Very disappointed in the customer service of this company. We ordered shutters for our St. Pete home. The were out of temp blinds and promised me we would hear from them once they got them in. Many months passed (way beyond their time estimate), our shutters kept getting delayed and we had no communication from the company. I had to get in touch with them for updates. They never provided the temp shades. Then, when we finally got our shutters installed, some of the panels had nicks and defects. They said they would fix them but months passed with no communication. I had to get in touch with them several times before a call and it turns out they had the parts sitting in their warehouse and forgot to call us. Then we scheduled to have the work done and got Covid so had to delay two weeks. Been trying to get in touch with them for weeks to come out and fix our shutters. No luck. I regret paying this company in full. I do not think they plan to actually come fix our shutters. I can't recommend this company. read more

I called B&SG back in November 2021. I already knew exactly what I wanted. An in home appointment was conducted December 8th, 2021. All went well, The appointment lasted only 20 minutes because I already knew what I wanted. two options for fabric were chosen and she (Nancy, I believe) was suppose to get back to me. Two weeks later...I hadn't heard anything. Not a "thank you" email or any type of follow up. I called. She said she was "waiting" from someone to get back to her. I asked why she didn't communicate with me and she didn't have a response. I told her I prefer doing business with local business but that I was going to go ahead and at least talk to a larger company to which she said "Do what you need to do". I said Ok. I look forward to hearing from you. Here it is February 21, 2022 and I have yet to hear anything. I just called their office to see if maybe she was a bad salesperson and moved along. She hasn't. She is the only one who manages the draperies. They tried to talk me into another appointment and that I wouldn't be disappointed. Made time to meet at house for measurements. Was to get quote by email. 5 days later went to shop as agreed. Still quotes not ready. Was told couldn't get what we selected onsite, it was not offered in the sizes we needed. Salesman couldn't help us pick alternatives, we were left on our own to sort out. Later was called and was told something else that didn't allow us to order alternate. Prices were high, and did not include shipping or installation. We spent hours and nearly a week waiting. Have been wanting real, working shutters for the exterior of our home for years but haven't been able to find a company in/around Tampa. Saw an ad in a local magazine for Blind and Shutter Gallery and was so happy to learn that they not only carry, but also install the exterior shutters. Working with Peter was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and even had the shutter company rep come to our home and verify the correct mounting hardware for our block home. Am so happy with our shutters and receive countless compliments from neighbors. I had an in home consultation. I shared with the interior designer (ID) I also had another designer working (different company) on another home project separate from the one I had Blind and Shutter come out for. Later I called for a quote on an item and it was very difficult to reach the ID, when I did after a few calls I was asked "Why didn't I ask my other designer I'm sure they have that?" As if Blind and Shutter did not want to help. I saw this response very unprofessional. I overlooked it and months later wanted a quote on fabric that Blind and Shutter carries. Two weeks later got a call back on a Friday 10 min before they close (I was in a movie theater and missed the call). The Voice msg they left did not address my previous detailed msg's about the fabric and said this person wasn't working the weekend. I called first thing that Monday. Again days go by. No call back! The receptionist was even starting to feel bad taking my messages, knowing I had not received a call back after a few days of attempts. Once I was transferred to a male worker who took the name of the fabric and color and said he would give the msg to someone to get a quote back to me...It has been a month now. read more

Owner of the store lied to me face to face on several occasions! I purchased shutters for all of my townhome windows. One shutter had a staple become dislodged which no longer allows the one blind to close with the others. Reported situation on 4 different occasions and was told they would repair. One year later and no one has repaired as they said they would. Obviously, they do not stand by their product! read more
