My local cab company and the people I ring whenever I am looking for a taxi on a wet and cold night…read more(or any other night I suppose!). You ring up this company and you wonder at the gruffness of the lady on the other side of the phone, where are her customer service skills? Where is the nice polite voice you expect to hear at the other end of the phone? Dundrum cabs customer service presents you with the following; "wha's your mobile number?" "gis yer address there" " wer ye goin to?" "wha toime dya wanna be picked up ?" Please note that no conversation from your end is tolerated at all! Once you have gotten through this ordeal however your Dundrum cab experience is quiet pleasant! The cab arrives on time (or some times before time) and you don't get brought around the world to get to your destination. The drivers are usually nice enough, never had many complaints there and that's it! What more do you want? (Besides a nice lady on the phone!)

The Aircoach which arrived every half hour at that time failed to show at 4am, and again at 4:30 and then at 5am ...it totally failed to pass again. 6:30 am flight, Q is beginning to get a bit concerned. So, nuts to travel budget I call the local taxi company - Sandyford Cabs, who have absolutely no one free. Picture it, it's 5:15 am, Q stands at the bus-stop waiting for the fictional Aircoach to take him to the Airport to make a 9am meeting in Lisbon. At this stage I am about to throw myself in front of passing traffic and hijack a car, bus, cement truck... anything to get me to my destination.... when the phone rings. A taxi driver has just been called from his bed at 5 in the morning to see if Q still needs rescuing, he does. 30 mins later I am at the Airport so grateful I am offering to have the guys children - all biological difficulties aside. Picture it. Q arriving to his meeting on time.... to find out it's scheduled for tomorrow.

After weeks of attempting to retrieve the correctly priced invoice the manager called only to tell me that I was word for word; being difficult. He was really unkind. They wrote a paper stub that was not accepted by my company for reimbursement, but could not reissue the acceptable invoice receipt which seems unusual. Continually telling me on the phone that I was being unreasonable. I have never been spoken to like that by a service provider, totally unprofessional.

Because I was with someone that is legally blind and deaf, these insights were his primary experience. Mossie made Ireland come to life for him. He was also very helpful and considerate in helping my friend navigate under these special circumstances. Mossie has also traveled and experienced much in life so can converse on any subject. We felt seriously lucky to have stumbled upon such a cheerful and multi-talented driver.
