which had a rich flavor. The owner and creative artist was very pleasant and the shop is nicely decorated with some prepackaged gift items. I selected a 9 piece box of bonbons for a gift and was thrilled with the presentation and gift bag, plus I tried a cashew dulce bonbon for myself which had a delicious caramel filling with a cashew base layer. One of the fancier chocolate stores in town, I learned that they have chocolate bonbon making classes. This might be something fun to do when my mom comes to town, though it is pricey. I bought some chocolate for my friends who just got married (orange rind and dark chocolate) which was tasty. I was limited to one sample per person per visit so I was not able to taste what I got my friends ahead of the purchase. I got the feeling that the owner wants this establishment to feel high-class and proprietary to the brand--but I felt it wasn't welcoming or friendly as the rest of the businesses I went to around the square. It's chocolate. There are so many other places to get amazingly fancy and artful chocolates. As you eat a piece, you become Violet from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and begin naming every flavor like she did with that piece of three course gum! Not that spectacular, although the setting will make you think so. The chocolate is average not up to par South American Chocolate from probably Ecuador or Venezuela. The proprietor melts the chocolate and makes candies and bonbons or barks, adding almost tasteless additives of dried fruits and nuts. Don't be fooled because it looks so elegant. Jacques Torres, Valrhona, Bean to Bar chocolate in Central America, and Scharffen Berger; off the shelf or on the Internet is a better buy. Just another Prescott tourist trap. read more

So unwelcoming! I'm fairly new to Prescott, and have been running the 2+ miles from my house into town almost daily. I often have a dollar with me to buy an oatmeal cookie from Grandma's bakery. It was inexplicably closed today, so I continued my run and saw a sign for chocolate - good substitute! And, as a chocolate lover, I thought that this was a wonderful discovery to visit often in the future. I waited while the owner discussed her business with two women who were collecting a nice assortment to purchase. When one of the women saw me quietly waiting, she offered to let me go ahead of her. I told the owner that I had my dollar (all I had in my running clothes) and asked if there was some piece of chocolate I could get for that. After some thought, she said there was one item for a dollar, but that there would be 9 cents tax. I was going to walk away, but one of the lovely ladies waiting paid the change from her wallet! The owner took 9 cents from a customer who was going to make a substantial purchase! I wish that I hadn't gotten the chocolate. It wasn't that great. I won't be back. read more

In my opinion Tracy's chocolates far exceed Norman Love, my favorites are the gingerbreadand and amaretto bin bons are my favorites. The barks are just as flavorful as the the bon bons.
