I asked if it was necessary and was I covered, b/c if I had to pay I did not want it done. They checked with my insurance (or so I thought) and told me I was covered. Then, 4 weeks later, I received a bill. I contacted Dr. Luxl's office to express my concerns and needless to say they wrote it off as being my responsibility, not theirs, to check with insurance to see what I'm covered for. Like an idiot, I still returned for a procedure a few weeks later. With zero warning whatsoever, I was told the good Doc hit a nerve in my mouth. Next thing I knew, my face ballooned to the size of a softball and was significantly bruised. It took 4 weeks to heal. I missed work, could not eat and was never even told this as a remote possibility. The explanation? this has only happened to a few times in all of his years as a dentist. great, thanks doc. that comment was very comforting as I was on a soup diet for weeks. How did it happen? I must not have opened my mouth wide enough. bedside manner at its finest. and how long would it take to heal? oh, he couldn't say. that is outside of his realm of expertise. When you visit Dr. Luxl, do so with caution.

I wondered if it was to cover the screams of the patients. After 45 minutes of waiting, I was very overstimulated. The other 2 patients in the waiting room with me agreed. When I was finally escorted back, I asked the woman what was with the insanely loud music. She smiled and said, "We always play loud music." I waited in the chair for a few minutes, and heard the doctor down the hall laugh and say, "Well, I'll just turn it up, then!" He came into the room and asked how I was. I joked that I was a bit deaf from the music, but otherwise ok. I said that I had been expecting some relaxing spa type music. He said, "Well I've only had 3 patients complain about it in 5 years." I said, "Oh, well you must have some very kind patients who don't speak up about it." He said "It's a hippa thing." I gave him a skeptical look and said I'd been in many doctor's offices, all of which have hippa laws, and never heard loud music for privacy's sake. He said, "Don't blame me for your anxiety!" As another reviewer here said, VERY condescending. Medical conditions are not something a doctor should joke about, and even people who normally don't have anxiety are likely to experience it when faced with surgery. I said "I didn't have any anxiety until I sat through this jarring music for 45 minutes. Why are you such a D!*k?" I decided there was no way a man with this big of an ego and absolutely no willingness to hear other people's opinions was getting anywhere near me with a scalpel. I said "I think we're done here" and got up out of the chair. He started laughing to the women in the office across the hall. I said "Do you really think that's funny, or are you trying to save face with your employees?" He said "You can leave now." I assured him there was no way I would stay, and thanked the kind women in the office. The woman in the lobby said that her wife must be one of the only other three patients who complained about it in 5 years, so pretty doubtful that two of the three happened on the same day. I'm sure some people do love it, but those who don't should be able to express that and be heard, not talked down to and accused of a disorder. I don't care how good of a surgeon you are if you're not a decent person.

This is the type of service when I wish I could add MORE stars!…read more I have undergone many (sadly, too many) gum procedures in the last 5 years with multiple periodontists and NONE of them the even came close to Dr. Sierakowski's professionalism, friendliness, and technique. In fact, Dr. Sierakowski recently performed a procedure on an area I've had to do 3 times already (ugh!) and this is by far the most confident I have been in a successful outcome. Most of the procedures I've experienced before left me spitting blood for about 48 hours, not being able to speak, major swelling, and let's not go into my severe hangry phases from not being able to physically eat! However, Dr. Sierakowski's procedure was clean and virtually painless - I kid you not, no pain killers needed!! I'm not saying that's the case for everyone, but I think it speaks highly of his skillset! The entire staff is friendly and focused on your well-being. The atmosphere within his office reflects one where everyone seems to get along and wants to help each other. They are quick to respond, always smiling, and deserve every single star a review can give.

He finally went to your office , with a swollen face, terrible tooth pain... While you performed a dental exam, you made comment. "What happen to the crown." With prompting you gave him a Antibiotic, no Pain med intervention, and a dentist recommendation. It appeared like you could not be bothered. No worries. We found another Dentist ( Not the one you recommended) that hopefully takes the time and repairs the damaged tooth that you caused in the first place. We will never be back to your practice ever again.

Having limited insurance, I have not seen a dentist in years and it shows (broken teeth, cavities, missing crowns). This week, a crown broke off and that tooth gave sleep-robbing pain all night. I called Wahl when they opened in the morning; despite being a new patient, they welcomed me at the door within the hour. Susan, who answered my call, was there to greet me. We filled out paperwork and she let me know each potential procedure and cost estimates since she knew I was paying cash and couldn't afford anything major. This was done in an understanding, compassionate manner, not the "you better not stiff us, jerk" manner some care facilities utilize when they know you are uninsured. Dr. Peggy and her assistant got me settled in quickly. After a quick x-ray, my tooth was extracted. Dr. Peggy explained each step ahead of time, constantly made sure I was doing okay, and when I wasn't we stopped and made adjustments. Never once did she admonish me for the condition of my mouth. We solely focused on the issue at hand. Checkout was painless, where I was encouraged to look a little closer at my insurance and submit my info anyway to see if any of my appointment could be covered (I submitted this info via e-mail later in the day and received a reply promptly). Before I left, Susan came by with a card detailing the next few things we might want to do (standard checkup, complete x-rays) if and when I have the chance. She provided the cost for each as well, knowing that was a concern. The office is clean, professional, sincerely friendly, and truly caring. On their website, Dr. Wahl explains how his father took much effort to establish a practice that made a difference through their relationship with their patients. It shows. I've never felt more comfortable at a dentist's office. Highly recommended!
