I mean, you have to do something at Hotel Sacher when you're in Vienna. And this tiny little intimate bar room is very fun. Maybe 4-5 tables total, it can be hard to get a seat, but you feel super Euro classy (or at least I did) when you're here. Drink prices are high, but it's a hotel bar at a very fancy hotel - maybe the only hotel that I think would give my Hotel Imperial a run for it's fancy money. They have an extensive cocktail list, plus all the usual suspects, this is one of those bars where you can basically get anything you want. Service is excellent, given the small audience. Very attentive, very knowledgeable, and the night we were there, very personable. He even gave us all Hotel Sacher pens, although I can't remember what prompted that...but I definitely still have mine.
I feel like this should be a bit of a checklist item. Go see a concert or an opera, and stop back here for a coffee/cocktail and some Sachertorte. read more
