This place is a joke! I walk in and am explained that every item has a price and a number 1, 2, 3, or 4 on the tag. The number is the quantity of that item you receive for that price. So if it has a 2 on it and $50, you get two of them for $50. Now I don't know about you, but I don't typically want multiples of exactly the same firework. I asked the guy what if I only wanted one and he said they would adjust the price accordingly, so a "2" item would cost 50% of the listed price, a "3" item 1/3'rd of the listed price, etc. Now why they cannot just put the actual single quantity price is beyond me. It would have prevented the asinine experience I ended up having. I grabbed a bunch of stuff, all single items, since again, I didn't want multiples of the same thing. The guy rings it all up and I can tell the computer is running up the full price (for whatever quantity, 1, 2, 3 or 4) and then he is manually having to discount it down to whatever the single item price should be. No surprise that after they run my card and receipt prints out, bunch of "3" items were not discounted at all, so I was paying 3x what I should have for that single item and that happened about 3 or 4 times on the receipt. And he incorrectly discounted one "3" item, charging me 50% instead of the 1/3'rd I should have been charged. At this point the manager is called over and I ask them to void the entire ticket and start all over. The manager tells me "he doesn't know how to do returns" and would prefer that I just grab some stuff off the shelf to "make up the difference". Then he proceeds to hassle with me on what price item would "make up the difference" and of course he low balls me. At that point I just grabbed something and left. The "make up" item was "4" for $15, which means it was really $3.75 since I only got one. I estimate they overcharged me by about $35. Basically just stay away from this shady business. I am still pondering doing a CC chargeback. Any business where the manager "doesn't know how to do returns" when I never even left the counter, is suspect. read more

Unbelievable customer service from April. I will definitely be returning here in the future. We went to red apple fireworks which was good then phantom which was way overpriced and I felt like the staff was following me around and it made me very uncomfortable then I came here and found everything I was looking for plus some extra stuff. They were having a very good Labor Day sale and my husband and I left very happy. If I could give more stars for the great service and selection we received I would!! Do not stop here if you're coming from Vegas. Go straight to phantom fireworks. They sell just the same shit at phantom for even a better price and deal! I got 6 items here at black jack for twice the price I paid for at phantom. And I literally got 6x more at phantom than I did here at blackjack for half the price. read more

this store is really not that bad and they do have a cool selection. the first time i visited was a good while ago i had heard about the stores in pahrump from a good friend of mine and decided that the next time i went to vegas i would stop on the way out and that was when ac/dc was on the black ice tour. flash forward til now, my last visit was on 6/15/2014, and you know what they still have a cool selection. so four stars. now.... my only suggestion is that the staff should do a little homework on the products and not have me look at a t.v. and right off the bat, you should know if you have something or not. i asked about 60 gram mortars and they did not know if they had them or not, so i was just taken straight to aisle. the girl who helped me was pretty cool (my bad forgot name) until she told me she was a raiders fan... why pacoima why... and finally.... with everything i walked out with, 4 mixed variations of mortar boxes and 2 12 packs of roman candles ill be set for awhile... its the city what can i say ill be lucky to finish off one box lol.. but the final price after the the discount was easy on my wallet and i still had enough gas money to get home after visiting the desert playground. if you get the chance check them out. read more

Went to Blackjack a second time on Sunday. Clerk was a young kid, not too personable. When it was time for checkout, he didn't know how to ring up half of what i wanted. Took so long i ended up telling him to leave it out and ill go to a different store. I wish the women manager was working, she is awesome! read more

Blackjack has doubled in prices this year , I took my trip down there today , been going there for many of years now. I had a ruff time with there staff , they over charged my card , and had to refund me cash. They was pretty lost. But besides that. I have some left over fireworks from last year. I pulled them out. Still had last years prices on them. Box of ( bad to the bone ) super magnum shells last year was 24.99 for 3 , now they are 44.99 for 3 , then I found some bad to the bone Roman candles , last year was 19.99 for 4 ,now they are 29.99 for 3 , is the economy doing that much better now , to justify doubling your prices ? read more

I know about BlackJack from FB but came on here to see their hours as they change throughout the year. I was kind of surprised to see all the negative reviews when they have a ton of positive ones on their FB page. I was just in there a couple weeks ago and was automatically greeted by a girl named Helen. She told me all the pricing (all of the other stores have the buy 1 get 1-2-3 so I wasn't too upset about that, plus they give you the option of only buying one or mixing and matching - something not offered by all the rest). They have new product in: SkyBacon, FireHawk, and another one I don't remember right now. I picked up quite a few of the new ones and some Ninja - didn't have any duds and the people I picked up for seemed pretty happy. Helen checked me out too and made sure I got my coupon discount that was printed from FB. Really, no complaints. I just wanted to write this because this store has been open for a LONG time and seems to keep improving each year I come down (been coming since '09).
