This is kind of a hidden gem. Think big department store that you would find at the mall ... but…read morestand alone with it's own parking lot. They don't have all the same brands and household items you may find at one of the bigger mall based department stores, but they make up for it with friendly employees and a really good selection all at some really good prices. Layout is really crowded, they have so much stuff crammed in here you'll be turning side ways to navigate some of the aisles. Really good shoe selection with some brands you won't find at other department stores (good brands - as well as the other well known brands). Sign up for email alerts and you'll get 20% off one item coupons and things like that. Really good deal when you can stack that with the already good prices they have. Great location and great service. Highly recommend if you've never been to one of their locations.

Now, I'm pretty thrifty so I don't like the average $30 shirt but I usually find some great stuff on sales racks!

That being said it's kind of nice that there is room to walk around what they do have on hand. The Rainbow City location is so jam packed it can actually be hard to walk though and look at their stuff. If you're into team gear (Bama and what ever that other team is) they have a really expansive dedicated space for shirts, coats, hoodies, and misc gear. Just like other department stores they have a good selection of men's, women's and children clothing as well as some household items. Shoe department looks like they are still adding stuff in and will probably grow over the next couple months. Several spots to check out make it nice and easy .... plus help to keep lines down. Also, as of January 2021 you aren't able to enter on the Books A Million side, you have to park on the Belk/Food Court side and enter through those doors. Recommended for clothing shopping.

I have mixed emotions about this location. What's a little different, at least for me, is that this…read morelocation is inside of the mall in Gadsden. When you enter it has a similar look and feel to other locations I've been in. Men's clothing to the right and women's to the left. Kids in the far back of the store. What I did like, they have some stuff that you don't see at the big box stores or the other sporting good stores. The negative was that the one shirt, I actually really liked, was out of stock and the only remaining item was still on the mannequin advertising the product. Prices were on par with other locations, but they also had some sales going on that five a pretty good overall discount. The staff greeted us when we walked in and asked if there was anything they could help us with, nice touch. I guess the main thing is this place doesn't have a 'wow' factor. Not a bad location, three stars is classified as 'A-OK' and this place is just that. If I'm in the area I wouldn't hesitate to come in and check out what they had hanging on the racks.
