So this new pizza franchise opened up a few months ago in Mason that my good friend told me about. Currently, there are only 16 of these restaurants in the country but they plan to spread over 1,000 restaurants in the next few years! And I do not doubt that they will. You basically start with a thin dough crust, choose from 4 sauces, and then are able to choose a pizza off their menu, or pay $7 for all the toppings you want! If that's not a good deal, then I don't know what is. The pizza is a good 11" in diameter. They then flash bake it for 180 seconds! Awesome, right?? So I chose the white cream sauce with goat cheese, feta, and a little parmesan. For the toppings, I chose roasted garlic cloves, basil, black olives, bacon, sauteed onions, artichoke hearts, cherry tomatoes, and arugula! OMG all I can say is that this is arguably the best thin crust pizza I've ever had, and I'm from NY! My regular is grilled chicken, fresh basil and Kalakaua olives on traditional red sauce with mozzarella. On about three minutes, your pizza is not only fully cooked but cooked to perfection. It is absolutely the Chipotle of pizza and so darn good. They serve Coke products including Coke Zero, my favorite, along with some bottled items and water. It's a good thing that it only takes approximately 3 minutes for the pizza to be fired after your order is submitted. The staff is friendly and the decor is humorous. In regards to the pizza, the crust is thin, the portion is adequate for 1 person, and the price is fair. Overall, the pizza is good. TL, DR: I am a huge fan. Great for families and people of all ages dine in or take out. The restaurant: is a fun and friendly environment. Staff is always very nice, well kept, and provides great accommodating service. The employees are very young (I would guess high school/ college age)- which I love! You can tell there is some great leadership teaching kids the RIGHT way to do things and treat people. The employees really take the concept into their own hands and run the show. It is set up like an assembly line and you go down the line picking the ingredients you want on your pizza. After you're done your pizza is wood fired for just a couple minutes and then it is ready to enjoy! If you're taking it to go, they will put it in a pizza box. If you're eating there they will give it to you on a big metal plate. The food: is delicious and there are a ton of options. They offer two sauces white and red. I always get the white sauce and pile on the meat, cheese, and veggies. They have things like fresh basil, mushrooms, grilled or raw onion, italian sausage, pepperoni (duh), banana peppers, and way more. I seem to get a different combination every time and have never been disappointed. You are also able to get BBQ sauce or pesto after the bake (or before if you wanted but I always get it after). Also the sea salt will take your pizza to the next level- get it! Nutrition: These people actually know what they are talking about when it comes to gluten free. Too many times you go somewhere that offers these options and they are not well versed on what that actually means. Blaze has trained their employees to handle allergies with care and they have a separate line for people who want a gluten free meal. If you have an allergy I have seen them be very accommodating for customers- and they are always always gracious about it. "Traditional, Fresh Pizza...In 180 seconds?!" A few months back, we read the article stating a new concept in pizza was coming to town. I hadn't heard of "Blaze Pizza" before, and couldn't help but think about the tough times facing yet another pizza shop in the Mason area. I heard good things from some of the folks at work, so we decided to visit one Sunday afternoon. We were certainly not let down! It's a fusion of a sandwich shop and an upscale pizzeria. Menu boards convenient, so even the first timer knows what to order and how to order it. You have a choice of one of their signature pizzas, or create your own. Each pizza is priced simply: Cheese pizza is $5. One topping is $5.85. Anything else is $6.95. No per-item charges, just a personal pizza for $5, $6, or $7. I like it already. As you queue for placing your order, you see the dough master, tossing and forming fresh dough into perfect circles on an aluminum pizza pan. Ordering is easy - give them your name, and ask for a signature pie or build your own. If you choose to build your own, you just follow your dough down the line answering the questions as you move down: What kind of sauce? (There are at least 4) Meats? Cheeses? Veggies? Seasonings? You yes/no your way down the line, pay for your pizza and by the time you have your drinks, your name is being called to pick up the most beautiful pizzas I've seen since we were in Italy. The quality is supreme, the value is top-notch, and the atmosphere is really fun. Definitely recommended for lunches, dinners, or between meal snacks! I've always been fond of Blaze Pizza. It was my first "fast food" pizza place I tried a couple years back when it first opened. I love the fact that they have a spicy red sauce for your pizza. The staff is very friendly and service is quite quick. The location of this pizza establishment is in a nice area of Mason, Ohio, just a hop, skip and a jump away from a nice shopping plaza. When the five of us go out to eat, we are pretty much able do that for less than 30 dollars. A good value for quality food. read more

This was my first time visiting Blaze. The verdict - Excellent gluten free crust pizza! They will change gloves for you too! It is a $2 upcharge on the pizza to get the GF crust. I ordered pepperoni. The crust is very thin and delicious! I reheated it this morning and it reheats awesome too. They cook it in a fire oven right in front of you. It was my wife's birthday so naturally our boys want pizza. Checked Yelp for local pizza places and found Blaze. The good reviews pulled us in. The assembly line ordering style works very well for pizza IMO. We get 3 pizzas, one for myself, one for my 8 year old and my wife and 4 year old split one. The wood fire oven cooks the pizza quickly. They are thin crust pizzas so the bottoms get nice and crispy. My 8 year old unfortunately did not like the dark cooked spots on his pizza and was unhappy. I usually chalk it up as him being picky as usual but it's a family day and I want him to be happy. I kindly ask if a new pizza can be made and Jake the GM says no problem. He personally stood by the oven to watch the pizza and make sure it was cooked perfectly. And it was. My son was now happy and the world was set right. Then Jake brings out 2 s'more pies for my boys to compensate for the wait on the re-made pizza (obviously totally unnecessary). I try to give him a tip for the above and beyond service and he refuses. I was already convinced with my pizza that I would be back. Jake made sure the whole family was convinced. Bravo. read more

I typically pay $25 for the same type of pizza at some of the trendier places in the city. They were well staffed on a Saturday night, so the entire process from order taking to pizza completion was maybe 6 minutes. 3 minutes to make and 3 minutes to cook. It's a great place to go with a friend or two because everything is customizable and the prices are great. To describe Blaze, it's somewhere between and Chipotle an Subway. Chipotle in quality of ingredients, Subway in sheer volume of toppings. The staff is friendly, they get your name and familiarize you with their offerings if you've never been then you roll down the assembly line as they guide you through the process. You order your pizza and there is a wide variety of sauces, cheeses, meats, veggies and herbs and spices to build the perfect pizza. Once it is ready for the oven it takes just around three to four minutes to bake your pizza as the oven is at a toasty 500+ degrees. You can choose from Blaze's signature pies or build your own for just $6.95 or choose a cheese or one topping pizza for a buck less. Oh, and get this...unlimited toppings! Yes, really! The crust comes out a little crispy and has always been delicious. Oh, they also offer some salads and s'mores that also get baked in the oven. They are pretty awesome and were baked on some sort of English tea biscuit instead of a traditional graham cracker. The only problem is that at peak hours there will be a line and seating may be difficult. Other than that Blaze is a great place for lunch, dinner or carryout. They also stay open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays for that late dinner or carryout for a quiet night at home. I suggest you give this place a try. read more

This is by far my favorite pizza place I've ever been too. They have a build your own for only $7.25 and unlimited toppings. Since they are all individual size pizzas everyone gets what they want. I LOVE this concept! I was able to get everything I've ever wanted on a pizza with no upcharge (except a minimal one for the meat). On my first visit I ordered their BBQ gorgonzola pizza, but making your own is really where it's at. No more compromising on toppings with people sharing a pizza with me! No more carefully selecting toppings to avoid paying extra for more than two options! Extra sauce? Free! Extra cheese? Free! Olives, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, basil, onions, sauteed veggies? Free! This place is awesome!! As a few friends and I took a small vacation this weekend we stopped here at about 11pm and they close at 12 am. The awesome workers did not even try to rush us at all and was more than helpful for us being there for the first time! Cole the manager was very friendly and made a special pizza for us which was delicious! Derrick and Bryce was very helpful and answered all of my questions with a smile! We have frequented this chain, first in Virginia and now here in Mason. The team members are friendly, and the pizza is made right in front of you. My daughter loves the sausage and pepperoni regular crust. She always has a milk and a brownie. The s'mores pie is equally delicious. The three of us go there and eat for under $30. That would be 2 pizzas, 2 drinks a milk and a brownie. Even with a simple pie, cheese pizza, you can add finisher/toppers after it is baked. I usually add balsamic glaze and arugula. The pizza is fast fired in the massive gas fired oven. The crust is thin and crispy. If you are sharing a pie, ask for an extra plate. read more
