And as a student myself, it really damages my mental health, knowing that I'm never going to see my friends again, and the only time I would, is if we hung out or if we are going to the same high school. Which is only 2 out of my whole friend group. And in preschool, I thought I was going to go though every grade with my best friends, but now that will never happen. It was just so sad leaving my friends on the last day. Please try your best to avoid this school. I really don't want your kids to go through what I had to go through. And it was absolutely devastating to leave the teachers that I knew and loved since the day I talked to them or someone told me about them. I will never forget everyone that was there for me and everyone who cared about me. And it's the fact that I have to walk into that school seeing none of my friends waiting there to greet me after a long summer. I know I've already said this but it's absolutely devastating. And to think that the people that I've known and cared about for either 1-8 years, will probably never see or remember me, and I probably wont remember them. I just wish he never became the principle. And I absolutely adore the teachers there that taught me through my 2 years of middle school, while they were there, and its been an absolute blast, I'm definitely going to miss them. Again, please avoid this school.

We were worried at first about how our children would fit in and if they would be behind as they did not start out in Montessori, but in a very short time, our 5 year old has learned to read, write and can count to 1,000 and our 3 year old has become more independent (cleaning around the house, getting dressed independently, etc.). We highly recommend Guidepost, it has been a great environment for our family.

As it got closer to opening and doing tours the staff said they would not initially have the main meals but would hope to get them in the coming months after opening. When it was time to start, they shared that I had been told the wrong information and they plan to never have the main meals, parents have to pack and provide those meals and the school will provide only snacks. I was able to get my deposit back but lost the $200 registration fee. I can't recommend this school because they do not provide meals, which is important to me and my family. However, the curriculum and classrooms are top of the line. So it just depends on what you need from a school/daycare.

A new principal and several new teachers have joined the school this year. Lots of up campus field trips are planned. An all-school musical/play is done at the end of each school year. Kids can start extra-curricular activities at 4th grade. Piano lessons are offered starting at age 4. Affordable before and after daycare is available before 8am and after 3pm. Both pastors seem courteous and respectful although we don't know them that well. The new school building is truly a warm and wonderful place with top notch classrooms, a beautiful gym and lunch area. A digital white board in the kindergarten room shows a move toward technology-assisted learning. Holy Cross PTO is working provide additional technology in all classrooms for the future. We are happy to be part of this church school this fall. Having worked and been active in a number of churches I can assure all that no church is perfect.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church has been deeply rooted in the Madison community for over 90 years. They offer early childhood as well as grade school education through 8th grade. Our daughter and countless other students received an excellent start, ensuring a smooth transition to high school and then on to college. Although they have superb teachers and curriculum, the Christian principals and foundation developed there is the true value to our family. Our grandchild now attends.

They have managed to get quite a few classrooms, media and other activity rooms into such a small urban footprint. We were there for a varsity basketball game and had a lot of fun. It was $5/adult for the game and they offered a variety of snacks at the concession stand throughout the event. The concessions were reasonably priced for everyone to enjoy. There was plenty of bleacher seating for the game. Home team and guest team were able to sit in designated areas. The cheer leading squads from both teams were entertaining to watch and lifted the spirits of their respective crowds. Reggie the mascot was not in attendance for West High and that was a little bit of a bummer. The kids like to see Reggie and get their photo taken. This high school offers top notch classes with great instructors. They have quite a variety of non-academic opportunities for our students too. Lots of clubs and athletic activities to get involved in. The graduation rate is high and the rate of students who go (and complete college level academics) is also very high.
