When he brought it over and opened the box it was STEAMING, which shows how fresh it was made and all the toppings were fresh and plenty of them. Also, they have honey packets?! I've never seen a pizza place offer packets of honey to go, only hot honey to be added, I thought that was cool. While I typically prefer thin crust, Neapolitan style pizza, there is something about Blind Onion pizza that I love! The crust is definitely thick with an even thicker edge, yet it is light and buttery, not dense like lead as many thick crust pizzas are. They have many signature combinations and you can also create your own. I'm a traditional margarita or pepperoni pizza gal but the other night my friends wanted the General, a pizza that basically has everything! Sausage, salami, onions, blavk olives, peppers, mushrooms, red sauce and mozzarella. Exactly the type I avoid, lol. But it was delicious! Although had to be eaten with a knife and fork, another thing I don't ever do. My only criticism is that because there were so many toppings, they were not cooked enough for my preference. But that didn't stop me from eating two slices! We also ordered a chicken Parmesan pizza, with chicken breast and lots of mozzarella. Of the two, I preferred the General. "Terrible" was my first review but I need to expand just a bit. This is only related to Blind Onion level of customer service and their lack of respect they give their customers. We ordered a medium pizza and salad at 1:30pm for pick up/delivery service at 5pm. Sure seems like a good amount of heads-up time not to screw up an order. The ticket was $66.00 which is rather ridiculous but we understand, it is not easy saying open with the covid restrictions and prices have to go up. They had good enough YELP reviews so happy to support our essential businesses and appreciate what it takes to maintain good YELP standings. Just before 5pm we got an email saying our order was delayed until 5:30pm with no explanation. Not sure how 3.5 hours is not enough time to get an order ready but we understand, things happen. Just after 5:45pm we got an email saying our order was canceled again with no explanation, no phone call, no apology, no respect. This order was for my 87 year old Dad who was happy to chow down upon a pizza around 5pm but instead, he got nothing. Ok, if you want support from the community and want to claim your essential status for a pizza shop, then maybe you should not choose to be so arrogant you just blow customers off like it does not matter. I am sure that the Hawaiian was tasty but the truth is I don't know as I fell deeply in love with the Breath Buster at the first bite and other than grabbing occasional bits of pineapple off the pan I only wanted this lovely savory ode to chunky garlic. When it got to the table the first thing I noticed is that the garlic is very roughly chopped and liberally sprinkled across the pizza. It was not over powering even though it easily could have been. Now I want to try other kinds although I may have the breath buster as 1/2 and a new one each time I go in. It was our first visit but won't be our last. Anyone could be comfortable here. They serve the pizza on a paper plate, which you might think would be gross because pizza usually makes the paper greasy. But Blind Onion pizza isn't greasy. So the plate was light and you can just toss it. It's amazing that the pizza isn't greasy. I got one slice of the Hawaiian. Could be the best Hawaiian pizza I've ever had. They go all in on the toppings. The cheese is thick but not too thick. The famous Blind Onion crust is famous for a reason. Perfection. Charles Entertainment Cheese would be proud of this sugary mess. The whole thing might be 100% Sysco. I think this place, like so many I've encountered in Vancouver that have inexplicably positive reviews, has food in order to make people stay while they order beer and wine. They don't offer delivery and none of the ingredients, from what I could discern, seem to be intentionally sourced; Everything is the distributor's generic offering. I'm sure they make some small customizations to distinguish themselves from cafeterias and 7-11, but that's it. They can post some pics of their walk-ins if they want to show me up, I guess. This sort of place is why I increasingly feel I can't trust reviews in Vancouver. Everyone is blinded by the beer or, perhaps more likely, they just think that this is the quality that neighborhood pizza joints do/should have. As though being somewhat better than Little Caesar's is enough to justify the price difference, despite the ingredient quality being nearly identical. This pizza is made from Hormel meats and mediocre shredded cheese you can buy at the grocery store. Go on the Sysco or Hormel Commercial Food Service websites and look up the pepperoni and salami. They have the same orange-rimmed casing, because they use paprika oleoresin and liquid smoke instead of the real thing, which results in an orange hue. (The same as on BBQ-flavored potato chips.) Their Canadian bacon was the worst, but that's not really their fault. They're a business, and people want soggy ham on pizza because they've never had real Hawaiian pizza, with properly pan-fried bacon or Spam. I think the lowlight, though, is the cheese. Just lifeless. This is what happens when low-quality, under-aged cheese is pre-shredded. It's covered in cellulose powder and has an antifungal additive to improve shelf life on top of not having enough time to mature and develop a flavor profile. Not a big deal when you're getting shredded cheese at the market to make a midnight shame burrito, but a mark of laziness for a pizza restaurant. Shredding cheese on-premises is not difficult, costs less than a dollar per unit, and even if you want to stay cheap, every supplier offers mozzarella logs. Blind Onion might even get them already if it offers a mozzarella sandwich or salad. It only takes one prepper and a food processor. I'm fine - and most people are fine - paying a little extra per unit if we can taste the difference. Sorry to the cooks at this place. Y'all deserve better management so you can make food up to your capabilities. read more

They have a lot of random flavors but it was fresh and well made. Just got off the phone with the manager at this place. The day is January 17th, 2021. My name is Ethan. I ordered a half and half pizza, I specified white sauce on half and red on the other. They gave me a pizza with only red sauce. I called in and politely told them they messed up the order, and the manager told me that it was in the computer as all red sauce, so they could only offer me 10% off my NEXT order. When I said to him that I think that's ridiculous, because they messed up my order he then offered me 50% off my NEXT order. I told him I don't want to come here again cause I paid 40 dollars for a pizza and cheese bread, double checked the order with the girl on the phone and the pizza came back wrong. I know it's Covid season and restaurants got it hard right now but I couldn't imagine penny pinching so much that they try to force you to order again to get compensated for their mistakes. Wrong business practices and the manager on January 17th working around 4:30-5:00 should have done more for the customer. If this is the owners idea to keep these unprofessional practices then shame on you for encouraging your employees to act that way. As someone who works in food, the answer to you messing up a customers order is always either remake it right or compensate them fully. I cant tell you how big of a heart the owners of this place have. I asked them to send a large number of pizzas to a senior living facility for the staff as a thank you during these difficult times. Once the owner realized what I was doing he insisted on bending over backwards to make it happen. Without me asking he offered me a special discount on the pies and offered to deliver them not just at lunch time but also at the 5pm shift change so everyone working in the facility had hot, fresh pizza! I have been eating here for years (the BBQ Chicken Pizza is the best anywhere) but what they did for the front line health care workers was an amazing, selfless act. Stellar pizza, with artistically hand-rolled crust. It almost has a pretzel-ish crust while remaining doughy and buttery. LOVED IT. They allow you to split flavors too, which is nice so you can just buy a LARGE with two completely different flavors going down the middle. As delicious as that was though, I could have eaten the cheesy garlic bread all by myself. Heck, two orders of it (especially at $3.75 for six large pieces). I know, I'm disgusting, that sounds like cheesy, garlic, carb overload, but it was delicious, I would do it mannn, I would totally do it.
