Not all of it is organic though. Even so, although you might pay a little more than at Giant Eagle, the produce here is way better. I don't know--I guess fruit and veggies are always better when they have flavor. And of course, it's always fun schlepping home a shopping bag full of produce and my briefcase on the bus.

The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. The staff were very friendly and well versed in the products. Ample parking. If you miss the GPS turn, make the next right and come in through the back of the parking lot. They have farm animals, a vintage store, hayrides, pumpkin patch, little market, and then a coffee truck, Mars Farmhouse Cafe pop-up, and a brewery pop-up. They also had a corn maze & corn pit for the kids. It was very nicely set up and will be definitely be going next year!

Fridays only in May, then Things start rolling in June-August. Best part, this goes until November; it's covered, mostly enough parking except be prepared when corn season hits. Last Friday, the first market, Janoskis brought, French carrots, fennel, Sorrel, plants, tons of lettuces and cabbage- just to name a few. The AMAZING wood Street Bakery had their fresh breads, cinnamon rolls- so much good stuff that's hard to choose! And a new vendor came selling beautiful tulip bouquets. We only picked up a few veggies and fruit, all fresh and crispy, though one of the ears of corn we got had some smaller kernels compared to the rest of the bunch. Also managed to get some baked items, some gifts to take home, plus freshly cooked chinese dumplings! Besides the fresh veggies, these were a highlight considering there isn't much local asian food to choose from and definitely some of the better made dumplings I've had. Not too salty and not too oily. Great place to pick up a quick dinner or some last minute veggies.
