We love coming here but only for the month of June then again after labor day due to the craziness of most boaters. It settles down and is great as a weekend getaway. Plenty of mooring balls to be had if you get there early. read more

First....I would not stay at any of the other marinas on The Block...they have improved the docks but don't expect rock solid....the docks move about way to much large gaps so watch your pets...the electric is new but because of new codes there is a very fussy ground fault system that trips the breaker so some (mostly older boats) could not run their air conditioner ....$6.00 per foot and you have to run your gun set....I guess you should get a mooring....the bath rooms will give you nightmares for the rest of your life....deploying your dingy is made as hard as possible and for me I use it to go to the beach, fishing, or just puttering about...don't forget to get your pink sticker....THEY forgot to tell me and decided to cut my chained dingy and drag it to a mooring (my old dingy was stollen last time I visited thus the chain) ....nice...the young boys that help tie up your boat are the best at it....and I have been doing this for a long time. The Block will always do well especially with the heavy drinking crowd....My wife and I don't drink so it is not our favorite port of call...lots of noise and drunk people read more
