    Grass with tree for shade

We love this pool with tots area and "big kid" slide. A bonus is the grass with lots of trees for shade.

Beautiful cts w rec ctr. Theres an outdoor outhouse by cts but u can always go into rec center. Parking right next to it. On a weekday afternoon it was empty.

    Pickleball courts

They have Pickleball! The courts are outdoors and at the end of the parking lot. It's well lit for evening games until 10PM. The courts get pretty packed some evenings. I am one of the Racquetball players that has transitioned to Pickleball in COVID times since it's an outdoor sport and pretty quick to pickup. If you play Pickleball too message me for a game! Never played? Check out a few you tube videos pick up some paddles and start hitting around. It's easy to pick up and addicting. By the way inside the rec center is good too and they have Racquetball and Basketball courts.

Has many activities to do! Updated beautiful interior. Staff is easy to work with if you have questions.

I was assigned a new shift and can now take advantage of the classes the Rec center has to offer for my toddler son. I love it here! The classes are so reasonably priced and they're educational and resourceful. My son is retaining so much from his karate class and from the colors and shapes classes. It's the perfect amount of fun and structure to prepare him for school in the new few years. I've been so happy with the front desk staff, the teachers, the facilities, and the cost. Feeling super thankful that I have availability to these now and recommend that if your on the fence with bringing your own child... bring them! You won't regret it.

Water works. Great place to take your children or grandchildren like I did. For a low cost of $3.00. They can play in the water all day.

Great place to bring your children on a hot day in Vegas. The cost is low. And they can swim all day. Bring your own food because the food there is very expensive. Family-oriented place. Lots of fun.

Let me start off with I LOVE swimming!! I'm a total fish! So when we moved to Henderson, a couple years ago, my husband informed me of ALL the public pools in the City of Henderson! Black Mountain Aquatic Complex is only open from around Memorial Day to Labor Day-ish so when it's open you might not want to miss it. If you have children of any age this place is a great way to get them out and in the sun for a reasonable price. They offer lots of lawn chairs, tables and grass for you to sit on or picnic. They allow you to bring in ice chests and your own chairs if you want. People even have birthday parties at the pool. The Black Mountain pool has beach style entrance and then gradually gets deeper. They have a sectioned off area that goes to about 4.5 ft deep for swimming. In the shallower area they offer a water jungle gym which includes a little slide and fire hose you can turn up and down. There is also a much larger slide that you can go on if you are over a certain height and can swim on your own. One of my favorite parts besides the nice salt water pool is the Snack Bar! They must put crack in their Diet Coke 'cause I crave it from there all winter long! I can't wait to have one next year! They do have a great selection of stuff if you decide not to bring food with you. The hot dogs are decent and even their turkey sandwiches aren't that bad. I mean we are talking about a snack bar at a local pool. I enjoy there nachos. They are horrible for me, but for a snack I enjoy them. They are simple, just tortilla chips, nacho cheese and jalapenos (upon request). The snack bar also offers ice cream, candy, dill pickles, string cheese and chips. Everything is very reasonably priced. I look forward to the pool opening back up in the summer. I love to sit out in the sun there and sip my diet coke! Then take a dip in the pool! Ah, that sounds nice!

    Doggy play and paddle...great event!

Great little neighborhood pool with waterslide. For $5 a dip, you can't go wrong. Summertime just the way you remember it.

Fitness gyms are in no short supply these days, as you can seemingly spot one every few blocks in the Las Vegas valley. With so many options to choose from, relying on reviews becomes of utmost importance. It will be important to use this review in conjunction with reviews from other locations, as a tool to narrow down which Anytime Fitness you'd like to join. They are all nuanced with differing amenities and features undoubtedly suited for quite the range of personnel. I first experienced Anytime Fitness in 2022 when my extreme irritation with overcrowded gyms reached a fever pitch level. In addition to a less crowded environment, Anytime Fitness offers one glaring amenity hinted by its name. It's open twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. With four locations in Las Vegas alone and 2,806 locations across all fifty states, the combination of numerous locations and hours of availability rank high on the initial customer service seduction scale. I've been reviewing gyms for decades. I grew up working out with my parents using several different gyms, implemented numerous rigid workout plans in the military, and have been a member of no fewer than 20 gyms in my fitness journey. I've seen well maintained gyms as well as holes in the wall that are called gyms. My fitness background combined with a diverse gym experience will guide you to making the best choice of gym to belong to. Upon entering Anytime Fitness on Horizon Ridge Avenue in Henderson, Nevada, you are greeted by smiles and salutations from the friendly staff. Whether they say hello while sitting at their desk, or during your workout, it is bound to happen at some point before your workout is over. I arrived just the other day and the staff were busy with a group class which was offered every day of the week. Even though the staff were busy, they still managed to waive to me as I passed by the group class. This gym takes pride in the things that matter. The equipment is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms, showers, and common areas are cleaned daily while the crowd level is always at manageable levels. I've been attending this gym for four years and have yet to wait for a piece of equipment. Personally, the hours of operation are the most attractive quality of this gym. I never have to worry about whether the gym is closed because it is never closed. It's open all day, every day, and on holidays. While all locations of Anytime Fitness are not staffed after normal business hours, safety may be your first concern. The entrance to the gym is controlled by an application on your smart phone. Only members have access during normal and after hours. In addition, the gym is equipped with a wall mounted safety button that automatically calls 911 if you ever feel your safety is in question. For immediate health concerns, there is a defibrillator available as well. The gym is located in a nice part of town where crime rate is low. Having the aforementioned safety features in addition to a low crime rate make the business hours more enticing from a safety standpoint. I briefly mentioned the condition of the equipment. It is also important to discuss the type of equipment available. This location affords a very accommodating free weight area. The dumbbells range from five pounds to one-hundred pounds. These are weights that not only satisfy your regular gym goer but also limit the fanatics from joining this gym. I realize it's a valid concern to be working out with giant men who are trying to push the limits of what a human body can do while juiced up on any and every performance enhancing drug. I get it; that can be very intimidating. This gym is designed to welcome the regular fitness seeker with a welcoming, motivating, and comfortable atmosphere. In addition to the dumbbell range, Anytime Fitness has three free squat racks. In my experience squat racks have always been the bottleneck at every gym I've been to. With this gym being smaller, having three squat racks is a phenomenal member to squat rack ratio. Other gyms that are much larger only have one squat rack. If free weights aren't your favorite workout medium, this location offers several machines to target every body part. The machines are also arranged in a manner suitable for circuit training. Cardio options are also available with treadmills, stairmasters, rowers, ellipticals, stationary bicycles, and rope simulators. If all of that doesn't suit your fancy, as mentioned, group classes are offered daily. These classes are instructed by the well-informed staff in a motivational and safe manner. The classes vary every day to preclude any sort of monotony accruing, while maintaining your focus and determination to achieve your goals. Group class members can track their progress with the Anytime Fitness application as well

After I pointed out what I believe to be fraudulent charges and requested a refund, the manager refused to help. When I became understandably upset over being charged far more than my $10 monthly membership fee, they used my reaction as justification to ban me from the property instead of addressing the billing issue. As a result, I was forced to involve my bank's fraud department to recover my money. My bank informed me that I am not the only customer they are currently assisting with unexplained charges originating from Planet Fitness. Rather than taking accountability or offering support, I was left to navigate the situation on my own. It is incredibly disheartening when a fitness facility fails so fundamentally in areas as basic as billing transparency and customer service, both of which should be non-negotiable expectations for members. Thankfully, there is a new EOS location that just opened down the street. For your own sake, I strongly recommend avoiding this property.

Brittany at the front desk said that I could sign up for a three-day trial at any time and then sign up for a membership afterwards. I chose their 6-month membership option just to get the feel of how I would enjoy camp in the near future. After my three-day trial, I'm happy to say that I am now an official member of Burn! I go to this one in Henderson because it's so close to my house. I am a super busy full time college student on a tight schedule that has never found the time to workout at home, so being a member of Burn helps me find the time to get a 45 minute workout in. I can just book any of their camps through their app. Initially I had planned to attend camp three times a week, but after realizing that the workouts make me feel good and stronger, I decided that I wanted to show up every day, except for Sunday's because they are closed then. A former coworker of mine is also a member of Burn (whom I used as my referral name when I signed up), but she goes to camp SUPER early. Unless I can wake up for their 5:00am camp (which is downright impossible), we can start going together lol. Though I am not a parent (and will never be, for a long laundry list of reasons), I really like that they have complimentary childwatch for all their members. It's super convenient for parents that can't find or don't have anyone to watch their kid. They are simply placed in a separate room away from the floating floor until the workout is finished. Dylan has been my trainer since my very first day at Burn and he has encouraged me to work harder and stronger, though I've had Renaldo and Tyler as my trainers as well. My workout peers are inspirational and I'm looking forward to meeting other trainers and building new relationships with my peers down the road. I'm proud to now call Burn Boot Camp my new home away from home!
