Since the funeral home is in this area, I decided to check out the closest options for floral arrangements. After coming up with 3 or 4 results that looked likely in my computer search, I saw that Jane Flowers had the highest ratings. Fellow Yelpers gave this establishment rave reviews, so I looked into this option a little more. If you try looking for a website like I did, don't be alarmed when you come up empty there. This place is a long time, grass roots business that is well known in the industry, because they've been doing solid work for a long time. I called and lo and behold, a human being answered. I asked if they had a website and they confirmed that they don't. No matter - I was pretty confident from other reviews that they would be able to fill the order satisfactorily, and for a good price. I explained our need and the staff asked what budget I had in my mind, what colours, etc. I simply said we needed a funeral arrangement, white flowers, maybe a little bit of greenery. When she asked about the time of the visitation, I realized my husband hadn't provided that bit of info. No matter - she immediately offered to call the funeral home for me. Wow! When we arrived at the service this afternoon, we were super pleased with our order. The flowers were beautiful, the card was properly written, there was an appropriate black bow around the vase. The small shop sells beautiful vases, prearranged bouquets, and also has a glass case filled with the most stunning (and expensive) fresh flowers in the neighborhood. While prices are expensive ($25+ for a stem of silk flowers) the quality is undeniable and the flowers look real! I recently purchased some silk flowers to fill two vases I had received as a wedding gift. I chose the stems and greenery (with the help of knowledgeable staff ) and opted to put the arrangements together on my own (saving about $70 in labour). If you are looking to purchase a more complicated custom arrangement, however, the staff at Flowers Plus are extremely talented and reliable, and for the extra money you'll get something that will look stunning and last forever.

The final result looked absolutely nothing like the inspiration board and many items laid out clearly in the contract were left out. Budget does not go a long way at this company! Overpriced for what we received. During post wedding discussions with the owner, her responses were "this is not a negotiation", "oh well, human error", and lastly "no one reads the contract, it is not binding". Owner was horrible to deal with. In the end, we did get a refund for a small amount, but please save yourself the disappointment on your big day and go somewhere else!
