Blackbird was our first stop in Naples after returning home from my fiancé and I's engagement! We sat outside and had beautiful weather, but the shades and fans were a nice touch to keep us cool. The staff was so kind and celebratory with us, starting us off with two glasses of prosessco. We ordered a variety of apps, foods, and cocktails - everything was incredible! We appreciated how the food came out timely and one after the next, spaced out perfectly by our waitress Gaga (she was amazing)! Our favorites were the dumplings, short rib noodles and the espresso martini was to die for!! Everyone's desserts around us looked fabulous but we were too stuffed to for more this time around. We have already booked our next reservation and look forward to going with a larger group to try even more of the menu! Blackbird is at the top of our list - highly recommend blackbird as an intimate date night spot or with a larger group to sample a little of everything!

Ambiance was a 10/10, service was excellent all of the food came out speedy quick, really enjoyed the drinks, appetizers, and dessert. Dan dan noodles not mind blowing or particularly spicy was just ok. Overall 4.5 stars would highly recommend for drinks, sharing some small plates and of course dessert :) the presentation of the Thai tea creme brûlée was as lovely as it tasted!

Had a night and day experience at Blackbird this weekend! The hostesses smiled and welcomed us in and sat us immediately. Tatiana, our server, was bubbly, smiley, attentive, and even cracked some jokes with us. From a welcome back when we said we've been before, to a thank you for coming back when she dropped the check. The wonton soup and egg rolls were delicious. The truffle salmon crispy rice were very good. I'm not a lover of cilantro, but it was easy enough to scoop off under the salmon. As a non-seafood eater, and eating it in little bits, the salmon was very good. The crispy rice was nice and crunch and had good flavor. We shared the Lobster Garlic Noodles, and (again) as a non-seafood eater (trying to be a seafood eater), this was delicious. There were chunks and hunks of lobster meat, 3 claws worth at least, and probably a whole lobster's worth. The garlic noodles were very garlicky, and I enjoyed the xo sauce. The only downside of the whole night was that the fortune cookie on the blackbird martini was a little stale, but the flavor was still good! Ambience wasn't as loud tonight, even though there was not an empty table to be found. Great job, Blackbird! Truly was a complete opposite experience than my initial visit!

This night our food and service was even better than before. Faves and regulars menu items to order now. The Thai beef jerky, the bone marrow and short rib dumplings, the sticky short ribs (best ever) and the generals tikka masala chicken. So good fresh and crunchy the yogurt sauce is delish. We had the year of the horse this time and so good. Seems like it would be heavy but it's super light and so yummy. We will be back!!

Decided to check out Blackbird during my visit after seeing it while searching for high-end Asian fusion restaurants. Parking is complimentary valet only, which was convenient. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as the restaurant can get quite busy. The food was very flavorful and well prepared, and the drinks were excellent. Overall, it was a great dining experience and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Yes. Don't wait any longer; book a reservation and get your ass to Blackbird! We didn't know how busy this restaurant would be. When we saw they offer happy hour through 10 PM on Mondays, we assumed that must mean it's a slower that night for them. Nope! There was a line almost out the door and standing room only in the bar room. Without a reservation and not wanting to wait an hour, the staff explained that we were more than welcome to sit outside and order drinks and small plates from the waitstaff out there. That seemed perfect for us as it was a beautiful night with the breeze coming off the waterway, and the heater keeping the chill off. We sat and ordered drunks and a couple appetizers to share. It was lovely. My favorite plate of the night was the Japanese eggplant and burrata. I did not know what to expect, but I can't wait to get it again. Though I want to experience a full meal inside sometime, I was more than happy with my experience and would excitedly go back for another happy hour spent outside.

What a great night at Blackbird ‍ in Naples. Food was amazing short rib bao buns , crab rice and the star Peking Duck sourced from a friend's farm in Hamburg PA. Always packed with action Blackbird doesn't disappoint.

This was my first time at Blackbird and it definitely lived up to the hype. We arrived around 4:45 PM and were able to snag a table in the bar area. We ordered off of the Happy Hour menu: Korean pickles, chicken lettuce cups, crispy tuna rice, short rib dumplings, pork wontons, and Year of the Horse dessert. Everything was delicious. Our favorite hands down was the short rib dumplings. The only appetizer we wouldn't get again would be the tuna poke crispy rice. The tuna was a little too minced and the rice a little mushy. Our server was wonderful and helpful. The atmosphere was beautiful. The bar had standing room only by the time we left. Definitely recommend!

Yes this place is 5 star but it's most definitely with it. My friend she made reservations for us and I must say I'm soooo glad she did. When we arrived we came 10 minutes before our reservation and we still ended up waiting 20-30 minutes. They basically can't seat you until someone leaves. The manager noticed we been waiting longer then usual and once we were seated came over and offered us two free appetizers as an apology. Now this is what I call great customer service. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of the items on the menu. As you look around you see people taking pictures and of course a lot of date nights. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I also noticed they have a happy hour special at the bar as well. We got large plates and drinks and shared them amongst the three of us. This place is right off the water and is definitely worth the money. FYI I love the duck fried rice

The Mrs had this restaurant on her list so we scored an early(4pm) reservation and so happy we made the trek from Pine Island into Naples. Everything from the food, drinks, setting, and service was top notch Everything is served family style so sharing is the appropriate approach in my opinion. Everything we had was very tasty and original with outstanding presentation and great timed based delivery of what you order. We have already booked a reservation for the end of the month! Highly recommend

Really wanted to like this place based on the Yelp reviews, which rarely ever let me down. Giving it four stars because I only had the happy hour menu, and sometimes restaurants don't serve their best dishes on happy hour, so I will go back and try something off the main menu. Food was actually a 3/3.5 in my humble opinion. I'm also from Orlando, so big shoes to fill. We got the short-rib dumplings, which are just terribly dry and flavorless. I think it would've been better as a pan-fried dumpling, or even a steamed dumpling. We also had the worst edamame I've ever had, extra saucy, and the char was actually off-putting. The noodle dish we got was overly sweet, and again, just lacked the flavor I had read about in the Yelp reviews. (Bangkok Street Noodles) The inside and the ambience get five stars: sheik Miami vibe, dark. Also loved that they had a large bar area with first-come, first-served seating and tables. The drinks were delicious, and the creativity that went into preparing and serving them was impressive.

How do you beat happy hour with expertly crafted half-priced drinks and delicious discounted food in a gorgeous NYC-dining level setting? We arrived at opening on a Sunday night, and there was a line of guests waiting to be let in. Within 15 minutes of being sat, the entire place, including the outdoor tables, were full. Highly recommend making a reservation! There is bar seating just in case but it doesn't give the same jaw-dropping ambient experience. As we were not quite hungry yet, it was nice to just order drinks and enjoy those while waiting for servers to tend to other tables. Despite the busyness, we were still taken care of quickly and attentively, without any servers being overbearing. The manager even came by to see how our meal was, which was a classy touch. Two drinks each: I got the Kill Bill, which was one of my all-time favorite Mezcal-infused drinks, and then followed that up with the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon -- the server sold me on that by saying it "tasted like Christmas." Enough said. My mom got the Crazy Rich Asians, and it was perfectly balanced with vodka, lemongrass, apple, kiwi and cucumber. We shared 4 items, and loved them all: Truffle mushroom bao bun, Mongolian brisket bao bun, Dan Dan Noodles and Short rib and bone marrow dumplings. This place is getting hyped up like crazy, and it's well-deserved. Happy hour is Monday 4-10p, and Tuesday-Sunday 4-6p. Get on it.

We walked in to have a late night cocktail at the bar when "Sasha" walked up and very elegantly recommended a drink. I felt like we were greeted by upper management. The atmosphere is modern Asian. Just like the name. Upbeat and welcoming. Look forward to coming back on our next Naples adventure.

These were great. 5/5 spicy cucumbers and edamame

I ordered their so-called specialty: the Nemo's Ultimate Miso Sea Bass--advertised as a "legendary signature dish served with a citrus-ginger butter sauce and asparagus." It arrived at my table practically frozen. After sending it back, I ordered the ginger steamed snapper, which was completely flavorless and tasted like cardboard. The only saving grace of the entire night was the service and the wine (a Txomin from the Basque Country). Save your time and money. Do not eat here.

A Fantastic First Visit - Happy Hour Done Right!…read more I stumbled upon Lola 41 in Old Downtown Naples for their happy hour, which kicks off daily at 3:30 PM. I arrived a bit early - around 3:10 - and by 3:25 a small crowd had already started to gather, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Despite a little drizzle, people were eager to get in, and I quickly understood why. This was my first visit to Lola 41, and I was immediately struck by the space. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all. For anyone visiting the Naples area, I highly recommend making Lola 41 a stop, even if just for happy hour. Grab a cocktail, try an appetizer, and I promise it will leave you wanting to come back for a full dinner. This one has earned a regular spot on my list, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

The restaurant was empty aside from one other table. Entering the restaurant and taking a look behind the bar, we noticed a toaster oven and a microwave. We did not seem to notice an actual kitchen. We were seated immediately and we checked out the menu. Not your typical Japanese menu but, we are adventurous and we chose a couple of dishes to try. We both ordered a sprite. We were brought two glasses with ice and two, unopened cans of Sprite. Classy? For the cost of lunch for two here, I think not. Oddly, the restaurant does not give you free rein over your own soy sauce. Instead, they give you the little dish and they pour a little bit in it at the table then take it away. Interesting. We ordered the chicken yakitori appetizer. This comes as three skewers. Unfortunately, the cut of chicken they used was mostly fat globs and had a strange, chewy texture. $16. Not a fan. I ordered the sake salmon maki. It was made with brown rice and had little crunchy round bits on the top. It included a little ginger and about a dime-sized amount of wasabi. The sushi was good. Different, but tasty. But, $18 for a 6 piece roll. Lofty. My husband ordered the hon maguro tuna carpaccio. This dish is basically 8 thinly sliced pieces of tuna sashimi with a balsamic glaze drizzled over it. Good, but not worth almost $30. Again, way overpriced. The service was lacking and lazy, making us wait longer than necessary for our check and a little annoying by leaving us a business card clipped to our $100+ receipt. I don't know who is giving this restaurant high ratings but it is definitely not worth the cost or the quality of service. One and done.

We know this, and are therefore VERY careful about what we consume. We also tell our server up front as well. So, as soon as we sat down to eat, I began explaining to the server that we have some odd allergies. I cannot eat anything with turmeric, shellfish or tree nuts. My daughter has a tree nut allergy. Our server was very attentive and wrote down all my allergies to confirm with the chef. He came back and told me almost every dish has oyster sauce, so my only option was sweet and sour chicken and plain, steamed white rice. I understand that when going to an Asian restaurant that I often have few options. I'm not complaining about not having more than one option though I hope in the future they figure out how to make some dishes without oyster sauce. I'm also aware that many dishes have tree nuts, and so no complaints that I only had the one option. Our meals came out, and I began to eat my sweet and sour chicken. I noticed immediately that it was a weird texture. And then the flavor hit--it was shrimp. I began to spit it out of my mouth and immediately grabbed Benadryl. Thankfully up to this point with my allergies, I've not had to use an epi pen. The Benadryl has worked, BUT....if you have allergies, you know that each additional exposure adds to your body's histamine response. I always start with Benadryl and then have epi pens on hand as well. We brought the issue to the attention of the server. He was very apologetic and brought me a new plate of what I actually ordered. The server then didn't come back to our table until we were almost finished. There wasn't a manager or a chef that came to check on me. My father in law had to ask for the meal to be taken off the bill. Then they brought out two orders of donut holes as a consolation. As he set them down, he said, "These are not for either of you, they have nuts." So all of this to say that this restaurant is NOT allergy friendly. The ambiance was fine--clean and nice decor. There are a lot of people with allergies. If you are running a restaurant, expect to have questions about different food ingredients, and by all means, pay attention to what you're cooking and sending out to the dining room. I'm just thankful the Benadryl seems to have worked, but it could have ended very differently. We will not be back.
