I am new to the Amarillo area (from Washington) and was looking to find a local Med Spa, mainly for Botox. After doing some research online, I discovered that Awaken Med Spa was close by and had good consumer reviews overall, so I went ahead and booked an appointment. On the day of my appointment I checked in and was brought to a waiting room. Briefly after, I was greeted and led back to a treatment room by Kati, an NP, who is also the owner of the spa. We discussed the treatment plan for Botox injections in the common areas, (forehead, crow's feet and between the brow). Everything seemed to be going fine until she began working on my crow's feet area and nearly injected into my upper cheek. I have had Botox injections a handful of times and I had never had an esthetician make that low of an injection for crow's feet. This was also my first experience of having the esthetician jump right into doing injections without marking the desired injection locations prior. Despite feeling uneasy about it, I trusted that she knew what she was doing with her 12 years of experience, per the Awaken Med Spa webpage. After just 2 days I began to notice dimple-like impressions (as if someone were pinching my cheeks) underneath my eyes in the areas that were injected near my cheeks, if not into my actual cheek muscle. These areas had also begun to pull on the skin under my eyes to cause prominent horizontal skin folds. I called to make a follow up appointment and initially I was told that I need to wait a total of 10-14 days. I called back voicing my concerns and was able to set an appointment for that coming Monday. I felt reassured that I would soon be able to address my legitimate concerns/dissatisfaction, for which I was hopeful there would be a resolution. Monday came and I arrived for my follow up. Once in the treatment room, I showed Kati the depressions under my eyes. At first, she responded as though she had no idea what I was talking about. She even commented "I wish my Botox would look like yours." I expressed my (justified) insecurity and dissatisfaction with the way that the Botox had made my under eyes look and her 'solution' was to just let it wear off in three months. No empathy. No ownership of her miscalculated injections. No additional treatment offered. No discount. No refund. Nothing. I was not happy with that 'solution', so she agreed to put 0.5 units on each side of the dimples which made no difference. I understand that even people who are experts at what they do can sometimes make mistakes. However, I am very displeased with the lack of effort to rectify my warranted concerns. I feel incredibly insecure with the way that I look right as of result of these shoddy Botox injections, especially when I smile. If I could leave zero stars I would. I will not be back.

The massage chairs were a little dated, and hard to figure out how to use. Once they got going though, the massage was great! Strong and relaxing. They did have drinks, cokes and water. My friend I was with would have liked a margarita or something that most salons usually serve but that wasn't offered so we just assumed they didn't have them. Everything was clean and well organized. Each technician wore gloves until the very end when they were applying the polish. I got the $60 lavender and tangerine pedicure. The treatment was over all about forty minutes and I loved every minute of it. They were gentle, thorough, and everything was very relaxing. I was there it's my grandmother, who has very sensitive feet and skin. We let them know and they were very gentle and made sure to check in with her regularly. Then the polish came, it was just a regular polish coat and then a sealing coat. There was no acrylic for pedicures, so no sealing light or gel, at least not any that I could see, however I did not ask so that might be on me. The technicians were friendly, sweet, and willing to have conversations. They even got in on our banter and it was a good time. When we ended, we paid, and they took $5 off for our wait. Over all I had a great experience at this family owned business. The critiques I have are small, but I would definitely return again.

I stopped him and told him I do gel all the time and never had problems. He fixed them but had a bad attitude the entire time and was super rough handling my hands and did a really sloppy job just to get it done. I can tell the fix wont last very long either. I will never go back. I should have known from the first time getting them done this round was going to be a bust, he didn't even go all the way down to the nail bed.

It's appointment only, and once you sit in the chair, you get it. This isn't some quick walk-in cut. Jayton takes his time and really cares about getting it right. We talked about golf while the Golf Channel played in the background, and he even recommended a great audiobook about Palo Duro Canyon and Texas history. I actually bought it right after I left and listened to the first chapter as I cruised into Amarillo. Jayton is well-read, thoughtful, and passionate about what he does. He clearly loves golf, Texas, and barbering. The haircut itself was amazing. I'm a bit of a Goldilocks when it comes to my hair--not too short, not too long--and he absolutely nailed it. The mix of scissors and clippers was perfect, and the beard trim pulled everything together. When I looked in the mirror, I honestly couldn't believe how Hollywood I looked walking out of that shack. This was easily the best haircut I've ever had. I almost always find a few stray hairs after a cut, but not this time. It was perfect. Even though Amarillo is six hours from home, I think I've found my new barber.
