I've had better acai bowls, and in particular prefer them with more fresh fruit and whole grain/nut toppings than this one had so I'm can get some health value out of my sugary pleasures. But I will say that for location, this place does very well, filling a niche that is very much open, and providing a fantastic porch looking out over the lake. I was mildly bemused to be corrected in saying "longetivity bowl" (usually I'm the one correcting people on linguistic minutiae), but not terribly offended. From the moment you walk in you smell how healthy everything will be. The wheat grass scent is in the air. Every smoothie has one of those vegetables in it. About 8$ for a blended juice. And they taste like dirt but healthy clean dirt. I want to be health but I also want to enjoy life so I don't see myself coming back. Ok update: HORRIBLE iced coffee, like another Yelper said. I got the bananas foster iced coffee and it was so terrible, that I actually went back inside to kindly tell them that it just wasn't good. The young girl working there offered me no explanation of why this coffee tasted so bad. I explained to her what made it taste bad: there was hardly any ice, there was only a watered down coffee taste, with hints of banana and cinnamon taste. The drink cost me $4 and I just threw it away. She offered nothing...not even to say that she could remake it, get me something else, tell the manager, only said she was sorry. Nothing. Just sat there and just wasn't really that worried about it. This place will not last unless they step up their recipes or perhaps tell the staff how to make drinks. I get the whole healthy aspect, but my strawberry smoothie tasted like watered down milk and didn't even resemble a traditional smoothie.There is a way to make healthy taste decent, maybe even good. This was probably my worst experience getting an Açai bowl. Service was extremely slow, I was sweating during the 20 minutes I was waiting. Also I payed over 24 dollars for two açaí bowls. The açaí in the açaí bowl was very liquified, I was basically drinking with a spoon instead of a straw. Overall the taste was not bad, but it could've been a lot better. read more

Honestly not sure how this place makes it... aside from a fantastic location and the unique menu. Service is friendly enough but slow... never enough staff. Heater is ALWAYS on even when it's hot outside which makes it unbearable inside. When asked about it today, the your girl (so sweet) apologizes and explained that they were not allowed to turn the heater off. Smoothies are ok at best but mostly tasteless. Very pricey for what you get. As a vegan, I really want to like this place because the concept is awesome but each experience has been terrible. read more

The business is always clean and the workers are friendly and helpful. They also offer soft serve and will blend it with your facilitate fruit or "cheat sweet". Well today was the day, and I'm sorry I waited so long. What a comfortable, inviting place, with a comprehensive menu and awesome staff. Katie and Kaleab welcomed my wife and I, and provided a thorough and knowledgeable summary of the menu options. They joyfully helped steer me to a delicious custom smoothie that perfectly suited my tastes. They were a joy to visit with and have an obvious passion for their product and employer. This is my second time here and I only went because I had a gift card. I didn't know how much was on the gift card and the girl at the desk told me there was no way for her to look it up. I asked her which smoothie she would recommend and she gave me a couple of options. I told her I am dairy intolerant and she suggested one made with coconut water. I also told her I did not like the taste of beets and they reminded me of dirt. She said if you scrub the beets they don't taste like dirt. So I went with her suggestion and got the berry smoothie that had beets in it. Nine hours later and I'm still burping up the taste of dirt on a regular basis. I got the smoothie and a gluten-free chocolate chip cookie for my little boy. The total was over $12 which I thought was a little pricey considering the smoothies I make it home are done with fresh fruits and veggies and I could probably make enough to feed the neighborhood for that. It's not only that the smoothies don't taste great it's also that the customer service isn't that good and the prices are a little bit higher in my opinion. Blent is a great new addition to the choices offered in this laid back little enclave known as Mandeville , and is without doubt the healthiest place in town. The ingredients used are high quality organic , however , the lack of heavy daily traffic allows for many of the vegetables to get a little dried out by the fridge. Perhaps a constant light spray such as found in the super market would help keep them fresh. Also , if they set the veggies up for sale as well , they may find the extra sales would help their monthly bottom line. They may also want to consider gourmet sandwiches , it should increase foot traffic to their door. They DEFINItely need to improve their coffee , even though they may be using some high classed beans , the coffee here is terrible! The country music station that they play is another negative . We prefer no music at all. The porch is a big plus and is a great place to sit back and watch the world go by.
