If you wanted pineapple and bacon with red pesto and Shrek Dookie they would make it for you. Anyways, first the pizza. They had a lot of toppings. I can't remember exactly what I got, but it had onion. From veggies to meat to sauce this place has it all. And it was delicious. The service is EXACTLY like Subway, except sauce goes first here. Not much else to say on that. They had FOUNTAIN DRINKS, people. FOUNTAIN DRINKS. Y'know, grab a cup and make swamp water while the employees give you side eyes. EXCEPT THEY DON'T GIVE YOU SIDE EYES! HECK YEAH BABY! The atmosphere was like a combination of basic fast food resteraunts like McDonald's, and "viral" places like Dave's Hot Chicken. Really my only issue was my slides kept dropping on the ground, but that's more of a me problem because i'm really short. Blaze is still my FAVE build your own pizza joint around! I recently tried a keto crust here as an add on. The regular is still my fave but I wanted to give it a try and it definitely held up with all of my toppings and cheeses. I was pleasantly surprised to find the leftovers also holding up 6ish hours later. If low carb is your thing, you're in luck that you can make your dream pizza here with unlimited toppings for under $20! I'd like to try the cauliflower crust next time - especially if it's yummy and can sneak extra veggies into my carnivorous 8 year old, lol. Both my kids love Blaze. So many, many choices. What can I say, I like Blaze Pizza. And I've been to this location I think only once prior to the pandemic but twice since the pandemic began (once while it was closed to dine-in and was pick up only and once after the Restrictions Exemption Program began), and it is as I remember it being: good pizza, good service, and a nice seating area. Staff are really helpful (even though the automated phone system may not always be in the case that you forget something behind here and have to contact the restaurant to retrieve it... persist!!). My toddler appreciates the fact that they have high chairs that allow kids to sit at the table and interact. The soda fountain is great (and although I only ever get drinks from the drink bar myself when the agua fresca that I adore is available, it's great for the family to have options. They even have milk bottles available. My favourite menu item is always the Take Two (where I usually get a half build your own pizza and a salad). The cheesy pizza bread is good. And we really like the rewards program (though I wish that rewards wouldn't expire during this darn pandemic as we're really not able to eat out at the frequency that we once did, since toddlers still can't get vaccinated among other reasons). I got my pizza in less than 10 minutes with everything I wanted because the toppings were unlimited toppings. You have the option for each pizza at the end to add any addition toppers; didn't need any on mine. Sprinkled an excessive amount of crushed red pepper flakes onto my pie and it was deeeeeelish. The crust is honestly my favorite, you get the perfect balance of chewiness with the satisfactory crisp with each bite. Link In - ($11.65) - 5/5 - Loaded with bits of italian sausage, red pepper, onions and mozzarella with the standard red sauce - I didn't get to try this before bae drenched it in parmesan - but from what I tasted, the slice was really good. I couldn't help it, I saw it heating beside the fire and imagined how gooey and perfect the marshmallow would be and I was totally right. I hate thick pizza crusts which I feel eating dough so much instead tasting the toppings. The only miss is they don't have anchovies for topping's choice. My boyfriend and I love anchovies. This place was recommended to me by another Yelper, and so of course I gave it a try. I have been on a quest to find the best pizza in the downtown area and this was the sixth place I checked out. It's a small place in the mall near Loblaw's and I'd passed it many times before without going inside. It's bigger inside than I had expected, with a reasonable amount of seating. You order a pizza with a number of toppings and then choose which ones you want, and the pizza is then cooked while you wait. The default is thin crust but they have a thick crust option as well for extra $, and they do have gluten friendly crust option too. Due to cross-contamination though it does not sound safe for full Celiacs however. I ordered pepperoni and mushroom with a red sauce and the standard thin crust and it turned out to be absolutely delicious. It's about 10 inches in diameter, so you could eat the whole thing if you're hungry or save some leftovers if you're not. The crust was thin but not limp, the sauce was very tasty, and the toppings were as generous as you want to ask them to add. The price is also extremely reasonable. Of the seven pizza places I've tried downtown so far I would say this is my favourite and I will definitely be back! read more

This Blaze is located close to my work, so I came in to grab lunch the other day. The staff were friendly and wonderful, and the place smelled amazing. I don't know if it's just me, but I found the menu a little tough to navigate. I ended up just ordering the green stripe again. Blaze let's you add unlimited toppings of your choice, which is so amazing! But here comes the part that causes my mixed feelings. I am a huge fan of pineapple on my pizza (judge me if you must!) I was about to tell the staff member to throw a bunch of pineapple on my pizza, but I noticed there seemed to be something black all over the top of the pineapple. I don't want to throw the m word out here willy nilly, but it sure as heck looked like mould. The staff member then scooped a handful of the bad pineapple away, and proceeded to make the rest of my pizza with the same gloves. It is definitely my bad for not asking her to change her gloves, but alas, I did not, and felt put off about my pizza afterward. I heard about this place a little while ago and finally was able to give this place a try last week. I got there at about 7:30 pm and the place was not too busy at all. What a cool concept to let each person build their own pizza. You get to pick the crust and the sauce. I asked for red sauce and half pesto sauce and they didn't skimp on the sauce. Then the fun begins. You can pile on as much toppings or as little toppings as you like and they have a good selection to choose from. It's great for families as the kids can pick want on the pizza. It takes about 5 mins to bake in their open fire ovens. Then if you like you can top off the pizza with arugula and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It's so convenient and accessible with lots of parking and reasonable hours. If you have never been to Blaze, the overall idea is that they have set pizzas on their menu but you can also build you're own pizza. Blaze has several base sauces you can choose from including a standard tomato sauce, a spicy tomatoe and a white sauce. You get to choose you're meats, cheeses, vegetables and topping sauces. Pizzas are thin crust and get cooked in the fire oven while you wait. Blaze offers sit down dining or you can take your pizza to go. It's hard to write a huge review about Blaze and the experiences but, at the end of the day, the pizza is delicious and can be customized to your own individual tastes and it's affordable and quick. The staff at the end (the ones who throw your pizza into the burning fire) are also nice, but I've noticed sometimes that they don't really care or aren't overly friendly. There's a wide range of toppings, different sauces, cheeses, vegetables, meats. Since everything costs the same and toppings are all fair game, you can really build something extravagant. Since I'm boring I always just get white sauce and cheese, but not just plain old mozzarella and cheddar! Nope, Blaze carry goat cheese, feta, and blue cheese. Crazy stuff! The size of the pizza isn't bad at all, and depending on how hungry I am I'll either share with someone else or guilt-eat the entire thing to myself. The pizza here is really quite healthy, all things considered. I'm not exactly sure how they make their dough but I don't find it overly greasy and you can load it up with whatever veggies you want which is always a nice option. If you don't feel like building your own pizza, they have menu options that you can choose from. I believe they also have gluten free dough and dairy free cheese if you opt for those. If you like pizza, I suggest you give this place a try. They've got lots of tables, and there's ample parking out in the Brewery District parking lot. The woman in the front was kind enough to help me choose one and she suggested I get the Linked in (I believe it was called) which is sausage, red peppers, onions and their cheese with red sauce. The pizza was packed with flavor - a great balance between sweet and salty. It doesn't look like it can hold that much flavor but let me tell you it certainly can! The restaurant is set up like a pizza-bar so don't be alarmed when you see a long line of people, it goes by fast! And make sure if you want extra toppings that you speak up to say something otherwise you might be a little disappointed. Pepperoni meatballs and mozzarella cheese a very simple pizza with a very delicious taste and thin crust. Made in front of me in the blink of an eye and ready to eat in approximately 10 minutes. I don't even think it was that long. The only thing I would suggest to this restaurant is to turn the stereo down. You cannot hear the staff speaking to you while you make your order. I did mention this to them at the time and they did turn it down but not enough. It is not a nightclub is a pizza joint. Other than that I highly recommend checking this place out. I have had issues with them and their app. First time i chose the option for them to make me 2 pizzas so they will be ready when i got there. They weren't made when i got there. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Blaze yet! This place quickly became a fave for me. I love the build-your-own, Subway-style pizza shop. The crust is always lovely, albeit thin. You can pick whatever (and how much of whatever) toppings you want! Go for 'er! And Blaze has some especially nice toppings - ricotta cheese, turkey meatballs, applewood smoked bacon, sauteed onions, to name a few. It gets tossed in the oven, pulled out within minutes, gets a drizzle of whatever sauce you might like (and perhaps some arugula?) and you're out! 10 minutes and $12 later, you have a perfectly delicious customized pizza with fresh gourmet toppings.
