Fantastic small town, local "Pub"... Bar in the front and Bar / Restaurant in the back... Great to visit my Car, Bike or Boat.. Food is fantastic.. Can't go wrong with the seared Tuna App and a Pizza. Beer is always cold and the staff is super friendly and attentive. Cassie and Alissa make me feel like Norm from cheers. Always have a cold Miller lite on the bar before i sit down. Nice new owners about a year ago that have improved the menu and expanded the hours. Came by kind of late on a Tuesday. So had a very limited selection for menu options. Ok I get that. So - Fried anything or nachos that was it. Ordered a Mich. Ultra - never said bottle or draft. Didn't care. She gave me a bottle. The beer was Luke warm at best. So then I chose the Nachos. OMG. What is that stuff they call cheese!?!?!!! It was the texture of hummus and the color of a banana milk shake. Bad taste - very bad - and worse texture and smelled awful. WTF!!!! Nachos were NOT good not even a little bit!!! So then I asked about the warm beer. No apologies or effort to resolve it. Just a - "would you like another one?'" I asked if it could be cold I would. She said you wanna try a draft instead!? So I said again - as long as it's cold - OK. It was warmer than the first one. WOW. So disappointed. Service was not great. But it was late. I hardly touched the Nachos. No questions - were the nachos ok.m? Or Would you like a to-go box. No concern as to why I didn't eat them. Just threw them away. But my bill was full charge. 2 beers and the nachos. Blackbeard's Tavern is a close quarters seating and small bar with a local vibe which has great tasting food and cold beer at a great price, friendly and personal staff who make you feel at home even if you're a tourist. The food is fresh and full of flavor, I originally ordered the Lobster roll and they said they were out so I ordered the smash burger the first night, well fortunately they found a (Hot) Lobster roll and ended up giving it to me at no extra cost which was a great treat! So my son and I wanted to try some where new tonight and I'd seen Blackbeards and thought it would be nice to try and sit outside along the "creek." Well the outside seating def isn't along a creek it's on the side of the building and it's not much so we sat inside. Once inside Caroline our server was so nice and friendly and she's pretty much the only reason thy are getting any stars. So we ordered the moon mozzarella for an app and it was good but just thicker sliced provolone slices cut in half and not very evenly and only 3 half pieces for $13...then online entrees are listed as coming with a side...yeah that no longer happens and you have to buy a side if you'd want one. We went with a pizza...just the 12" cheese and my son got three toppings on his half and I got 3 on mine...well toppings were $1.50 each so normally it's half that price when it's only on half....well not here so a 12" pizza cost is $21!! Also their pizza sauce has some spice to it so I'm sensitive to spice so I barely made it through one small slice. We will not return here and I'm very disappointed in how they advertise verses how it really is when you're there! read more

Stick with the pizza. There is no dinner menu. I ordered a flounder basket, received 1 small piece, 1/8 cup of slaw and a side of onion rings. No hush-puppies nor bread. BBQ sandwich was less than warm. No additional sauce was offered nor available. Catsup and hot sauce on our table were empty. What I received was not worth the price. Staff was doing their best. Popped in here for a quick bite after Bath Fest. The restaurant has a bar/tavern feel, so definitely lived up to their name. Service was good, the server was very nice and friendly. While not exactly a gourmet spot, the food was solid with big portions. My girlfriend had the chicken parm pasta and I had a meat lovers pizza. On Wednesdays they have BOGO pizza night which is an excellent deal. We both had crushes with our meals and would get them again. This isn't a spot I would go out of my way for but if you are in the area it's worth popping in for a quick meal. read more

Third time trying this place and we are done. $42 for a small cheese and a 16" with pepperoni/hamburger/green peppers/onions. Pizza had 7 green pepper slices on it, 3 tiny onions, hardly any hamburger. If you are gonna charge that much make it worth it. We would rather drive 20 mins to Washington than 5 to here. read more

We enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. We ordered the kids Mac and cheese for our youngest who enjoyed it. (It's a Kraft style so it's what they're used to) Pizza, a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and a side salad with mahi mahi. All three were delicious. The chicken was soft, seasoned and grilled to perfection. The mahi mahi complimented the salad well. Definitely recommend and will be back. The mermaid water was as yummy as it looks. read more

Is is the best food you'll ever eat? No, but the pizza is fresh and hot, the burgers are massive and tasty and the beer is cold! Located adjacent to the water, if you choose the correct seat you can watch the boats on the water. The appetizers (try the pickle chips) are tasty and the service was friendly with a smile. If you're looking to go out and have drinks and listen to Live Music, this is the place to go. Friday/Saturday nights have Live Music on the back deck and a DJ inside, after 7pm. Staff here are great! Typical bar food on the menu with a Huge Beer menu (40+ draft beers on tap). Mixed drinks are always on point. We've noticed the crowds on our way through Bath and figured something special was happening. We came last night. I ordered fried shrimp and my wife got a burger. The shrimp were large and lightly fried...perfect. The burger was, well it was a burger, but the house made chips were outstanding. Great bar, wonderful atmosphere, attentive staff, good food. We left just in time because some people tend to forget their manners and their language.
