She was gentle, made sure I was comfortable and explained what she was doing. Everything was super clean and organized, she even has a TV if you want to watch a show while getting your services done. You can tell Melanie puts a lot of thought into her space to make it comfortable for her clients. I genuinely didn't know my eyebrows were capable of looking like this and Melanie did such a great job- both with technique and making your appointment feel like you're hanging out. However, my usual tattoo artist has been backed up due to COVID-19. I thought Plush would be a good choice for my next tattoo as I had quietly followed her work. However, I didn't research her well. When I inquired, I got a response and was asked to deposit within 24 hours, which is not a standard rule. Additionally, I received an invite to an app with a message from her. I tried to contact her through Instagram but got no reply. Despite these red flags, I still sent my deposit. The final straw was when she had a sale seven days later, and I requested to be included, but she said no. I've realized that I can't trust someone with questionable business practices to give me a tattoo. As a business owner, I believe a business should be careful not to alienate potential clients. The $100 nonrefundable deposit she received from me will cost her in negative reviews. She may be talented, but she needs to work on her business acumen.
